First of all, i agree with the others saying that the photographs on the internet are misleading and not representative of the actual rooms in this hotel. The room was dirty and disgusting. The carpet on the floor contained all sorts of disgusting things, the same goes for the large bed. In order to move around the room i had to wear shoes and in order to sleep in the bed i covered the pillows and wear long sleeves. The bathroom was in the same condition with a lot of rust here and there. The breakfast room was like a dark poker-room basement. The majority of the breakfast choices could not be eaten. I served in the army for two years and i can say with certainty that the food there is better. I book several hotels in different countries every year for my travels and i can say that I've never faced a situation like this in any hotel before.
Two blocks from the Euston underground station. Great location for getting to the underground. Walking distance from the British Museum. Euston underground one stop from Kings Cross underground and train stations. Fast underground trip to the theater district. Walking distance from several good restaurants. The hotel restaurant was ok for breakfast but dinner selection was small and relatively tasteless.
The hotel is close to the Euston train station and its design classic and about 2 miles from the famous oxford street .The room size small and it look simple and traditional .Breakfast was acceptable and has verity with good quality .
I booked 15 rooms at this hotel, as my company is undertaking a project nearby, over several weekends. We used three rooms this weekend - one was on the Ground Floor, and was very pleasant. The other two were small and shabby. The photographs on the internet and initial impression gained from Reception, are not representative of the majority of the rooms in this hotel. My main reason for cancelling is the attitude of the hotel manager on Friday night. One of my colleagues called to say that she could not get access to the room that was booked in her father's name - although it was her card that paid for it, which she was able to show. I was able to provide her with all of the references and booking details, and heard the conversation with the manager, who seemed to be awkward for the sake of it. I cannot have people who are working long days, subject to this sort of attitude when they check in to a pre-paid hotel.I have cancelled all further bookings.
First impressions were not good as I had to queue for approx 10 minutes to check in.The room was very tired... badly scuffed paint, bulbs that didn't work... cracked tiles on the bathroom floor that kept catching my foot... door handle falling off... TV without even freeview channels or any sort of TV guide... plumbing that sounded like a pneumatic drill inches from my bed (not good at 4am!)... BUT the room did have over a dozen power sockets! The breakfast was fantastic. Great choice of hot and cold food and the staff were very attentive. The condition of the room became understandable (though not excusable) when I found out the next day that the hotel, and in fact the whole street, is due to be flattened to make way for the HS2 extension to Euston station next door... literally, the hotel will be under half a dozen new platforms! The location of the hotel is excellent... lots of very nearby links. As for the negatives, these won't be a problem for travellers in another few weeks time when it closes! Hopefully, the staff find positions elsewhere.
