Overnight stay

Stayed here for a trip to the Royal Albert Hall. Last minute decision to stay over. Not a bad hotel and staff were friendly enough. All in all the room was quite nice. The location was very central to our requirements

Bizarre rules

I booked through Arrived to find a queue of people who had been out for the day waiting for someone to man reception so they could be issued their room key. Thought this was a hotel so why are they treating guests like school children? Went to check in, gave my reference number only to be asked for an ID card. I'm a British subject and as such we don't have to carry ID so I haven't got any. Well I need some. Gave my bank card so payment could be taken only to be told payment has already been taken but I will take a photocopy of your bank card as ID. I'm furious and will be cancelling my bank card tomorrow so it can't be used for anything or by anyone. I'd avoid this place and you can guarantee I won't be back. Shame as I spend about £12k a year on London hotels. Their loss is someone else's gain.

Overnight stay

Good location, we were at front of hotel and did not notice any traffic noise. 5-10 minute walk to underground station and 5 minute walk to some restaurants and a couple of pubs. Hotel was fine, room was adequate for short stay, all clean, comfy bed, small bathroom but did the job. Usual continental breakfast, just didn't like the coffee very strong !

Hotel in Great Location. Near Gloucester Road Tube. Easy to Find. Nice Room on 4 TH Floor. Only Problems. Flush on Toilet Failed on Afternoon of Stay. Could Not Work TV. Breakfast was Good. Plenty of Room. Many Guests. Staff on Reception Friendly & Helpful. Liked the Idea of Handing in Keys. You are Not Worried on Losing them. While out. Was in London. For Attending Slovak Embassy. Garden Party. Hot Day.

Excellent hotel and wonderful staff

The hotel was in a great location and encourages you to go on a walking sightseeing tour of London. The tube station was very close to the hotel. The staff were very helpful and always walked an extra mile to help us in all the questions we had considering this was our first trip to London. We followed their recommendation in the sightseeing tour and it turned out to be awesome & this would not have been possible otherwise. We could not have asked for more...The room was very clean and so is the toilet. The 24 hour reception came very handy considering we had been to the hotel very late at night(s). The continental breakfast was great and since the hotel is in the center of London there are so many restaurants and shopping centers around. I would definitely stay in this hotel during my next visit and recommend this to all my friends. We stayed there for 3 nights.
