Disappointing

Chose this hotel as we like the NH group. We were late arriving as our flight was delayed. The two boys on reception were not particularly helpful or friendly. Got to our room and unpacked and then went down to the bar for a nightcap before bed. The bar was just closing. No joy there. The room was fine with a good bathroom and the lovely NH toiletries. However, it was situated next to the lift which disturbed my sleep until I found my earplugs!Decided to try the breakfast out the next morning, it was chaotic. Not enough staff on, no glasses or teaspoons. Having said that the two staff on were friendly and helpful but just too busy. The soft boiled egg I had was the best I have ever had in a hotel. Top marks for that. No milk in room, we went out to a local supermarket and bought some. The nicest person we encountered on our stay was Juliet, who served us on our last evening in the bar. She couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly. The others, especially on reception, could learn a lot from her. Doubt that we will return but it would not stop using other NH hotels.

NH London Kensington hotel

Stayed with daughter in standard room with 2 seperate beds.Nice to have a kettle and mini fridge in room.Room had enough space to move around and stow suitcases.Also nice that window can be opened.Airco did not work that well for heating.Had to set it to 29 degrees to warm up room, roomtemperature was cold.Location very good,near Earls court stn. with direct metro from/to LHR.,and bus in front of hotel.Took only 15 minutes to the city centre.Friendly staff who speak different languages.Also possible to have Etickets printed (boarding cards, entrance tickets etc.) The only cons are that they take a pre authorization amount on your creditcard ,and this is only paid back to your creditcard after several weeks. And housekeeping was very noisy/loud whilst cleaning rooms...But will gladly return to this hotel.

Lovely hotel, great staff!

I stayed at NH London Kensington for 10 days and everything was great! The hotel is really nice, it is very well maintained and extremely clean. I had a very spacious room on the lower ground floor, which was very quiet, facing a lovely back garden. The rooms are promptly cleaned each morning, and they provide coffee and tea, snacks and a full-stocked mini-bar (which was also useful to use as a little fridge to store small items) and they refill it every day. They offer excellent service, I used their room service a couple of nights and the food was delicious and not terribly overpriced, like it happens in most hotels. A special mention to their front desk staff, they were all very nice and professional. I had to extend my stay for a few more days and they were extremely nice to give me the best rate they could. Also, they were all very friendly, they would welcome me every time I entered the hotel and ask how may day was, which was lovely. I had a great experience and I would definitely stay there again!

Caos

I’ve booked this hotel to spend New Year’s Eve with my wife, from the first moment everything were problems and caos with the hotel. I’m a platinum guest at nh and they send me an email at 23:30 in the night threatening me with canceling my booking because my credit card was not valid.After that I provide another one and they charged my immediately.I request a booking to dinner in the New Year’s Eve and I had to send 5 emails and nobody answers until I have got to call 4 times to nh rewards complaining.But the worst part was still coming;I canceled the booking because I didn’t feel like I wanted to spend my Xmas holidays with that little care to me as guest.After 12 days I still haven’t received my money back because nh claims that they returned back to the unvalid card where they weren’t able to charge at the beginning.After 9 calls to nh rewards, talking to all managers from nh rewards and the hotel Manager Claire, my money seems lost (almost 900€) and nobody is able to give me a solution.These seems a trend in the nh chain, where lately care to customers is totally disappointing and seems that all they want is to charge fast.I sleep 5-10 nights per month in nh and I’m thinking to look for another hotel chain that is taking more care to profesional travelers.

Excellent hotel in great location

Stayed at this hotel with my daughter for her Duke of Edinburgh award presentation. Room was clean, warm & comfortable with great facilities. It is ideally situated just a 5 min walk from the tube. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of choice. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Despite being on a busy road we could hear nothing of the traffic inside, hotel is obviously really well insulated. A fantastic break booked through Superbreak, I couldn't believe how cheap it was and it included train travel,I would certainly stay here again.
