We stayed on a Thursday evening as we had a function in London, I tried contacting the hotel to find out if there was parking available, I was unable to get through on the phone and did not get a response from email, so we travelled by train, only to find underground parking available extremely close. We paid for an executive room, which included executive check-in, we were unable to find this so had to ask and where told 'oh, yes you can book in here if you want to'. The hotel is clear and tidy, with lots of sparkling lights and plenty of seating in the downstairs area. All staff were pleasant and friendly. Breakfast had an excellent choice, however the resturant was fully air condititioned so it was very cold. The rooms were clean and tidy, but even out executive room could have done with a little extra care, especially in the bathroom. The executive lounge was a nice extra, however it did not open until 6:30am and closed at 8:30pm. You need to have a special fob to gain entry to the lounge, but the staff did not welcome you or ask if you know how the lounge worked. This hotel is however reasonably priced for the area on London. We looked out onto Marble Arch.
I've started to use this hotel for my weekly business trips to London and am very satisfied. The rooms aren't massive but they are clean, reasonably modern and very well equipped.Check in is easy and although the hotel has hundreds of rooms you rarely have to wait long.Bar and public areas are spacious and the location is brilliant, just around the corner from all the shops and easy walk to Hyde Park and Oxford Street. Love the international room service menu which is nice change from the standard fayre and breakfast has a huge choice of options.Sometimes use their sister hotel at Tower Bridge which is equally good. Highly recommend.
Wonderful situated in Central London, just a view steps and you will be at Oxford Street. The Hotel was great, upon check in we had a small issue, however Mr Donokos Nolnar was wonderful and solved the problem and made us feel very welcome during our stay.
I spent recently two nights in the hotel and must say was did not expect much at first.Came with a friend for a weekend break and picked the hotel based on its location. The check in was not the smoothest experience but luckily we received help and quick solution at the Front Desk by Domokos Molnar who assisted us and thanks to him and his professionalism our weekend turned out being amazing. His efforts to resolve the issue are much appreciated. The staff was friendly, the breakfast service was good, housekeeping did a good job, In room Dining was efficient. Would definitely consider to visit again.
Before we went down to the Ocean room for an awards event we stopped off at the ground floor bar - that was very disappointing. We eventually got a waitress who did not speak good English or understand it. We ordered some cocktails - one of my colleagues did not get what she ordered and the gin cocktails we asked for were not available, yet another one almost identical was. Clearly this hotel hasn't heard that there are a large number of gins on the market - they only had 2 in their drinks menu and one of those was run of the mill.The service was poor and slow. It took us a long while to get the bill. The bill was shocking for what we had and the dreadful service.I am pleased to say the awards event and its catering (canapes) was much better.It is fair to say this hotel has not trained its staff in customer service at all based on our experience in the bar and at the awards event bar. You just don't stand in the way of the bar table with a trolley full of wine boxes and stop people getting to the drinks.Not impressed!
