I booked a cabin room because it was cheap. It was the best cheap room I could find for the date and it came with breakfast. The location was so good and I was only staying one night so I didn't read reviews. I'm glad I didn't as I might have missed out. The reception was friendly and I was given clear directions to my room. I was expecting small (single cabin room which I presumed was fancy talk for seriously small). It was tiny! Not a lot bigger than a king sized bed in total area not including the teeny bathroom. The room somehow managed to comprise of a little lobby with access to the bathroom, a wardrobe, desk, stool, kettle etc, hairdryer. There was almost enough room to swing a cat as the layout made the most of a space most hotel chains would consider to be a small linen cupboard. I don't like waste and didn't need to swing cats, there was plenty of space for both me and my stuff with two large windows making it feel larger than it was. The bed was comfy and the room clean. No ripped linen. The bathroom was compact but I didn't plan on making it my second home, I just wanted to shower which I did successfully with plenty of hot water. I'm a small sized person. Someone of a larger build may have struggled in the room and particularly in the bathroom. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. I had high hopes from the selection of branded cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurt on display. They were all great. I was offered an English breakfast and asked what was available for vegetarians. The answer I got back was "egg, bacon, sausage, beans", not being all that confident that the bacon and sausage were vegetarian I asked for beans on toast. Some time later I got a bowl(?!) of Luke warm beans which were cold by the time the toast had arrived. I asked for the beans to be warmed up a little, when they came back they were incinerated! I dipped toast in the middle but where it wasn't too bad. I would book again based on my experience. At £125 in central London expectations shouldn't be too high. I felt this room was worth the price. (Cheaper is always nice though!)
As the title suggests this hotel serves the simple purpose of somewhere to sleep after a day's work/travel in London. After being surprised at the low price advertised on booking.com for a 4 star hotel (definitely not 4 stars) I booked a single room for 2 nights. To say it was a single room was an understatement, I am just 6ft and found the room difficult to manoeuvre around. The door would open on to what appeared to be not even a single bed in size, with a wardrobe suitable for fitting about 3 items of clothing. The bathroom wasn't much bigger with the sink positioned so close to the toilet making it... Well you know... Difficult. However I cannot say a bad word about the staff, check in was swift and informative without being too long winded and the room was cleaned and fresh bed sheets and towels left each day. In all, it is an ok hotel for work based trips or if you plan on spending the majority of your time out and about in London and need a cheap convenient place to stay overnight.
Horrible experience - this is the worst Hotel I have ever stayed in. Very worn - and overall just highly overpriced. Dirty and smelly rooms - needs serious cleaning. Bedsheets had stains and towels were not clean... DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL
The biggest disappointment ever - what a dump couldn't stay and managed to get out money back. Phew!!!!!! Avoid at all costs. Room was tiny double bed was even smaller and room was full of cobwebs. Opened the visitors book and guess what it said. Yip. "What a dump"
I left after an hour throwing £260 down the drain, but I could not stay here. I quickly found another place on booking.com (twenty Nevern Square) and was relieved to find a clean beautiful properly rated four star hotel. The Cavedinsh was dirty and depressing. From the carpets to the cushions on the bed. The staff were not prepared to clean the room, but said they'd Change the food covered cushions on the bed. Anyway, I was only in London two nights and wanted a pleasant stay in a clean, nice hotel. What a let down this hotel was. No refund at all, this hotel is not nice and definitely NOT FOUR STAR!!
