Comfortable, convenient and competent hotel.

The Grosvenor Hotel is a wonderful hotel. It has a certain, old world, plush feel to it, yet is not stuffy. The combination is just right. The staff was very accommodating and the location cannot be beat.

Consistently high standards

I stay at the Grosvenor on every business trip to the UK and am always impressed by the consistently high standard of service at the hotel. The rooms are well apportioned and comfortable and the facilities are excellent. The staff are always very helpful, from the front desk to the concierge. Special thanks to Meliha who was particularly helpful on my most recent stay.

Well located business hotel

We had two separate meetings on the same day in the Grosvenor hotel which is immediately next to Victoria railway station - excellently located, in fact you can walk from the hotel directly into the station. Both meeting rooms were adjacent and were very nice - spacious with lots of natural daylight. Our meetings were well serviced - tea, coffee and biscuits arrived on time and lunch was good - a range of salads, sandwiches and wraps along with a selection of cakes and some fruit. I was staying overnight - my room was clean with a comfortable bed and a recently refurbished bathroom, which although small was perfectly formed! Breakfast, for a large hotel, was above average. Check in and check out was very efficient. We are booking this hotel again for our meetings this month.

First but NOT my last visit to London.

This is a beautiful grand hotel, old world style. The room was small but very comfortable and quiet. The staff was friendly and anxious to answer any questions and help with any planning. Wonderful breakfast buffet--always fresh and hot. I was in London for 3 nights before touring the UK. The location of the hotel is perfect ! Walking distance to so many attractions. The first day, I left the hotel intending to take a "short" walk. I returned 7 hours later after finding just one more "sight" to investigate. I will be returning to The Grosvenor !

Disappointed

We dealt with rude room service staff over the phone when ordering. His tone was curt and condescending. He only seemed to understand the implications of his actions once we threatened to leave him a bad review. Moreover, they refused to heat up food from a restaurant in their hotel (even after we offered to sign a waiver exempting them from liability). Finally, they refused to give us the breakdown of our account AFTER we paid, supposedly because it's policy to wait until the bags are down before they give us the breakdown (we were still finishing up our packing). They had no qualms with taking our money early, though. We requested a comment card, but apparently they'll be sending us a survey through our email instead. It remains to be seen if they'll remember to send it to us. Service and policy hardly worthy of a four-star rating. Clean rooms, good location. One for each star.
