This 8-storey world-class modern hotel boasts an excellent central location directly on Oxford Street, overlooking Marble Arch monument and Hyde Park. From this central location, many of London's attractions can be explored by foot including Madame Tussaud's Museum, Kensington Gardens, Buckingham Palace or Piccadilly Circus. In addition, the Marble Arch tube station is minutes away. Stepping stone to everywhere nice.

The room was cozy and the bed was super comfortable, staff were friendly and welcoming, always eager to help with the carrying of shopping bags or any other requests. The only thing was that the breakfast was not included - I am not complaining or anything, we were advised that the breakfast was not included - however considering the price we paid it would have been adequate to include breakfast. Over all, superb stay!

Poor service

Very poor service I arrived at the hotel with my two children I got a room away from the elevator Although I asked for a room close to the elevator The next day they exchanged a room for us shame entered the third bed room was not with bedding I had to call again I waited more than half an hour until they came to arrange the bed every day I am forced to call Asking for a large towel After cleaning the room you leave only two towels and not according to the number of people in the hotel room service needs improvement.

Good location only

Small rooms, old furniture, nothing special about the hotel, costruction work, you are paying for location only and all other things are average or below average. For someone looking for good location it will fine, but if you are looking a nice hotel he should look for five stars hotel.

Bad experience

I would like to give my opinion about my experience in your hotel Actually I reserve multiple times in your hotel and I think this would be the last because of Domi and Naoual banana they weren't respectful they prefer guests upon guest so on the 26th of July I checked out and tried with the reception to block interconnected rooms if there is any possibility and they tried there best to be honest then when I came back on the 3/8/2017 I came to the reception and they said there are no interconnected I accept it and ask for a future request (next day if there is possibility ) they said no more during our stay so I suggest to change the rooms with my uncle who already booked the same rooms as I did and he will check out on the 4/8/2017 they accepted the idea at 20:30 approximately Naoual banana she was their and she wasn't so clear at first I told her we want to swipe the rooms first she as she want my uncle rooms number then she said no all of them and the she said it ok to be done I will ask the manager the she said one of the rooms are blocked for the 6th of August and one if free for us the she said no one is free the other one tomorrow the guest will come and see if it is suitable ok and how about me I am also a guest and request to get interconnected 3 times the Domi came (the manager as he said but his name was removed) and I told him what happened then she changed what she said and he started to blame me that i am talking in aggressive way and if I don't calm they won't do anything for me although I am not And after that I went to thank him he run away !! Even though he is wrong he respect this way !!!!!I can name the people who were so helpful and respectful ( Kenleingl, noora, Paula, Julia , Aneta) also I would like to thank them.The thing is that neither me nor my uncle even my aunt whom they come before 2 weeks will come back to this hotel because every time there is an issue either the A.C or the beds that moves and uncomfortable or the internet or I can't receive the calls probably or the attitude of the people in the reception The elevator slipped from the 2nd the 1st while going up and I pressed the bell to be helped none of the workers came then thank Allah that it worked again The concierge don't have their own elevator they should wait for one or they take one and we should wait !!The first night I called to get an extra blanket but I didn't get it and then I called back the were talking aggressively to ask me to wait to be served !!!! And til the next day I didn't get it !! And they tells us that why you want do u want to sleep on the floor !!!!!! The next time I came back to the hotel and again I asked to get an extra blanket and again they said the same !! The food in the club lounge wasn't fresh and if I think to go to the buffet I should go back to change my dress after eating because the smell of my dress as if I am the one who cookedI can rate this hotel 2/10 only because of the location otherwise nothing good and waste of money to spend my holiday in

Fine Hotel

The Cumberland is conveniently located across the street from the Marble Arch and Hyde Park. A few years into the park and you are at The Speakers Corner. Around the corner from the entrance to the hotel on Oxford St. is the Marble Arch tube station and bus stops. Walk a few blocks east and you will find Selfridges, an amazing department store.Before we booked this trip, I read many reviews which complained about the wait time to check in. We did not encounter any unreasonable delay. We waited no more than 6-7 minutes for a clerk and our room was immediately ready. The staff is very professional and courteous. Rooms were cleaned daily by an unobtrusive staff.The rooms were typical European sized rooms. In the US we are generally used to large rooms, with sitting area and desks as well as queen beds. In Europe the rooms are smaller. Ours was rated as a double. It was clean and well appointed. There were no issues at all. There was a small closet, but no dresser. The room had a hair dryer and iron and ironing board. The bathroom was modern. There was plenty of hot water on demand. The rooms were quiet. We could not hear anything from adjoining rooms.Back to location. There are plenty of great restaurants in the area, lots of shopping, and parks to walk in. At the far west end of Hayden Park is Kensington, a must visit.I highly recommend The zcumberland.
