This hotel was converted from an apartment block so the rooms are very large and bright with nice decor. Family rooms also available accommodating up to 4 people.
Overview
Overlooking Oxford Street, the hotel occupies an unrivaled location for exploring London and all its attractions. Not far from the busy streets of Covent Garden and the theatrical excitement of Shaftesbury Avenue, this spacious art deco hotel offers a bar, restaurant, coffee shop and 24- hour room service. The air-conditioned rooms are large and equipped with satellite TV, mini-fridge, coffee/tea tray, high speed Internet access (fee) and in-room safe. This hotel is a superb addition to our selection of London hotels.

A nice hotel , friendly staff

Used to stay in this hotel since it was Mont royal then Thistle then Amba , the same spirit but poor entrance decorations when recently changed to Amba , as for the rooms they are better decorated , bathrooms are clean . The staff was extremely helpful , Claudia served us as usual with the same smile and welcoming. The checkin was smooth and the room was the one we asked for.

Absolute scam/ timo absoluto

We booked a family room for 3 adults travelling together at almost 350 euros per night. I called the hotel to make sure that we were going to find three proper beds and they said that of course. But when we got here we find that the only options are either a sofa bed for one of the adults or a filthy rolling bed only valid for a small child. When I complained their only answer is take it or leave it.I had already been here twice and it used to be a nice hotel when it belinged to the Thistle Company, but now it’s far more expensive and worse. Terrible option if you are travelling with the family.

Very welcoming reception staff

We arrived at the hotel after a long flight, this was our first stay in the hotel with the new chain management ( Amba hotels ) to our surprise we met the good staff that we know from before ,Claudia at the front office, she made our check in a pleasant one and offered us a very nice family room . The hotel is very clean , well maintained and customer friendly.

Very good stay in London!

We had a very pleasant stay at the Amba Marble Arch. We were very delighted when we entered the room, it was very spacious!. The staff of the hotel was very polite and friendly, with special thanks to Aron for his kind refreshement. Excellent breakfast with a lot of choices. And what a view we had from our room! Oxford Street with all those beautiful Christmas lightnings!

Good experience but hard time during breakfast

I have had good experience with the front - house team and the house keeping . They are very supportive , go the extra mile to get things done . One thing that I do not like about Amba is that the restaurant is always overwhelmed by lots of people during breakfast and if you leave your table to grab something , you will find someone sitting on your chair . It is quite bizarre . Even then , the waiters put their effort to make every body happy except the fact that one Sunday morning , that is , the 19th of November , the man who was making Omlet refused to do so for some of the guests , saying it is already 11 AM . We had to speak to the Head waiter and he then talked to the Chef to make it for us . It was outrageous and embarrassing for the hotel . Other than that , I highly recommend the hotel for visitors .
