So it's 4 in the morning and I have been up for hours because there are trucks across the street working ALL night, workers yelling back and forth to one another, and back up beeps all night. It's been hours. We paid a good amount to stay here and what do they tell us, "we'll, you are staying across from a theme park." Rude. I could have saved money and stayed somewhere else. I've stayed at the Disneyland hotel and had a much quieter and pleasant, non rude experience. And now I hear hammering! And I'm supposed to move my 3 sleeping children at 4 in the morning? They won't ever go back to bed and how am I going to function when my alarm goes off at 7 a.m. Almost in tears. And by the way, it's a parking lot across the street not the theme park. And frankly it was quieter during the day. I turned the air on so I could have white notice and now I'm freezing in my room. My kids keep waking up asking what there noise is. Pleas don't stay here. Stay at the Disneyland Hotel. Better water slides there anyway. Horrible experience. I am going to be so tired in the morning.
The hotel was one of 3 Disney hotels, and as the cheapest of the three was the furthest away, still only a 10-15 minute walk from downtown Disney. We were there during the Disney marathon so it was busy in the early morning. The hotel was more of a base for us, we only really used it as a sleeping point and somewhere to rest after 2 long days at Disneyland. The room was an alright size for 3 adults and had a great view of the California adventure park. I would recommend staying here but I imagine if there is a bit more magic staying at the other two Disney hotels! But still great to feel part of the Disney magic.
Stayed one night during recent trip to see my son and daughter in law. Check-in was painless and our room was ready even though we arrived around 10:30 am. Our parking was free as we were staying on Disney Vacation Club points. We had a view of the pool and it looked like fun. The room size was great for the four of us and the decor was in line with what you expect from a Disney property. It is the farthest of the hotels from parks but the walk was not bad to the entrance of Downtown Disney. Didn't have the time to dine on property because we were trying maximize park time. The wait for the elevators was a little long when trying to check out but other than that there was nothing negative at all. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
Hotel was very nice, it's Disney so it's what you expect. Check-in was good, upgraded to concierge and better room. Unfortunately didnt get moved to higher floor, stayed here before and you can watch World of Color from higher floor. Concierge room was very good. Rooms are very good and it's a good hoteI, but have stayed at most hotels at WDW and unfortunately that's my bench mark. So a very good hotel, but not a great Disney Hotel.
Staying at a Disney hotel during summer time is expensive. I like being walking distance from Downtown Disney and the 2 theme parks. Of the 3 Disney Hotels, this one is the farthest away from the gates. I think Disney should allow guests of this hotel to access Downtown Disney and the parks through the Disney Grand California adventure hotel. It would be less walking. The hotel is clean, the staff are very well trained and very friendly. They have a modern elevator system with 4 elevators. you use a touch screen to indicate what floor you are going to and it tells you which elevator of the 4 to wait for. Good idea, but sometimes there are more people waiting than can fit in the elevator. The touchscreen doesn't know how many people are in the party. Other than that, no complaints. We ate breakfast at the hotel with the Disney characters. If you have kids you really need to do this. They get a lot more attention from the characters than in the theme parks and lots of great picture opportunities. They have lifeguards at the pool and life jackets for kids of all sizes. This was not my first time at this hotel and its possible I would stay there again in the future.
