Our OpinionThe Sheraton Park Hotel is a solid 5 star resort. It is about a 5-10 minute walk to the main gate of Disneyland. It is not right across the street from the park, so it is a little quieter if that is what you are looking for. This is a definite option if you are looking for a good 4 star hotel. Good for families and couples alike. Higher floors facing the park have a good view of the fireworks.
We chose this hotel because I have found that hotels in the Sheraton chain are usually first rate hotels. Not this time. My wife and I recently spent a weekend at the Sheraton Park Anaheim.First the positives: - The hotel is in an excellent location, within walking distance of the Resort and many fine restaurants. - The landscaping around the hoel is beautiful. - Although we arrived early in the day on Friday, our room was ready and check in was easy. - All the hotel staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Now the negatives: - The size of our room was disappointing. It appears that the room was built to accomodate one king/queen bed. However the room had two queen beds. Needless to say it was crowded. - There were no nightstands adjacent either bed - no room. - Neither the mini-fridge nor the coffee maker were working when we got to the room. We subsequently discovered that neither had been plugged in, making it necessary for us to move the adjacent dresser to access the outlets. - The room had the smallest bathroom counter I have seen in a hotel. It was barely 3 feet wide (including the sink) leaving very little space to put toiletries out. - The sliding doors on the closet were off the track. Maintenance was called to get them back on track. While some of these negatives may appear to be minor inconvenience, when one is paying in excess of $200 per night for a room, one should not have to deal with such annoyances. Overall, based on our experience I would give the Sheraton Park Anaheim Hotel no more than a C rating. Disappointing.
The hotel was great and worth the price. The hotel staff was very helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. We had a small problem and the problem was taken care of almost immediately. We will definitely stay here again.
The free continental style breakfast and the quick shuttle to Disneyland make this hotel more than worth the price which is very reasonable. Everything is kept very clean & with just a little work this hotel could be top notch. It is very possible that the only thing wrong is the fact that it does so much business that it needs a slight renovation. I am sure many thousands of visitors bound for Disneyland,as we were, stay here every year ,. So, the little broken tiles here and there don't take too much away from what is a fine 3 & 1/2 star hotel.
Stayed here for 2 nights after a long flight from the UK, our purpose was a visit to Disneyland whilst visiting family in O.C afterwards. We stayed in the club room with access to the club lounge as we wanted to make our stay comfortable after the long flight with some added nibbles and drinks. You get one ticket for an alcoholic beverage and then you have to pay for anything alcoholic over and above that (which we thought having been lounge access in many hotels before there would of been more than one alcoholic drink free), soft drinks and water are unlimited along with coffee and tea and there was fruit a plenty. The hot options were fried jalapeño cheese bites and fried courgettes so basically just something to nibble on. They served breakfast there in the morning which was ideal and had a good selection however another member of staff wouldn't go a Miss in that area as it can get busy and the breakfast can go quick as people are in and out quickly as everyone is heading to Disney. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the beds were very comfy. It was about a 10/15 minute walk to Disney. We left at 7.30am, arrived at Disney at 7.40/7.45 and got into the park at around 8.30 as the queues are incredible, (Disney check everyone's bag before u get near the park). Everyone in the area is walking to Disney so there is a good buzz on route, (I have a 5 year old who hates walking and he managed the walk no problem). There is also a bus that leaves the hotel and heads to Disney and you pay around $5 per adult as its run by the city, thinks it's $2 for kids however the walk was good and it's quick. You can buy your tickets for Disney in the hotel so this saves time too. There is plenty of restaurants and shops all around the hotel including a shop in the hotel so if you choose to just go room only there is plenty of amenities near by on the doorstep. I would definitely stay at this hotel again although I don't think it matters where u stay in this area as you spend most of your time out of the hotel so really it's just a bed for the night u need :).Staff member alexis was fantastic and recognised how exhausted we were travelling from the Uk and she went above and beyond so 5 stars for alexis!!!Would we stay here again? Absolutely!!!!'
The room was clean and tidy. Check in was simple and quick. They allowed us to check out two rooms and choose the one that we wanted. The pool wasn't very warm but I understand the weather had turned cool. We enjoyed watching the fireworks from the elevator lobby on the 10th floor.
