Clarion Hotel Anaheim
- What's Included
Our OpinionA cozy 3 star hotel. The Clarion Anaheim is 1 block from Disneyland. Offers a games room and Nintendo for the kids. Pool with pool side bar. If the price is right this is not a bad choice.
OverviewThis is a good choice if you are traveling with kids or are looking for an affordable place to stay near the Disneyland Resort®. Rooms are clean, cozy and offer the convenience of a full service hotel - step out on your balcony and watch the fireworks! Location: 10-minute walk from Disneyland Resort®, next to the Anaheim Convention Center, 5 minutes to Anaheim's Garden Walk. 57km from Los Angeles Int'l Airport.
We stayed here one night since we went to disneyland for the day and didn't feel like making the hour drive back home. Our stay was comfortable and quiet, no issues at all. The room was pretty clean. Fyi, you can take a shuttle to and from disneyland for like $5 and change, $3 for kids or take the 10-15 minute walk.
Nice hotel, nearbij Disney. 15 min walk. Nice and clean room with a balcony. Not very special. Recepionists are very nice and helpfullHave to pay for parking and breakfast. Breakfast is simpel. I will come back there for a Disney vissit.
We stayed at the Clarion for 9 days during spring. LOBBYThe hotel itself had a nice looking large lobby with comfortable seats to accommodate 8 people. There is a small but jam packed gift store that sells Disney apparel cheaper than Disneyland itself.Tip: Buy stuff from here not Disneyland. It's the same but cheaper. CORRIDORS The corridors on the ground floor had comfortable seats placed along the walls which I presume were in case of an overflow of people from the lobby waiting for their taxis, shuttles or über. GYMA small basic cardio gym can be found in the ground floor. The gym requires your room card to access and was usually packed early in the morning. It contains a couple of treadmills, stationary bikes and a cable cross machine. There is a towel rack and disposal area and it has a water cooler as well. POOLThe pool can be found on the ground floor. An outside pool surrounded by a large wall which was also controlled by card access. The pool was a decent size approx 15m x 8m and was deep enough to satisfy all family members (ages 7, 16 and late 30s). ROOMThe room was a good size with 2 x double beds and a fold out sofa. The bathroom was spacious and the room with giant windows offered an awesome view of the Disneyland fireworks every night at 9:30pm. The room got quite warm while we were there so we had to sleep with the air conditioning unit on which was pretty loud. The cleaners were the best we encountered during our time in the US. ACCESS CARDSThe access cards kept dropping out even when stowed away from things such as cell phones, magnets and other cards which became a painful exchanging game, 4 cards exchanged in total. Additionally, my partner saw a woman who had been locked out of her room in her underwear while getting ice. Very funny but a sobering reminder to put pants on before stepping out. RESTAURANT The restaurant was clean, the food was expensive but the staff were very polite. SERVICE The personnel who handled the bags and mail were downright lazy and rude. I was given the run around for four days while waiting for a delivered package. Even though I had tracking proof that the package had been delivered they wanted me to prove that one of them actually signed for it. After losing my cool and telling them to actually look rather than say nothing's come in, the guy found it in less than 30 seconds. Additionally, I saw the short guy blow off two other people when asked for assistance. The reception staff however were amazingly helpful, polite and nice to deal with. WEATHER The weather was nice sitting around 80 degrees Fahrenheit / 27 degrees Celsius. This is a good time of year to visit.
I stayed on the second floor these last two nights. I requested a room away from the elevator. The lady who checked me in informed me that the only floor she could accommodate my request was on the second floor where the rooms were not yet renovated. I told her that was alright. I had a corner room near the stairwell. Anyway, there was music from an outdoor speaker blaring underneath my window. The first night it seemed like the music became quieter when I called to complain. At that point, I was not sure where it was coming from. The second night the music was loud all night. I called the front desk several times. They were very rude and seemed to like to argue. After hours of not sleeping, I went down to figure out where it was coming from. I found the speaker on the wall under my window. A man with a very strong accent told me that there was nothing he could after denying that there was any music around me when I called at the front desk. It was as if I was lying. Anyway, I just stayed up all night over it. This morning when I checked out, I told the lady who checked out what happened. Her response, "you are the first to complain!' Wow! I think this is my first poor trip advisor review I have ever written. All of the others have been positive. I could not believe the attitudes of the staff. I know it was a busy time with a convention in town but how hard is it to be polite? On a positive note, the beds are comfortable and the room was clean but very tired..The hotel is less than a 5 minute walk to the convention center. I have been coming here for years. I will not be returning again after what happened.
My wife and I stayed at this hotel as we wanted to attend a baseball game at Anaheim Stadium. The stadium was approximately 10 minutes away from the hotel. Great location!Upon check-in, the hotel staff were extremely professional and prompt and were very user-friendly.Our room was very spacious, clean and quiet. After the ball game, we questioned the front counter person with respect to nearby restaurants and where duly provided with that information. The receptionist was very helpful and professional. Our overall experience at this hotel was very positive and I certainly would recommend this hotel to anyone that will be either attending a hockey, baseball or visiting the Magic Kingdom.Great location!Glen and Donna British Columbia Canada
