Our Opinion
St. Giles has a great location just off Oxford St with lots of shopping, restaurants, and pubs nearby. Only a 2 minute walk to Tottenham Court tube station. However rooms are quite small with shower only.
The St Giles Hotel, is a modern property in the heart of the West End. Arguably the most Central Hotel in London, located only 50 yards from Tottenham Court Road tube/underground station at the junction with Oxford Street, close to shopping, the theatre district, and the British Museum. The hotel dining facilities feature the Il Grasso Restaurant, Chikara Chinese Restaurant, The Lazy Dog Bar, and Kobe Jones Californian-Japanese Restaurant adjoined to the hotel. Guests also have use of the extensive Leisure Centre located under the hotel including a 25 metre indoor Fitness Swimming Pool, Sauna and over 50 exercise machines.

Great location, spartan room

Stayed on the first floor in the east side annex, some sort of massive humidity problem in the corridor with a terrible smell due to it, it partly carried over to the room. No existing ventilation & a very spartan room in general. All of it weighed up by its great location & a very affordable price. The staff was extremely friendly & helpful

Another lovely stay

Well, the wife and myself decided to return to the St Giles for our Birthdays. Once again, everything was perfect. There was some building work going on in the reception area but was no inconvenience to anyone. Was upgraded to executive room which was lovely. Breakfast was again super and we dined one night in the VQ restaurant which is open 24 hours. Lovely meal at reasonable price considering Central London location. Check in / out was simple and the staff always have a smile and nothing is too much trouble. Can't wait for our next trip to London. It will certainly be the St Giles for us.

Overnight stay for west end function

This hotel has a fab location, room was good, has a nice bar, staff were great apart from a huge breakdown in communications between the receptionist and the concierge which was close to wrecking our arranged evening !!!!I asked reception if I could book a taxi for an hour later she politely said no need sir as the concierge only needs five minute notice, later I asked the concierge to order a taxi he replied he could not as he could not leave his desk !!!! I had to flag one down myself in the rain which took 30 minutes and I went to a function late & wet !!!!

Average London hotel

Average London hotel. Ok room for London (they are on the small side, to be nice). Found it really weird that you buy a wifi code in the snacksmachine in corridor. Cash-based portier-service with handwritten "receipts" - what is that? Portier worked rather hard to discourage us from ordering a taxi to airport, while colleague could do it "cheaper". Odd.The building is nice, the Italian in-house restaurant also. Short walk to Oxford st. Had a nice enough stay. Could stay again, but might not.

Good location

This is a hotel with a great location. All the shops are nearby. The rooms are average and there's carpet on the floor. The room wasn't noisy.The breakfast is very good. All that you want was available.
