Great Staff

Stayed at this hotel during Hurricane Irma. Hotel is under construction but property has AMAZING potential - it's across the street from a beautiful beach and the pool area is very nice as well. There's a great deli and a nice bar/restaurant in the lobby. It's also on a boat pier. Pet friendly, people friendly - very professional staff who went out of their way to make us feel welcome and secure after the Hurricane Irma. I'll go back for a weekend getaway soon - I'm missing that early morning beach walk I treasured when I was there.

Excellent hotel

I stayed at the hotel over the 2017 labor day weekend and the service was excellent. Everyone was friend and extremely helpful. The hotel is across the street from a beautiful beach and walking distant to restaurants on the strip. The rooms are nice and clean. Great view of the beach and marina next door. Excellent place to relax.

On your own!

Location is great, so is the price, but of course, you only get what you pay for... The breakfast made me and my partner run for the bathroom every day we had it, even when I tried only eating the oats and toast, so beware! I think I possibly saw 3 staff members out of the dozens we encountered smile during our entire week stay. Staff seems MISERABLE and SLOW in every way. Every single day towels were hard to come by, beach AND shower towels! One day we were told at the pool, "He's coming up right now with beach towels" so we decided to have breakfast then return for them, 40 mins later, no towels! Call the front desk for something and expect to wait 12 hours. We even had housekeeping walk right into our room when I was completely naked getting dressed (had music playing and shower running so we didn't hear a knock, if they even knocked) and we barely got an apology...they offered us free hot breakfast...no thanks, since it will just make you sick! Renovations were a slight inconvenience as well but we were at least prepared for that. I'd like to mention Oscar at Breezes was friendly and attentive and so was Stephen at the front desk...everyone else, super depressing.

Great Location

We were told we had been upgraded to the tower complex but we wanted to stay in the older section with a balcony room overlooking the Marina. It is just fantastic. Sure the rooms are older but they are clean and roomy enough - but nothing in the new Tower can compare to sitting on your own balcony, sipping a nice cold drink and looking out to the ocean and marina. Just perfect.

Great Room and Location - but Awful Customer Service

We were fortunate enough to stay in a room that had just been remodeled. It was nice and had an amazing view. We also found the location to be great. Close to the Jungle Queen, restaurants, the beach and the airport. Unfortunately, as great as all that was, the lack of customer service brings this overall rating down to a two.During our visit I received an email from Hilton Honors Fraud Department informing me that my account had been compromised. As a result, they closed my original account and assigned me a new number. The email instructed me to inform the front desk and have them change the number on my reservation. I showed the email to the front desk and did what I was asked. Unfortunately they wouldn't do it, saying that the fraud department would take care of everything. There was nothing I could do, so my stay remained under my original honor's number. After checking out, I received a text message from "Jeffrey", the assistant front office manager and thought, great..now I can get this resolved. No such luck. I responded, but "Jedalyn" got back to me and made things worse. Instead of helping me, Jedalyn was defensive and kept insisting that my honors number was connected to my stay. I tried to explain that number was my original, but was getting nowhere. Instead Jedalyn kept emailing me my receipt - 6 times in fact... just to keep showing me my honors number was on it. I sent a screenshot of the original email from the fraud department, but it made no difference. I'm still shocked on how Jedalyn handled the situation. How can someone be a lead in customer service and ignore /not listen to a customer's problem. This experience has been so stressful that my body doesn't even feel like it had a relaxing vacation a few days ago. Experiences like this make Marriott look like a much better option.
