Crowne Plaza Hollywood Beach
- What's Included
It's been exactly one week since we got married at the Crowne Plaza. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by Rick and Joe at the concierge desk and checking in with Barbara and Josh at the the front desk they were so accommodating with us and all of our guests! We would like to thank everybody at the front desk who were so accommodating with all of our guests and all of our needs. Jo, Cynthia, Camila, Kevin. We were shown true Hospitality by everybody but Kelvin went above and beyond he has such big dreams and the way he treated us he's definitely going to go far we can't wait to come back and see how far he will come. And Mike helping us out night of the wedding he was awesome!! BUT THE TRUE MVP for making our wedding everything we have ever hope for is Loretta and Lourdes! Planning a destination wedding wasn't always easy but these two ladies made it a walk in the park any questions, any concerns, they were right there whenever we needed anything and I mean anything! Lourdes was sent from heaven, she was so accommodating so helpful anything I needed the day of or building up to the day she was right there. I appreciate every single person who was there helping out at our wedding day and took excellent care of our guests. I couldn't imagine getting anywhere else besides the Crowne Plaza at Hollywood Beach! We cant wait to come back and makes even more memories. And the first thing I'm going to do is go get that world-famous mojito cuz they were delicious.. Thank you everyone!
My girlfriend and I just got back from 4 days at the Crown Plaza. It was great! From the excellent front desk service to Shamika who knew how to get our coffee just right- to Garlin and Kalford at the Tiki Bar l, I wanted to thank all for making 4 days fun and relaxing. It is the staff that makes a place great!
I'm a local and booked this hotel thinking I could relax and have a mini vacation away from home. Not so. The first room assigned to me was old and dirty. The carpet was stained, the shower rusty and hairs on the bathroom floor. The door and furniture had fingerprints all over and the room was just generally run down. I requested a room change, which was in no better condition. Same cracked floor tiles and rusty bathroom. At this point I requested a remodeled room, which was on a higher floor. This one was acceptable, a clean room at least. Aside from this we checked in and the hotel is under major construction, outside and inside. Everything in this hotel is makeshift, however they still charge full prices. I feel the management is shady and out to deceive their guests. Most people who book their rooms here are from internet websites, who list this hotel as a Four Star Hotel. Which it certainly is not.
Even though construction is underway (very quiet)... the service was excellent. Had a gorgeous room overlooking the pool. Great free breakfasts and work out room had newer exercise equipment and temperature was excellent (cool enough)! Enjoyed our server Jackie at breakfast. She was excellent!
Don't waste your money here. Unless you enjoy listening to the sound of a generator at 6am. The lot right next to the hotel is under construction and the hotel itself is under construction. We were lucky enough to have a balcony view from the 7th floor of the daily construction next door AND the just under the daily construction of the 8th floor above us. Looking forward to some rest and relaxation? You won't find it here. Hell... they should have just come in the room door and started in my room. The first attempt to use the coffee pot at 5am and it's DEAD. So 1 hour later they finally bring me a replacement after 2 calls to the front desk. I guess they were still sleeping since the generator hadn't woke them up yet. 1 of the lamps in the room was also not working. On the brighter side the super expensive pool food was actually good. 2 meal and 2 drinks plus the mandatory 18% surcharge will run about $60. Even if the service is just tolerable you'll pay the 18%. Want to have a nice morning breakfast?? You'll eat in the ball room at the temporary dining area while the actual restaurant is...... yes you guessed it. UNDER CONSTRUCTION. So, we get back from the beach around 5PM hoping to grab a shower and quick nap only to find our room hasn't been cleaned. So we wait out in the hall while the nice lady cleans the room. For OUR (2 of us) inconvenience they make it all better with..... wait for it...... 1 comp coffee and 1 comp drink. Yeah.... all better. If this was my hotel I would have fired the manager. It's obvious the manager is useless and can't solve problems with some common sense. Call ahead to confirm the construction. The whole south side of the hotel get the noise and view of the construction. The whole 7th floor gets it from above. We got both. All this enjoy is on day 1 of 3. Not sure we'll even stay any longer. And as you can see from my photo I'm a professional at staying in hotels.
