Well this was a great find ,we were going to see wicked at the Apollo theatre just around the corner and thought we would pop in for a quick drink as a treat for mum's birthday ,it was fabulous and not as expensive as I would have thought,we had an amazing margarita in the bar that made me walk sideways when I stood up ,the staff and service was so friendly and not stuffy ,I would definitely pop in again as it made our day special ,a really lovely hotel xx
When we first arrived we had a problem with the first room, it was not what was originally booked and it was not well kept. They switched us to a different room, better than the first, but again not well kept. The staff were quick to act on these issue's. Once resolved, for all the problems that had occurred, the concierge approached us, offered her apologies and for the rest of our stay, eight nights, we were given breakfast every morning and turn down service every night. As well, housekeeping came by with a bottle of prosecco and a tray of goodies, again with apologies. We were not expecting service like that, only that the issue's be resolved. The staff, housekeeping, concierge, front desk and restaurant workers went above and beyond to apologize and make our stay amazing. The hotel is in an amazing location, beautiful common areas and the tea room is absolutely beautiful. I do recommend this and next time I'm in London will stay here myself.
Lovely Hotel and staff are very helpful, friendly and polite.Comfortable beds with excellent amenities.Breakfast was buffet style so you just help yourself can be a little crowded and dining room quite small.Only negative really is the price of drinks at the bar and rooms are slightly higher in price, but as its London it's to be expected.Overall great couple of days stay will definitely go back.
A warm welcome and a friendly, helpful staff greeted me upon my arrival at The Grosvenor Hotel. The room was comfortable, clean, and nicely furnished with all the modern conveniences while the hotel itself was lovely with the grandeur of days gone by. The food and service was very good. The location of The Grosvenor can't be beat; it is in the middle of everything. I could walk to most of London's attractions, or make use of the buses which stop in front of the Hotel, or use the transportation provided in Victoria Station which is connected to The Grosvenor.
I had afternoon tea here as a belated birthday present. The Grosvenor is a beautiful building with grandiose decor and from the outside looks quite small but is very spacious. My friend and I arrived late but the waitress was accommodating. We were given an option where to sit and served a glass of champagne straight away followed swiftly by afternoon tea, a pot of tea each and sweet and savoury treats including a choice of small jars of conserves for the scones. The whole experience was nice the only slight disappointment was that the waitress only came up to us when we had finished to check if we required anything else.
