Castle Inn and Suites
- What's Included
The rooms are quite basic and dated, but the price reflects this. The Castle Inn and Suites is a mid-evil themed motel style hotel located just across from the main gate to Disneyland. A budget hotel which is reflect in its price, decor, service and facilities. For a few bucks more you can probably find a nicer hotel.
I called the Front desk inquiring on a lost item a very soft, well spoken voice and friendly voice came on the line. Her name is Briana. Briana was very helpful on trying to locate my item which may I say is gone forever into space. Even thought my Item was not there Briana continue to check all area for my item. Thank... This was a fun hotel to say in I would love to come again for pleasure instead of business but any whom. Thank OH I almost for got about the housekeeping supervisor: "darn forgot her name" thank.
This hotel is just a 10-minute walk from Downtown Disney, Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, which is great after a long day of visiting the theme parks. There are plenty of dining options in the vicinity of the hotel, from IHOP and Subway to The Cheesecake Factory, and the CVS Pharmacy across the road is perfect for stocking up on snacks, drinks and breakfast cereals. There is even a handy convenience store located at the hotel, and the things there are quite reasonably priced. We enjoyed staying in a 'castle' – complete with throne and armour in the foyer – and the room was tastefully decorated to reflect the theme, with chunky dark-wood furniture and castle pictures on the walls. It was a little odd to have the sink in the main room, rather than in the bathroom, but we got used to it after a while! The only downside was that the concrete corridors outside the rooms echoed rather loudly whenever anyone rolled their suitcase along them, but thankfully there weren't many early-morning or late-night arrivals. We appreciated enormously that the hotel let us check into our room early, as we arrived at 9am after a red-eye flight from Sydney and were extremely tired!
Stayed for 10 awesome days with my wife and kids (17 and 13).Liked:- 5k runs around Disneyland block from the hotel;- absolutely no fees for packages (ordered quite a few from Amazon);- free parking;- free good wifi;- helpfull staff.Disliked:- cleaning left sink area floor quite dirty for several days;- elevator close to room was broke for almost two days.
Suite with 2 bedrooms - one with king bed and one with 2 queens - was perfect for our family. Only one bathroom, but the room with 2 queens had a sink. Very clean, staff extremely helpful, free parking, only a short walk to the park. Could use a little updating, but was well cared for. With a young one, we came back to the room in the middle of a long day at Disney. They had a little onsite convenience store perfect for snacks and incidentals, as well as beverages.
We arrived super early after our international flight, and were thrilled to find that we were able to get straight into our room - a huge bonus after being on the go for so long. We booked the 2 Queen executive mini suite, which was a great choice. There was plenty of room to spread out. The beds were really comfortable, and it was a relatively large bathroom. We found it terrific to have the 2 bathroom vanity basins - 1 inside the bathroom and 1 outside the bathroom, it really helped with getting ready each day. While there is no breakfast included, there are plenty of places nearby, or Disneyland itself. The room had a fridge, so it was also easy to buy cereal, milk, juice, yogurt etc and make our own. We had a room that fronted the main road (Sth Harbour Blvde), but the room was very quiet, with no street noise. It was a very quick walk to Disneyland (10 minutes at most), which also made it easy to pop back during the day and have some downtime, before returning for the night time shows. We found all of the staff to be very pleasant and accommodating, housekeeping did a wonderful job keeping our room clean. Also the convenience of a guest laundry.
