- What's Included
Stayed one here with for a birthday treat for my husband our daughter also came too, booked a junior suite which was a large room there was a double sofa bed for my daughter which was extremely comfortable and a king size bed for my husband and I, the suite also had a large bathroom and also a second toilet with sink, the suite also included access the executive lounge, this was great in the evening for relaxing and included drinks and snacks. The hotel and our room was lovely and clean and staff very friendly. The hotel is in a great location just a stones throw from Marble Arch tube station and Hyde park. We ate breakfast in the Market Place which had plenty of choices of food, from cooked to continental and plenty of fresh fruit. I would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again
I was there on a business trip. I stayed for two nights. I didnt get a chance to try their restaurant or room service so can't comment on their food quality. The hotel is very clean. The rooms are fairly small with no frills but it's fairly quiet which is very important especially if you are downtown. The location is priceless. It's one step away from Oxford Street with all its famous shopping and it's a walking distance to two major tube stations.
Our stay at the Cumberland Hotel is going to be unforgettable thanks to the exceptional service it offers and the astonishing professionalism that the staff displays. We enjoyed an incredibly delicious breakfast constisting of a variety of choices for all the tastes. Our room with a view to Oxford street was neat and clean everyday and we feel the need to say that we were amazed by the kindness and willingness of the staff and especially by Miss Theano Karathanasopoulou, the reception supervisor, who was there for us by the moment we arrived at the hotel, made us feel at ease and she didn't miss a chance to satisfy our needs. It goes without saying that we are looking forward to staying again at the Cumberland Hotel during our next trip to London.
Stayed here on business, handy location next to Oxford Street. Room was ok with the usual facilities to hand.Restaurant a little dark to see the menus but food nice. The staff were attentive with special mention of Theamo on front desk, what a lovely helpful and polite ladyThank you for the welcome room gift as well..
Stayed in it for a night only to catch our plane out of London the next morning, checking in took for ever and I was accommodative at first but when I saw three other people check in in a blink although they had no reservation , I voiced my discontent as I had an inflamed knee and couldn't stand any longer , the gentleman answered us rudely and said that the girl was training, and we waited longer until another clerk tried to help and we were told system was jammed , 37 minutes later she handed us the keys literally shoving the key card in my face, we go to the room and it was on the 1st floor with scaffolding on the window, dirty small and outdated. My son at this stage was enraged with anger for the ill treatment and the horrible room we were given in spite of the fact that they asked us for the kind of room we prefer. So he goes down and finally he got an apology for their bad behaviour and we were given a room elsewhere. The process took an hour and a half, to check in. Stay away from this dump, it is not worth it at all
