I stayed for one night at this hotel because I happened to find a very good deal on a website at £215 B and B for an executive room. I am sure the regular price is far higher. That's why I say I was lucky, though that does not detract from the quality of the product. I am usually suspicious of designations like executive room but this really was very fine. Large bed,, sitting area, sofa, desk. A particular touch of luxury was the use of the executive lounge. I would normally forgo that but I found that I could get a continental breakfast there in very civilised surroundings, quiet and uncrowded rather than the usual fracas in business hotels with every travelling salesman in town filling his plate with sausages at the company's expense. There's always a but, and here it is. The bathroom was extremely small. I doubt there is a cat small enough to swing in it. Maybe a munchkin (I just looked that up). Even then, it's not only the size of the cat but the length of your arm for a decent swing. The bathroom was not only very very small but also full of sharp corners so you really do have to take very great care when turning round, stepping in and out of the shower etc not to brain yourself. That's some free advice for you. On the other hand if you are interested in small bathrooms (maybe you are a small bathroom designer) this si the place you want to be.
We travel from Ireland my husband booked the hotel for us as a birthday surprise .... the hotel suppose to be classy comfortable and friendly....Now I have to say I like my comfort and I don't mind to pay for it but this hotel was well overrateed and too pricey for nothing really the room we stayed wasn't clean the beds were looked like they were just made few minutes before we check in not comfy at all pillows were smelly ...There was little fridge in the room with just 2 bottles of water and wait for it we couldn't even open it milk for tea was old, and just 2 bags of tea in old drawers...We were happy myself and my 8 year old daughter to visit London and go for show but after traveling for so many hours you just need a bit of a comfort a nice cup of tea a shower and strache on clean bed after the show we ask for something to eat and small drink we have been refused ....I think for that price they could do more for a customer they could be more welcome....I think beacouse we just stay for one night they didn't care but still customer is a customer doesn't matter how many nights you booking in for should be treated as a special guest I was looking forward to spend some bonding time with my girl the only bonus was a Wicked show our stay in the hotel was poor I will not recommended it .....Kind regards
Very nice Hotel. The staff and amenities are top notch. The Hotel Sits on top of Victoria Station which gives easy access to Trains, buses, and the Underground(Subway). The restaurant served an excellent buffet in the morning as well as a traditional British Afternoon tea.
The hotel is conveniently located by Victoria station - servicing both the National Rail and the Underground. There is also a bus stop right in front of the hotel, as well as a stop for "Hop-On, Hop-Off Tour" buses. Transportation is a breeze from this hotel. As for the hotel itself - the staff is pleasant and helpful, and the rooms are clean and well maintained. Bed is very comfortable and the room is spacious enough. There is a restaurant as well as a cocktail lounge on the premises. The room service food is very tasty and well presented. A short distance (1 minute walk) from the hotel there are several food options: The Victoria, Pret A Manger, The Shakespeare among others. The stay at this hotel is pleasant and enjoyable. Few words of advice: - Don't count on TV entertainment in this hotel. They have only about 5-6 working channels - no cable or movie channels - just news and British game channel of sorts. - Internet is an Open network with no security - so connect at your own risk. - If you have an airport transfer/car service or cab - you have to be quick getting picked up or dropped off, as the hotel doesn't have a private road or pull in area. You will be picked up and dropped off in front of the hotel at a bus lane. So if a bus is coming you better hurry up. Overall, this is a very nice hotel with good, clean accommodations and friendly staff. Definitively recommended.
Just back from a wonderful stay at The Grosvenor. Super location beside Victoria station and walking distance to lots of attractions. Staff were lovely and very hard working. Would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again next time in London. We travelled from Gatwick so it could not be handier.
