Perfect beds to crash after long flight. Great cup of coffee there. Nice bar for late night connections. Attentive staff. An 'A'. Bit pricey at $600 US a night. Very well done meeting support. Elevators a bit slow
This beautiful hotel in Mayfair felt like I walked back into time and into the Great Gatsby. The decor was beautiful and art decco in every detail. The location was perfect. Mere steps away from the underground and many places to dine and shop. We thoroughly enjoyed the spring weather walking through Green Park each day to go to and from our stop.We were very spoiled and got one of the corner suites overlooking Green Park. The room was just as beautiful as the rest of the hotel with our dining area and sitting area separate from the bedroom. The bed was so comfortable and deeply welcomed after staying in a few other places that felt like sleeping on a rock. The staff was always courteous and we really enjoyed the club lounge that so many hotels have done away with. It is really a great touch having breakfast, afternoon tea and evening snacks each day.I would definitely stay here again for a luxurious experience and the great location!
I stayed there for a night and since it was quite late I was very hungry so I decided to call room service , I called around 10 times and no ever one answer so I decided to call reception to tell that I wanted some food and no one was replying on the assigned number they gave me , and she just kept telling me to wait I called again and she told me to wait again. This is really unacceptable and it was really unprofessional , there are certain standards that this type of hotel should need and even these haven't been met.
A well appointed, clean hotel, let down by the service. We were staying for an event being held at the hotel. We thought we would have a quick cup of tea and some sandwiches in the Palm Court (a lovely room) when we arrived. It took them 35 mins to bring the food - we wondered what was so complicated that took so long. That evening, the event we were attending was held in the ballroom. We arrived at the reception about 5 minutes after the start time to find that the reception drinks were not ready and the staff were being out 4 glasses at a time for the 150 or so people. It took two of the hosts to go out back to organise the hotel staff into getting the reception drinks out. If it had been my event, I would have been absolutely furious. Service at the dinner was not much better. Twice, someone on our table was left out when the drinks were pour. As for coffee after dinner, the cups arrived. However after half an hour, most of the guests gave up and went on elsewhere.Service at breakfast - well, lets say it hadn't improved from the night before. My advise, whilst the hotel is lovely, the bedrooms recently refurbished and food reasonably, London is full of better served hotels which are just as impressive, if not more so.Would I stay here again or consider it for my own events - no.
My wife, our three kids and I spent a week in London in mid-April. The Sheraton Grand Park Lane was the perfect home base for our stay. It is close to many of the major sightseeing destinations (either a walk or a couple of tube stops away) but just far enough away that it feels much less touristy.Great location, with Green Park directly across the street and the Green Park tube stop right up the street. A short 5 minute walk through the park and you are at Buckingham Palace. Hotel staff was great, especially all of the ladies at the front desk. And the club lounge here is wonderful. Great spread for breakfast to start our day as well as snacks and drinks in the afternoon for weary sightseers. Lounge was expansive and comfortable and our kids especially liked to secure one of the nooks. Service in club lounge was super efficient and friendly. Thanks to all!
