Disneyland Close by

The accommodation is good. Room size adequate for a couple. Pool. Good amenities throughout. Bed comfortable ( a major plus!). There is an adequate restaurant and the breakfast I'd fine. A bit expensive if all you are after is cereal and toast! The major benefit is its proximity to Disneyland. A 20 minute stroll along excellent and safe footpaths. Good value. Well recommended.

Disneyland visit

The hotel was ok and the location was right behind Disneyland, which was great. The walls are thin and we were able to hear conversations and people walking up and down the hallway all night long. Also, because our room was close to the elevator and the back door, when people went out to smoke, they stood right outside the back door and the hall window into the hotel was open so the smoke just lingered in the hotel hallway.

We stayed here for two nights at the end of our California vacation to be close to Disneyland. They have a shuttle you can catch for $5.50 to and from the gates of Disneyland. The hotel was wonderful with a large room (we were in the Fairy Suite), comfortable beds, great pool area, really nice restaurant with good food. The staff I met were so friendly.

Disneyland trip

This place is right outside Disneyland and within a good 15 min walk to Downtown Disney. Although the walk home after a long day in the park is a bit much. Pay for parking is a rip off, charge more for rooms and stop trying to hide fees. On a positive note, the bed was one of the most comfortable I've had in a while.

Decent place with great proximity

We booked this hotel through Disney Vacations- it was dramatically less expensive, and looking on the map we could tell it was super close. The positives: it was walking distance to the park (15 minute walk through Downtown Disney), was kept pretty clean, it was very quiet, super close to the Disneyland Hotel for Breakfast with Goofy, it is itself an ART (Local Busses to the park) stop, and had an abundance of free parking. The staff in general were pretty decent people to deal with. The bad: The standard rooms (All we were told we could book through Disney) are TINY for anything more than two people- we were a family of four and wound up paying $240 extra for a "Suite" which was really just a suite because of the space, the hotel is really showing it's age in a number of ways (Think bath, flooring, furniture, etc), our stroller wouldn't fit through doorways and elevators forcing us to fold it up everytime we left or returned, as many reviewers have noted the wifi defines poor, large trashcans without lids are at the end of the halls and were filled repeatedly with rotting food for that special ambiance, and maybe the most frustrating thing is that there are no safes within the rooms so your only option are safes at the front desk which were naturally filled the entire duration of our trip. We wound up just avoiding having to put the do not disturb sign out daily. This last point regards the One Block to Disney, it is not. The walk is at least 15 minutes to the actual park which in and of itself is not horrible, but after walking around the parks all day its a real killer. Buy the ART passes, it makes getting back and forth much more tolerable. If you're looking for a bargain option near Disney I think you could probably do worse, but understand its not exactly what the Disney Vacations or Holiday Inns ad's describe. This was probably longer than it needed be, but I didn't want to hold anything back.
