Disastrous hotel

We arrived at the hotel and checked in and was shown to our room (507). The room was extremely small, very warm and had paint missing in places. However the room was clean and tidy. We decided that we could not stay there and asked to be moved. We were told we couldn’t move till the following day. We checked out and visited the following day to speak to the manager, he kindly refunded our second nights cost but since then we have requested the first nights refund and we cannot have one. I would hope that the other rooms were better than ours but we just could not stay in a room like that.

Poor customer service. Poor room management

Firstly, the man on the front desk was rude and abrupt, felt like we were distracting him from his cigarettes outside. We had a lot of bags and luggage and he made no effort to assist us.The window in our room as well as being only a single pane of glass, would open the full way (It was a slide upwards window) and a child, even an adult could have fallen through that. I feel that there should have been a safety limit on the window considering we were on one of the upper floors and I highly doubt that it meets health and safety requirements.The rooms hadn't been cleaned properly - thick dust around the bottom of the skirting boards looked like they hadn't been hoovered, ever. I wish I'd taken photos!However, it is in a convenient location from Gloucester Road Station and only a 20 minute walk into Chelsea, as well as it being in a nice area.

Terrible be careful with bedbugs.. sofa bed

Terrible receptionist and owner. We booked a double and when we got there we were in a triple room.1 only chair in the roomBroken showwr door replace with a argos shower curtainCeiling licking waterNo net curtain on ground floor room and you can not open window to see the streetShocking noisy bedSofa bed in terrible conditionAnd dirty floor Unfortunately I would not recommend it to no-one.

A trip to the theatre

We stayed at the Avni last night In Kensington. What can I can? It was perfect , the room was a lovely twin room with 2 double beds with lovely bedding, a modern bathroom with plenty of towels, not like most hotels where you only get one hand and one bath towel person... we had a stack of lovely crisp white towels . The room was spotless, warm and inviting. The staff were amazing , after loosing my theatre tickets the girl on the desk helped me access my email to print them again, she didn't bat an eyelid when we asked for more pillows, they arrived within 10 minutes of asking. Nothing was too much for them .I slept like a baby as the bed, bedding and pillows were great quality. We went to breakfast and it was a standard continental breakfast, ham, cheese, toast etc. The boiled eggs looked inviting however were a nightmare to peel, and I would have like to see a pastry or two but it wasn't a deal breaker. There were fresh juices and hot coffee. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to Gloucester Road tube, which is on the circle line and can get you to all major places.... Notting hill, Knightsbridge, embankment etc . There are amazing restaurants, bars, shops a stones throw from the hotel.... I will stay there again , it's perfect!.

Stopped here for one night. Just wanted somewhere to crash on a night. Does what it says on the tin. Simple room with a tv and a fairly decent shower. Polite staff and luggage storage room. I do feel the location is a little out of the way for where we wanted to visit, however that’s my fault for not doing my research and never visited before.
