From check in to check out great. The staff the rooms the breakfast all great. We had 4 double rooms and a twin and were all placed on the same floor. The rooms were clean and modern . The bed was very comfortable. The staff were freindly and attentive. Couldnt ask for a better place to stay on a short visit to London
My family of 5 stayed here on 11/24-26 in 3 rooms. The first night they upgraded us to a suite which consists of a bedroom and bathroom on the first floor (room 104) and a spiral staircase up to a living room on the second floor with a half bath, mini bar, nespresso machine, desk. There were lightbulbs out in the bathroom and bedroom, making the room very dark. There were not enough outlets where the bedroom was. I was awoken at 8:30 a.m. by construction (hammering and drilling) below - we had just gone to sleep at 3 a.m.When I asked at the front desk why they put me in a room directly above the construction, they told me that the construction was not to start until 10 a.m.I requested to be switched to a room on a higher floor (they required that I remove all items from the suite and I would not have access to the new room until much later that day). That evening I switched rooms. The room on the 4th floor - 422 I believe, was fine - very tight space - but quieter. The issue was the condition of the room. The sink was not draining properly and the shower was not either. With a 5 minute shower, the water overflowed from the shower (which, if you are showering in it, is quite disgusting - bacteria). They provided hair conditioner in the suite but not the regular room. There was grout missing from most of the tiles in the foyer of the room. When I went to check out I provided a list of the necessary repairs (for the various rooms we had). While speaking with the front desk clerk, she received a call - which she took - after I waited a minute, I walked away. With a cursory glance, despite the construction, the hotel looks fine. Once you sit in the lobby and look around, you realize that it is quite beat up and really needs repair.Location is fine - right near the Earl's court Tube stop - plenty of restaurants in the area that are open late. It was easy to get there from Heathrow via Tube & walking 7 minutes to the hotel.
It was interesting experience and location was excellent close to Harold's shopping mall. The only problem they were doing renovations during our stay which wasn't convenient to family vacation. I wish we were notified in advance. Otherwise every thing else met expectations
The hotel does not feel like a 4*. Yes the lobby is being renovated. My room possibly in areas needs a bit of decorating. Parts of the wallpaper was peeling along the seams. The shower head wouldn't stay in its fixture so had to be hand held. The TV even when switched off by the control still shone its back light couldn't find the power switch to turn off at the mains. The room backed onto the lift so was noticeable when being used. The breakfast was good. I wouldnt recommend I'm afraid and the staff pleasant.
A big room with a nice view of the roofs of London, close to two underground stations, and a charming staff. It is also surrounded by great restaurants, so you do not have to get far away form the hotel to have a wonderful dinner. And you can find a Sainsbury´s in the way to the hotel from Gloucester Road, just in case you need something.
