St Ermins Hotel
- What's Included
My husband and I spent 3 nights at the St. Ermin's hotel in February. It is a lovely hotel, with very helpful and pleasant staff. Our room was very nice, big enough, very comfortable bed, great bathroom/shower, and coffee/tea service in the room. It is in a wonderful location in terms of walking to some of the major sights: Westminster Abby, Big Ben, Churchill War Rooms and Buckingham Palace. We had a plan that included breakfast and dinner. Meals were delicious, especially breakfast. The dining area was comfortable and bar area was cozy, with a fire going in the fireplace. I would highly recommend this hotel for a stay in London.
This is a fantastic hotel. Its tucked away so you're not bothered traffic. Its also right around the corner from St James Park underground station and less than a mile from many of the major attractions (Westminster Abbey, Buckingham palace etc). The staff were professional and courteous. The rooms are quite comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
This is a great hotel is you're all about cozy, comfort, and location. You are about 10 mins to Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, and 15 to the eye. The staff was happy to help with anything and asked daily what they could help with. The dinner wasn't our fav but they do make some great martinis at night. The rooms are typical and smaller but the beds are great and clean. Had a great trip and would return here for Thanksgiving.
I stayed at the St. Ermin's for 5 nights. I've stayed in a lot of hotels all over the world and this by far had the worst service I've ever received. I checked in and was initially given a room that had another person staying there. Super horrible error as that was a major security issue and luckily I wasn't a theft. Let's just say I was concerned. I was then told, sorry no rooms are available in same room category. We will have to upgrade you. Upgrade meant I was going from a large bed to two smaller beds. What upgrade? I got up to the room and no so called upgrade. I was given a one bed (okay with me) but what happened to their upgrade they just mentioned? Does anyone at the front desk know what's going on? Again, I'm concerned. First night I got zero sleep as construction was immediately next door. The next day I was given a new room, the so called upgraded room with two smaller beds, but now you could hear word for word the people next door. The walls were so thin you could hear everything that was going on day and night. I was ever given an apology or free breakfast or anything. The hotel is centrally located near the tube however that is the only reason to stay at this hotel. It's way overpriced even for London and it's outdated expect for the lobby which is very nice. It just fools you and all show. Stay somewhere else in London. I will never stay there again due to rude employees and zero service.
I travelled last week to St. Ermins for a girls mother and daughter trip. Prior to our arrival I have communication with concierge staff Mario. Mario was extremely helpful and accommodating as I planned my trip. He was arranged for Balloons to be purchased and placed in our room for my daughter's birthday and provided me with a set up for car service. I was a little nervous traveling to another country with just me and my girls- but he totally put me at ease. The room is small to American standards. That being said we were so busy we really only used it for sleep! The beds were quite comfortable. The room was kept very clean and tundown service with sleep spray and little chocolate bumble bees was a sweet touch. The concierge staff was extremely abundant and very helpful. This is a top notch classy establishment. We enjoyed a few nights of evening complimentary wine and snacks in the lobby...and the hostess' for that were so sweet and friendly! The breakfast and dinner meals were fantastic! The manager made sure he introduced himself on our 1st day and we knew he would assist with just about anything. The service was excellent. I had lost my credit cards in the lounge area and one of the bartenders was so accommodating in helping me to look and find it!Location is second to none. A quick walk around the corner to the tube!Marriot should be proud of this property! it is a true gem!
