This hotel was ok. Staff were pleasant. A little too far from the parks for us - yes there are shuttles but sometimes there is a while between them. Next time we will stay closer. One suggestion about the cookies - it would be great if they could offer a nut free version:)
We stayed here for a convention, which was walking distance to the convention center. The airlines changed our flight times, putting us in Cali a lot earlier than planned out. The hotel was very accommodating and let us check in early with no extra charge! We booked a suite and it was more than enough room for two adults and a child. Room was very clean. The pool was a decent size with enough room for the multiple children in it to play. We did have a view of the fireworks at Disneyland from the pool deck (an added bonus). It did have a very small gym and a very, very small arcade, but we did not use either. The onsite restaurant was excellent (best Calamari I ever had). The staff was exceptional! There is a small cafe onsite, but we went out for breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel! You could not have asked for more kinder and helpful staff. I will be looking to stay at Doubletree Hotels from now on during my travels.
Solid property...good value. Rooms a little dated but bed comfortable and living area good size. Service was average. Room was near ice machine and noise penetrated room door. Good location if visiting Disneyland although some adjacent areas a little noisy/busy.
That Guy here. This was a very good Double Tree. Good check in, friendly and helpful staff. All questions answered, and a Disney Welcome Center to buy tickets. Room service and food was good. There is a bar, coffee shop and guest store to purchase things. Housekeeper did a good job taking care of room. Disneyland, 5 minute cap ride. If you take a taxi, its $6.00-$7.00. If you take one of the other cars, it's $10.00 flat rate. Either way its worth it. You can walk to the park, will take 20 minutes. On a long day, hitch a ride. Many restaurants are with in walking distance and next to the Double Tree. It's safe to walk around, a lot of foot traffic, people going back and forth to the parks. I would stay here again and use as my home base.
This is a 10-minute walk from the Woody bus stop in the Disneyland Toy Story parking lot, and I rarely had to wait long for a bus, as they run all the time. It's also on a couple ART lines, so you have lots of options for getting to the park if you don't want to walk (which I didn't). I stayed in a corner King 2-room suite and loved the space. Everything was very clean, although the hotel is definitely dated (just think of it as vintage). The breakfast buffet was in line with other Doubletree buffets--lots of options and plenty of food (most of the time--there were a couple times when it took a little while to get more eggs or bacon/sausage, but that was rare). The pool and hot tub were both nice--not huge, but a decent size in both cases, and I appreciated them being on the second floor (on the roof of the lobby, I think), rather than next to the parking lot or street. I never heard any of my neighbors, and only rarely any street noise (it's a long straight road, so a couple times someone would really gun their engine when the light turned green--that was pretty rare though, and I was right on Harbor). Definitely recommend for a Disneyland stay!
