I'll start with the positive side: very well located. Just in front of Kensingston Gardens, a short walk away from three different metro stations, a few steps from bus stations for both public transportation and the hop-on-hop-off buses. The 94 and 148 buses will take you to most of the attractions in a short ride. It's also quite easy to catch a taxi from there. We rented two rooms for eight nights. One for my wife, our 1 and a half year old son and me; the second one for my parents in law. We found the hotel to be not so comfortable. The elevators are very narrow and it was hard to fit the baby's stroller in them. Our room felt small and crowded with a double bed plus a cridle. They do supply a cridle. But there's no fridge or minibar to store the milk in the room. I've travelled quite a bit, and I've come to expect a small fridge in the room as a standard for three star hotels and up. There was also no bathtub, only a shower, which made it harder to bath our son. The building seems to have serious electrical issues. Our room's AC wasn't working when we arrived and we were given a fan instead in the meantime. The first night the room's air was stuffy, the fact that the windows don't open didn't help. The AC got fixed and it was fine the next day. Meanwhile, my parents in law had to change rooms twice. The first room didn't have a working AC, in the second one the electricity when off when they plugged the hair-drier, the third one was fine. They were told they were getting an upgrade, but they just got a room the same size with a bigger bed in it.I believe we could have gotten a better hotel for less money, I expected more for what we paid. Overall it's not a bad place, the staff was polite and helpful, the breakfast was good, everything was clean and tidy. It might be worth staying there for two or three nights, but I wouldn't recommend it for a longer stay.
When we go to London we always stay in this hotel , friendly staff and position , near to every where , breakfast is fantastic . They just replaced all mattresses, rooms are clean and receptionist are great .
I had previously stayed here and written a nice review, so i thought... "what could go wrong staying here again since I liked it the last time?"... well, pretty much everything. First, the springs in my mattress were broken or something that it was extremely uncomfortable. I did not get a single night of good sleep. yes, i prob should've asked to change rooms thinking back, but i don't know how the hotel didn't replace the mattress when you can feel the springs by simply pressing your palm against the mattress. Second, I had complimentary breakfast with my reservation, but somehow there was a glitch in their system that they didn't have my name on the list and the host was rude and acted like I was trying to get a free breakfast. he even went as far as going to the reservations desk or somewhere else to check I actually have complimentary breakfast with my reservation. Really? i love a good breakfast but this is the last place i would try to get a free breakfast from. Third, when i was checking out in the early morning, the front desk person was nowhere to be seen. I shouted hello and walked around the lobby and there was NO ONE. I had a flight to catch so i ended up calling the hotel to see if someone would pick up, and guess what? some guy emerged half asleep from the back and looked like i had disturbed his peaceful nap. What kind of service was this? I am appalled i paid for this stay. If you are looking to stay at this hotel. PLEASE LOOK FOR ANOTHER HOTEL.
Amazing Service from this young lady (Esmeralda Miralle), she assisted us with everything from the most tourist attractions to places to eat at as well as assisting us with how to use the tube and booking us tickets to locations for us to go to. Being a tourist in a foreign country it was an absolute pleasure and definitely will come back to this exquisite location!!! Above all this, the breakfast was delicious and the stay was very comfortable 👍🏻
Currently staying at this great hotel, wonderful rooms, spacious bathroom and exceptional staff. Alex the waiter is always a great help, very hardworking. The receptionist Esmaralda was welcoming from the first moment, the resturant manager is always friendly and most polite. Such a comfortable and relaxing space in the heart of busy london.
