Castle Inn and Suites
- What's Included
The rooms are quite basic and dated, but the price reflects this. The Castle Inn and Suites is a mid-evil themed motel style hotel located just across from the main gate to Disneyland. A budget hotel which is reflect in its price, decor, service and facilities. For a few bucks more you can probably find a nicer hotel.
Really great hotel! Just a five minute walk from Disney Theme Parks and Downtown Disney, there are nearby food and store locations, and it's a just a great place to relax and vacation. Your privacy is very much respected, and you are treated not as a customer but as a guest. Overall, I highly recommend Castle Inn and Suites. Enjoy!
We booked this hotel on WestJet Vacations. The check in was quick. Our family of 5 were booked on the first floor which was really convenient. They have a small store on site by the lobby that has a little bit of everything. This hotel is really close to Disneyland resort entrance and has other restaurants and stores within walking distance. It's easy to get off and on the interstate. The quality of the rooms can use some improvements such as the carpeting and blankets. We really liked how they put effort into folding the towels. The pool is small and you have to bring your own towel from the room, we had fun and it did the trick when it's super hot and need a break from the parks. There is a small wading pool and hot tub too. The parking lot was always almost full but we always got a stall at the end of the day.
I picked this hotel as it was one of the few that had family rooms (2 bedrooms) it also had a fridge and microwave. We could see the fireworks at Disneyland from our 4th floor room. Very clean and neat hotel, staff were great. Very close to Disneyland and restaurants. We walked everywhere, with our baby in a stroller. This is a budget hotel, but would gladly stay here again. Nice little pool area, not flashy but kids had a great time, has a toddler pool. Very Comfy beds.
We stayed here 3 nights in July covering 4th July. It is within walking distance of Disneyland and has shops very close for food & eating. They sell discounted tickets to Disneyland which are significantly cheaper than buying at the gate. We had a family room. It was very spacious and appropriately set up.Curiously the room used by our daughter had more room & facilities than the main room. Lots of parking. Laundry is well priced. We will definitely stay here again when we next visit Disneyland.
Room 252 (parlor suite)Stayed 5 nights, 4 daysFamily of 4 (kids ages: 15 years old, 18 years old)Pros: -Affordable. Paid $1229 with military discount-Only 2 blocks from Disneyland-Housekeeping cleaned our rooms daily while we were out at the parks-Free parkingCons:-Room had a very strong smell of urine. I checked in close to midnight after a long day of travelling so decided to stay the night in the room hoping the smell would decrease by morning with the AC turned on. I woke up at 6am because the smell was so strong. I called the front desk at 7am. They sent someone up and fixed it to my surprise otherwise, we would've changed rooms cause it was so bad and gave me a headache. This first impression already turned me off to the hotel and caused me to check for availabilities in other hotels immediately, but everything was booked.-No feel of that disney magic ( but that's a given for neighbor hotels)-Beds are hard!-Rooms need to be updated. It felt old with a musty smell.-Limited channels on TV-Small swimming pool-Next time I'm willing to pay extra money to stay at one of the disney hotels.
