Castle Inn and Suites
- What's Included
The rooms are quite basic and dated, but the price reflects this. The Castle Inn and Suites is a mid-evil themed motel style hotel located just across from the main gate to Disneyland. A budget hotel which is reflect in its price, decor, service and facilities. For a few bucks more you can probably find a nicer hotel.
I’ve stayed at a couple hotels around disneyland, and this has definitely been the worst. Like most reviews have said, the water temperature tends to flucuate alot so one second you’re scalding, and the next you’re freezing. On our third night, I found bed bugs, and the receptionist didn’t offer to move us right away, but asked oh well do you want a new room? We moved rooms, but were leary of bugs for the rest of the time. We never heard an apology about the bugs for the remaining 4 days of our stay. Only good thing is the location.
A family of 6 we booked two interconnecting standard rooms. Both rooms had to Queen size beds. Rooms were a good size. Room facilities were good. Beds are comfortable. Having the rooms as interconnecting maybe huge difference for us and is a definite if you were travelling with family. There is a swimming pool and hot tub on premises - small but adequate for a swim after a hot day at Disneyland. Checking and check out was easy and staff very helpful. There is a small convenient store on site and you are able to buy most things that you would need. Starbucks is only about 200 m walk. Rooms also have a microwave. Kids love the castle and the same theme is continued into the rooms. My only criticism is that the lighting is a bit dim in the rooms but I make that criticism of most hotels that I stay in. Great free wifi. Hotel is perfect for a family Disneyland holiday.
We had a 2 room suite and loved it. One of the rooms has 2 queen size beds with a sink and counter space, TV, Hair dryer. The other room had a King bed, with full bathroom, and TV.Very friendly place, and an easy walk to Disneyland entrance
We stayed at the Castle Inn this week when we were evacuated due to the Canyon Fire 2 and they could not have been nicer. We didn't check in until 11pm that night, and yet were still greeted with a smiling front desk clerk who could not have been nicer! The rooms are super clean, beautifully decorated, and generously sized. For such a budget friendly hotel, we were impressed. You can literally walk to Disneyland, so many restaurants to choose just steps away, and they have an on-site convenience store for snacks and things like toothbrushes, which we forgot to pack when we had to leave our home so suddenly. Thankfully, we were able to return home the next day, but we will definitely be back and tell all our out-of-town friends to stay here! Bonus-it really does look like a castle, and there's a real suit of armor in the lobby, so much fun!
This hotel has a very serious problem maintaining water temperature. The tub / shower goes from tepid to scalding in seconds and fluctuates constantly. We had family also staying in the hotel that experienced the same issues so this wasn’t just our room. Besides that, this is a very very basic hotel. If it’s all you want to spend then it’s okay, if you can upgrade you probably should. There is a pool but it’s oddly located in the center of the parking lot. Our room was very quiet which was nice. Also, the hotel is across from the Disney property but is really a couple of blocks from the actual entrance. Probably a 10 minute walk. Bring your own conditioner & lotion. There isn’t any provided.
