Stayed here for the first time and will not again. The hotel is dated and dirty. The pool has very limited food options and the elevator system is inconvenient. We did the character breakfast since we were staying on property and would rate the service, food and cleanliness as poor. We love Disney and frequent their properties and cruises but this hotel does not meet the Disney standard. I realize it's the most affordable Disney hotel in Anaheim but the actual cost is not reflective of the experience. We do enjoy the extra magic hour so we will try one of the other two Disney properties next time. We stayed at Disneyland Hotel several years ago and it was great.
This was our 2nd time stay here. We booked 3 nights immediately after D23 Expo so that we had closer proximity to the parks & Downtown Disney, and got the early entry hour benefit. Unlike the WDW hotels that have value, moderate, and deluxe options, there's only one option out here - deluxe. Paradise Pier is the least expensive of the 3 hotels and the least themed. We did receive an upgraded view (though with two double beds instead of a king) that looked out over California Adventure which was nice to watch both day & night. The room was spacious, with a desk and sofa. We did use the pool once, though if there was an adults only area we didn't find it. We didn't do any onsite dining although the dinner buffet actually sounded like a decent deal.
We stayed in club level room. The room was nice. The club level services were minimal with no view from the club room. The food was the same as at the park and even the kids would not eat the hamburgers. The pool area needs work and there is limited food service at the pool as well and not fare that most would eat.
We had a wonderful 6 night stay in June with the family. We chose paradise pier as it was the cheapest of the Disney hotels and we wanted the magic morning/ extra hour at the parks. The room were large, clean and quiet with a fridge, so we stocked up on breakfast goodies and saved some $$'s. It's about a 15 minute walk to the parks via downtown Disney, we had been under the impression that we could enter via the grand Californian hotel- but when we arrived that wasn't the case. Only downside was the size of the pool, every afternoon it was absolutely packed with kids taking a break from the park.
We stayed here for three nights in July and spent one day in Disneyland and one day in California Adventure. we were greeted by a friendly bellhop who helped us bring our bags to our rooms. The room we reserved was 2 queen size beds and had lots of space. There was even a pull out couch, but we didn't need it. The room was clean with plenty of towels. The pool was great with a little water slide that the kids loved. We ate breakfast at the Surfside Lounge each morning. It's a great location and only about a 15 minutes walk to lots of restaurants in Downtown Disney and then another ten to the parks. We would definitely stay here again.
