Sheraton Park Lane
- What's Included
I had stayed at the hotel last week, and im satisfied with the service, and with the rooms, the afternoon tea was great, and i was satesfaid with the service i had received. Thank you verry much. Maybe one day i will come back
I stayed three nights in this hotel due to a business trip. My room on the 5th floor was big, modern and clean. I ordered room service two nights, and the service as well as the food was really good. The staff was attentive and caring during my whole stay. In addition to this, the location is beautiful and I was able to walk to the main tourist attractions. I would totally recommend 100% this hotel.
For my birthday I splurged and booked the Grand Suite at the Sheraton Grand Park Lane in London, it is a massive and perfectly appointed suite in the newly renovated Park Lane. The suite had a large dining area and bar with a fireplace, a separate desk area and guest bathroom, a huge living room overlooking the park, a large bedroom complete with IPhone if needed for your stay, and a stunning bathroom. We were shown the hotel's new Club Lounge and other amenities including gym and the Palm Court. We had the signature afternoon tea at the famed Palm Court, which was outstanding. We then had friends up to the suite where a hotel bartender came up and treated us to a 2 hour cocktail making class complete with plenty of bottles and accoutrements. The hotel also dropped off a large birthday present gift of champagne, cheese and cake. The hotel renovation was very impressive. Previously the hotel had been dated and worn, now it is an amazing property in one of the best locations in London.
I have visited the Birdcage Lounge at the Sheraton Grand many times for afternoon tea before and it can either be wonderful or awful depending upon the staff. The day I went I think the hotel was understaffed and it showed. Service was very slow. I had ordered free-flowing Chapel Down sparkling wine but on three occasions it took over 20 minutes for my glass to be refilled. My scones were rock hard and inedible and I had to wait another 20 minutes for my bill. On other occasions I have visited, service has been very good. Not this time. I had submitted a dietary request and this time that was taken care of. The staff were very friendly but as a long time visitor to all the 5 star hotels (Claridges, Dorchester, Connaught, Sofitel St James) who never fail to impress, the Sheraton Grand continues, unfortunately, to once again be more miss than hit. My bill was reduced by 25% but that was only after I had complained. I may give the hotel one more chance and then possibly try another hotel. The Marriott, West India Quay is out shining the Sheraton at present and is £10 cheaper for their free-flowing champagne tea.
Thank you Sheraton and team for amazing weekend. Location cannot beat. Service amazing. Special thanks to restaurant team. Cannot remember names but I think they were Italians. You did great work ! Sense of luxury mm. Thank you! Definitely will stay here if back in London!
