Castle Inn and Suites
- What's Included
The rooms are quite basic and dated, but the price reflects this. The Castle Inn and Suites is a mid-evil themed motel style hotel located just across from the main gate to Disneyland. A budget hotel which is reflect in its price, decor, service and facilities. For a few bucks more you can probably find a nicer hotel.
Very close to Disney area. took about 5/7 min to walk over to the parks.very clean hotel and was very quick to get us a room after coming from a sold out night. the staff was very nice and polite. housing was very fast and did a great job defiantly will be going back to this place.
We booked a last-minute trip to Disney in late November for a post-new year trip. Our main focus was location to Disneyland because we were only visiting the park for one very long day - which equaled two nights in the hotel. Although the decor is a bit outdated, we had zero issues with our room. There were some smokers in the vicinity, but we live in an area where it's not allowed at all, so it's a bit more noticeable for us. The room was clean and close to the park, and that's all we needed.
We have stayed at about a handful of hotels in the area and this one is practically perfect in every way. The staff was very friendly and professional, it's obvious that they care about their customers. Our room was clean and comfortable. It was conveniently close to CVS and Walgreens. We were able to have them hold our luggage for us after check out and before our shuttle came. It was about a 10 minute walk from our hotel room to the entrance gates to Disneyland. We will definitely be staying here for all of our biannual Disneyland trips.
My family and I stayed here for 5 nights the week after Labor Day. The staff was always super friendly and helpful no matter what time we came to the lobby. The hotel is also in a great location...it took maybe 5 mins to walk to Disneyland resort. There are also restaurants and convenience stores in pretty close proximity (Walgreens and cvs). My ONLY complaint was that the rooms were not very well ventilated. We always came back to a muggy room which was bearable if we left the door open for a while. Maybe if the windows could crack it would help...All in all, though, still a pretty good value for our money.
We booked Castle Inn & Suites for a six night stay while visiting Disneyland. We arrived early but we were able to put our luggage in a locked room while we went over to the park, and stayed in a family suite that was two full rooms and perfect for two parents and two teenagers. I timed a walk to the park, and from the hotel lobby over to the Esplanade, through security and through the gates of California Adventure, it took 11:47. Yes, at the end of the day it seemed much further with tired feet, but we had no problem returning to the hotel midday for a swim and then would head back to the park a couple of hours later. The pool was nice and clean, and the room was surprisingly quiet for a "motel style" hotel (and we weren't even on the top floor - there was a family above us and I wouldn't even have known they were there except that I saw them!). Alberta at the front desk was amazing and booked a tour for us to Universal Studios for a price that was less than most of the brochures we looked at (and on a double decker bus with a bathroom!). She also called a private car company for us when we wanted to escape Disneyland for a few hours and go to the Peterson Car Museum and Venice Beach. The hotel is very close to Walgreen and CVS if you need anything, and the Garden Walk was close by with lots of restaurants, a bowling alley and an escape room. I'm happy to say that we didn't eat at McDonald's once! I would definitely consider staying at this hotel again - my only (very small) recommendation for improvement was that our air conditioner was a little stinky, but it gave us cold air on very hot days, so I can't complain too much!
