Crowne Plaza Hollywood Beach
- What's Included
Recently stayed Jan 18 and 19 for business purposes. Great people, very helpful, fast check-in, clean spacious room with a king bed and climate controls that worked well. Be advised no bathtub if that's your thing, just a spacious shower which worked very well. If the beach is your thing note that it is quite narrow near the hotel. You would need to move north to the Hollywood-Dania area for wider sand and a boardwalk. I booked through hotwire so didn't expect the world but the only thing that was missing was the view. To be expected. i did not use the bars or restaurants or any of the other amenities so I cannot comment on these. I would definitely return.
Excellent service from Jackie at breakfast! She went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of. She came back to the table several times to make sure we were taken care of. Breakfast was excellent!
Stayed here year ago when it was a Crown Plaza, same hotel some improvements. It was cold in the 40f this week but the Pool was heated and very warm, felt like 88f!!!! Hot tube also very relaxing with background Tropical music playing, plenty of chairs. This Hotel is right on the inter coastal but you will have to walk across the A1A to get to the beach access 3 min walk to the beach. My room needed some repairs, shower faucet was broken and room door didn't close properly. I had a great experience at breakfast, Jackie my server was super nice and she gave me a great service!!! Food, well, your typical "Hotel" buffet style, over price and so so food. Overall a great place to stay, I enjoyed Valet parking everywhere I go but if your looking for Self Parking Hotel this is not it, Valet Only. No restaurant walking distance, Hollywood Boardwalk not walking distance, so you will need to jump in your car. Bank of America is 2 step from the hotel if you need some cash their is a convenient store and gas station beside the hotel. Very close to Walmart, Publix,Walgreen and other shops about 1 miles from the hotel on Hallandale blvd along with other Restaurants. You will need to get there by car.
Stayed here while awaiting a cruise departure. Not too far from FLL. Found the facility to be clean and welcoming and the staff to be very friendly across all interactions. The room was clean and mostly presentable. The desk in our room was broken and poorly fixed, and the heater was still on when we arrived in the room on a rather mild day. We informed the front desk of these concerns and they were receptive, however we departed prior to seeing anything done. The restaurant is slightly pricey for what you get and was a bit of a ghost town, but the food was fantastic (exceeded expectations) and the staff was very friendly.
I was put up at the DT after a hell of a day of travel by a particular airline. I was greeted by THE NICEST bellmen by the name of Joe. He must have sensed that the group that arrived had a LONG day and immediately made it his job to turn the day around. He grabbed our bags, he offered us water as we waited to get checked in. The FD staff was amazing as well, they jumped into their stations and worked with the group (majority non English speaking). The staff really turned my day around after 12 hr international travel ... the airline & airport is a separate review which will not be so favorable. The Double Tree however gave me a beautiful, clean and comfortable place to lay my head to help ease the miserable day of travel.
