Our OpinionThis hotel is connected to the Imperial hotel through a lounge area. Their Night & Day Pub has excellent fish & chips. Just across from Russell Square Park. No hair dryers at this hotel.
Great room, very very friendly and helpful Staff. But we recommend upgrading from included Continental breakfast at 5pound each, as the included had precooked toast... Which was cold and somehow soggy. And only other option was cereal, no muffins, pastries, just plain toast or cereal. So if you want excitement pay for it.
I came as part of a British Airways package deal, choosing the hotel mainly because of its location on the Piccadilly Line from Heathrow. I am glad I did. A very good hotel. I booked a single room which had a double bed and plenty space. The breakfast each morning was fantastic - so much choice and plenty of it. (The coffee was a bit strong for me but that’s just a personal taste) I had room service on night and, may I suggest, you think about the presentation of the Night and Day plate. Everything is brown and it does not look in the slightest bit appetising- although it tastes absolutely fine! Again a nit picky thing. The room was warm and very comfortable. Beds changed daily which doesn’t happen everywhere. I would definitely return and would recommend it to anyone travelling to London. Great central position also.
Went there for a business trip and stayed only 1 night. I can't tell what's the price like as this was booked by our company's office manager, but she said it was a really good bargain. It's located next to Russel Square Underground station, 10 minutes on foot from St. Pancras International station and 5 minutes from British museum. Great location! Room wasn't something special, but was spacious enough, I had also a bathtub. The only thing I didn't like was the breakfast as I was entitled the so-called continental breakfast which was comprised of slice of bread and a cheap jam. There wasn't even butter included (that's actually why I didn't give my review 5 stars). Not sure if this is the case in other hotels with the "continental breakfast", but this wasn't satisfactory at all. In summary - I recommend this hotel if you want somewhere to stay near to all the city's landmarks and not have to pay a mint of money. PS: Make sure you book English breakfast!
Stayed at this hotel as it came as a package with soccer tickets. Location is less than a minute walk from Russell Square Station. Arrived at the hotel at 9am and was happy to be able to check-in early. Room was spacious and quiet. Toilet was big with a bathtub, but the shower head is fixed, not the removable kind as with most hotels internationally, but not a big issue for us. There were two kind of breakfast - English breakfast with more food choices, and International breakfast with only bread and cereals. You can pay GBP5 on the spot to upgrade from International to English breakfast. Breakfast staff were efficient and attentive. There are many restaurants and supermarkets nearby.
Hotel is in a good location . Rooms are fine. We had a cavery on first night which was ok . Drinks reasonable prices for hotel. Breakfast is buffet style and is tasty. Rooms are cleaned daily. Check in and out was speedy
