This hotel was converted from an apartment block so the rooms are very large and bright with nice decor. Family rooms also available accommodating up to 4 people.
Overlooking Oxford Street, the hotel occupies an unrivaled location for exploring London and all its attractions. Not far from the busy streets of Covent Garden and the theatrical excitement of Shaftesbury Avenue, this spacious art deco hotel offers a bar, restaurant, coffee shop and 24- hour room service. The air-conditioned rooms are large and equipped with satellite TV, mini-fridge, coffee/tea tray, high speed Internet access (fee) and in-room safe. This hotel is a superb addition to our selection of London hotels.

It’s ok. Nice room

We stayed here between Christmas and New Years. We usually always stay in the jimmy Hendrix suite at The Cumberland but it’s seriously gone downhill over the last few years so we thought we would give one of their neighbouring hotels a try. It wasn’t the best start. We got to the hotel around 3 only to find our apartment wasn’t ready. After a 3 hour drive and with 2 restless kids in tow it was the last thing we wanted to hear. What didn’t help was the lackadaisical attitude of the guy checking us in. He found it quite amusing that the room wasn’t ready. He apologised with a massive grin on his face. I really could have slapped that grin off his face at that point. I trust the management will get in touch with me and will look in to this and provide this cretin some hospitality training. He asked us to wait for over an hour in their very cramped executive lounge. We sat for about 10minutes. It was too cramped, we decided to go to a local coffee shop. When we finally got to the apartment it was large and spacious. It’s a shame we didn’t get to enjoy the view due to the condensation on the window. I even had to clean it as it was filthy with mould. The room was clean and tidy. Well equipped. Bath shower was nice and powerful. Clean too. Kitchenette with microwave and large fridge is always useful. Nice complimentary mini bar. The sofa bed has seen better days. Mattress would be uncomfortable for an adult. It was ok for our little one. The room has good storage. Large tv in the bedroom and living area. We ordered breakfast to our room and the second morning the room service said we were lying about our breakfast not being complete. We were missing coffee and they sent toast enough form 1 person and he had the audacity to tell us that’s all we are getting. After some arguing we were sent more cold toast and some coffee. Room service desert was very nice. One of the nights we waited over 40 minutes and 3 phone calls before we got extra pillows. For some reason housekeeping decided to only leave 2 pillows in the entire 4 person apartment. It’s slightly inconvenient having to use the lift to get to the reception floor with a pushchair, what’s more frustrating is that area is soooo crowded either with concierge or just lazy people who don’t want to take the escalator. The hotel is vibrant. Lots of people in the lobby. Plenty of areas to chill out with lots of seating. Friendly atmosphere. They have a deli and a bar. Checkout was fine. No issues. Polite. Would do I return? I’m not sure. Maybe as the room was nice. It’s a shame about the check in and the breakfast issue. It worked out to over £500 per night. It definitely wasn’t worth that.

+The hotel is very nice, clean, comfortable, cozy and on Oxford St.+ They helped in storing pumped milk in their freezer which was very nice of them.+ Complimentary snacks and soft drink with daily refill was nice- it was crowded, however it's on Oxford St after all.h

Excellent Restaurant

We visited their restaurant on a Groupon deal - Steak, Chips, and Bottle of wine for 2 for £36. The food was excellent as well as the service. We also had the Chocolate indulgence for 2 (photo attached) which was lovely. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Fabulous service

I have now been staying at the Amba Marble Arch for a number of years and I can honestly say it gets better and better. What really makes the biggest difference is the delightful, caring service that everyone who works there seem to take great pleasure in providing.From the friendly check in (big call out to Claudia), the always Concierge team and my key contact Luiza, they always make the stay enjoyable.The food is very good, the rooms comfortable and spacious and little added touches like included mini-bar make it special.If I had one ask then it would be for a bigger gym but the current one is perfectly adequate.I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Amba.

Lovely hotel and very helpful staff

I visited this hotel a few month ago and have to say I really loved it. Rooms are spacious and clean, mini bar is complimentary and on the top of that you have Nespresso machine. I would like to mention Natalia at reception (professional, friendly and very helpful).I will be coming back for sure, so not a goodbye but see you soon Amba 👌🏻
