Sheraton Park Hotel
- What's Included
The Sheraton Park Hotel is a solid 5 star resort. It is about a 5-10 minute walk to the main gate of Disneyland. It is not right across the street from the park, so it is a little quieter if that is what you are looking for. This is a definite option if you are looking for a good 4 star hotel. Good for families and couples alike. Higher floors facing the park have a good view of the fireworks.
Our family of 5 stayed at the Sheraton Anaheim for a Disneyland visit. We found the hotel to be an easy home base, about a 15 minute walk to Disney. Though we didn't end up spending that much time actually in the hotel, just about everything was flawless. We arrived early in the morning and stored our luggage, and found the front desk and bell staff friendly and helpful. They called me when our room was ready, and check-in was quick and easy. The only flaw was with the ART busses the hotel recommended we take to the park. The busses were terribly unreliable - sometimes never came, and we ended up wasting lots of time waiting for busses, both at the hotel and at Disney. Clearly not the hotel's fault, but they should consider not recommending the ART busses. It's faster to just walk or take other transportation. The hotel pool is fantastic and the pool bar was great for refreshments and snacks. The app for ordering food is a nice touch. We also found the coffee shop / convenience store to be very efficient. They are able to move a lot of coffee orders through very quickly, and are well stocked for almost any need. In short, the Sheraton Anaheim is more than just a good alternative to the pricey Disney hotels; we will certainly return.
The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. There's a Starbucks in the lobby and a CVS, 7/11 and Walgreens down the road. The coin operated laundry is handy too. A fifteen minute walk to Disneyland so very convenient. The only downside is the construction work across the road which has woken us up at about 0530 - 0600 every morning - jackhammers, beeping trucks etc... If you're coming back from the Disneyland fireworks at night expect to get about six hours sleep. I'd definitely come back here but not until the construction work is finished.
My family on our recent trip down the west coast sent a couple days at the twin disney themed parks. We stayed at the Sheraton which was a lovely hotel within walking distance of both parks. The hotel is modern, has good facilities and a nice diner as part of it. Anaheim itself isn't much of a place and everything revolves around the parks. Being winter there was constant rain on our first day and so thinking that it would be great to have nice weather to go to the parks, thought we may delay our trip and come back a few days later. Unfortunately the reception desk said this was not possible as we had rebooked and so that wasn't a great experience. Saying that the cool thing about going to Disney in the rain was that there were no lines. Overall the hotel was good, but I wouldn't be rushing back.
Was at the bar for a show the place was swamped but something happened and the manager walked over , but I was there the whole time the manager didn't know what happened but the bar tender was a total all star , still can't believe why the manager would be mad at the bar tender when she was doing an amazing job
Rooms were great, we even were surprised to have a balcony and could even see the Disneyland fireworks every night. Was nice to have a fridge in the room. The pool area was nice. The fitness room was sufficient. Things appeared to be well-kept. Staff was extremely professional and helpful. They strived for customer satisfaction. The hotel was very handy to restaurants, pharmacies, the convention center, The rooms were updated and the beds super comfortable. Two drawbacks: They didn't seem to have enough elevators to handle the amount of people traffic. We waited and waited for elevators every single time. Always a long wait. Secondly, the hotel didn't offer free wi-fi. There were two daily packages to purchase, one for $8 per day and one for $15 a day. In my opinion, that is just ridiculous. Just a chance to charge more money, but for what I paid for the room, it should've been included. It's 2017....give us wifi!!
