Had to go to London on business and this was the "recommended" hotel to use. I was looking forward to it as I'd seen it had 4 stars.I arrived early to drop my bags and then head to my meeting and the front desk staff were really helpful and friendly. Great first impression.Unfortunately, when I returned later to check in and subsequently headed to my room I was a little deflated (reception were still really great). The room was grey and dingy and felt tired. The window was internal facing and the grey cladding opposite filled the room with a flat light. I sat on the double bed and I rolled 6 inches... a pet hate of mine. Why can the wheels not be locked on the bed? Every time I got up and returned, I had to move the bed back. The to had all the usual freeview channels but was not formatted correctly so the widescreen broadcast was only sent to the room on 4:3, hence missing the edges, clock on Sky news, etc... trust me I tried all the screen formats.I had to do some work so rang room service at about 8pm. No answer. Tried again at 8:15. Nothing. Ended up getting through at about 9pm. Then a 45 minute wait (obviously had expected that). I ordered a pepperoni pizza as I thought it would come from the Brasserie43 restaurant on site... nice. No, it was a supermarket stuffed crust takeaway style frozen pizza. I know this as I buy them from Asda for a few pounds. It wasn't cooked well, had a soggy middle and overcooked edges... for £13/14.Bathroom was functional, although very cramped and the sink was unnaturally high (I'm average height and the basin was at the bottom of my ribcage).Breakfast was really good and cooked well.Overall the highlights were the staff and the breakfast.Premier Inn has better bedrooms.
I stayed for one night and found the hotel to be good. It was not too expensive for London and easily reached by foot from Kings Cross station. The room was small but to be expected . The breakfast was fair and started really early which suited me, Staff were nice and pleasant . I would stay again if in London on Business.
Stayed here for work, great location - 2 min walk from Euston station and underground. Very clean hotel and professional friendly staff. Breakfast was very good (help yourself) and communal areas (bars etc) decent. would recommend if wanting to staty in that area.
I stayed here as I had a business meeting the next day. It is in a convenient location in that it is a few minutes walk from Euston station, but then for that same reason might not be great if you're looking for atmosphere within walking distance. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are OK. The room was a reasonable size but had no minibar/fridge but did have tea and coffee making facilities. On the surface everything looked clean but everything just felt a little grubby. There was considerable dust on the windowsill, the bath tiles looked like they needed a bucket of bleach on them and the carpet was in need of a shampoo. The towels looked clean but had the strangest odour and did not feel clean. The bed was not particularly comfortable either.Breakfast was good. Attentive staff, a nice selection and well cooked. Overall, this hotel is fine but I wouldn't choose to return for a special weekend or anything other than a business meeting.
I arrived early at the Hotel to drop my case, but was told they had a room available so checked in. The welcome was very efficient and friendly. When I entered the room it was small but ok but when entering the bathroom the toilet was very stained with brown limescale the paint was peeling off the door and frame and in general not very pleasant. After a long day at the office I returned to the Hotel and decided to eat in the bar, service was slow as only one member of staff behind the bar who was working very hard but just could not keep up with the demand. I ordered food which arrived fairly quickly, however it was like eating in a cafe as all sauces were in sachets and cutlery was far from clean.Breakfast was basic but ok and staff friendly.Location is fine but a very basic Hotel which would certainly struggle if it were not in London.
