Sheraton Park Lane
- What's Included
When snow was forecast, we left home early and got a last minute reservation at this recently remodeled hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. At check in, the porter explained that we would have free use of the handy phone in our room and could call the states free of charge. This was a smart phone and it was very useful for getting directions and maps while walking around London. The room was small but clean, with a comfortable bed and lovelyclean linens. A robe and slippers were provided. It was also very quiet! The location is great as you are close to many attractions and a Pret a Manger is close by for a quick coffee and croissant. There is a restaurant in the hotel but prices are typically high for hotel breakfasts.I would highly recommend this hotel.
I have stayed here twice in the past couple of weeks and on both occasions had a brilliant experience. Reception staff were extremely professional, friendly and amazingly helpful. The rooms are beautifully renovated in true deco style, glamorous and spacious with beds you just sink into; very comfortable for relaxing and business. I had an art deco suite on the second visit - stunning! The club lounge was beautiful, and again with helpful and friendly staff. I personally love the location as I like morning walks around Hyde Park, have all the great shopping nearby, and a tube station 5 minutes away. This will be my "new home away from home in London" and I'll be very much looking forward to my future visits.
What a fabulous treat. Afternoon tea with ever flowing bubbles. Great setting, great service, delicious food and a harpist to listen too. We loved it. Our waiter was so attentive and kept replenishing both food and drink, thanks lorenzo. Concierge was helpful and polite really taking pride in the hotel. Will definitely be back.
Service at reception was good, club lounge was beautiful, restaurant was pretty decent and rooms were very nicely renovated. Had USB points in the room and even the club lounge to charge your phones so for a smartphone junkie like me, I was in heaven. So why not 5 stars? As a gym fanatic, the fitness center I felt was missing some equipment and it most certainly had the space to put in a smith machine, Olympic bars and increase the dumbbell weights beyond 22kgs. And finally, my biggest gripe about the hotel are the lifts. The hotel was recently renovated but put in the most uncoordinated and slowest lifts (during peak hours anyway) of any hotel I've ever stayed in. And there were only two of them.
Location is ok just a short walk to most places or catch the tube from green park station. Can walk straight through Green Park to Buckingham Palace to see changing of the guards but is very busy. The hotel is lovely in the main entrance and the staff are so friendly and very helpful with anything you need. The room however is very small but the king size bed amazingly comfortable. Nowhere to hang anything not even a place to hang your towel in the bathroom. The room itself is very nice but just nowhere to put your suitcase and much else probably ok for one person. Heating works well and is comfortable unfortunately our room overlooked the alleyway so we kept the blinds shut. Be careful in the bathroom as the shower leaked water on the main floor which soaked the bath mat every time we had a shower. Shower head delivers heaps of water which is nice and is very roomy. No power outlet in the bathroom to plug hairdryer or straightener in so ypu need to use the main desk to do this which does have a mirror. We didnt eat at the restaurant as they were way too exspensive but the food did look nice for what we had seen. Overall i wouldnt stay here again it didnt suit what we wanted but we got the room cheaper than normal so im not complaining just trying to give a review to help anyone to make a choice. Probably great for a business trip.
