terrible customer service, ignorant supervisor

I am a Hilton Honor member. We drove down to Fort Lauderdale on the 22nd of July to check in to two rooms. The check in time was 4pm.One room was ready and we were asked to wait 15 minutes for the second room on the same floor. After 20 mins we were asked to wait 5 more minutes. Then after 15 minutes we were asked to wait for 5 more minutes but at this time I was told by the receptionist " I am waiting just like you". WHAT KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THIS?After waiting 1 HOUR and 20 MINUTES at 5:35 I went and asked about the room.The receptionist told me it was ready LONG AGO and the key was in front of her. Both of the receptionist were disorganized and unprofessional. Eventually we got the room key and before I left the reception I asked the receptionist to let the bell boy ( I tipped already) that we are in 807 room and our suitcases are on the trolley to bring it up to the room.AGAIN waiting 15 minutes no suitcases! My husband went down to the lobby and asked the bell boy if he remembered the lady who just tipped him $10 he replied yes. He told him that he could see he was busy talking outside and my husband took the trolley up to our room.He was never informed by the receptionist that we checked in to our room! We made several complaints to the front desk and were promised that a supervisor would contact us. Didn't happen. On leaving I was promised an email and I explained that an apology would be fine. To date, NOTHING. Shame on you!!There are many boutique hotels in the same area and down on the beach front, nicer, professional and friendlier, I advise you check them out!!!!!

Several issues

This hotel has a $33/day valet fee and is a valet only hotel, not disclosed on reservation but at time of check. Room needed maintenance. Front entrance under construction. Seemed like one mishap after another. Complimentary breakfast was ok, but the table I was originally sat at had bugs crawling around on it and the server acted as if it was not a problem but did move me to another table.

Had a great Time!

Great Hotel, huge Suite with Water-view on to the Intercostal waterway in Ft. Lauderdale ! Unbeatable location with Beach and Entertainment in walking distance! Accessing Water taxi directly at the hotel! Suite was clean, comfortable and very luxuries! Friendly staff!Perhaps valet parking could be a little bit cheaper, but it is very convenient and after all acceptable regarding the whole package! Can absolutely recommend this fantastic Hilton Hotel!Thanks for giving us a great time!

Disgusting, Dirty, and Dated

Let me start by saying management need not reply with a generic response to this review because they were very aware of my situation when I stayed at their hotel. At first glance, the lobby of the hotel was very inviting, spacious, clean and well lit. The $33.00 a night valet parking was extremely disorganized however; the guys were amazing. They had great attitudes considering the lack of organization and management of their valet processes and the 90-degree heat. We arrived at the hotel at 11 am and I knew check in wasn’t until 3pm however; my brother is a Hilton Rewards Member and advised me to let them know I was there just in case the room was ready. I did just that……...Fast forward to 2:45pm and the room “isn’t ready yet. We’re short staffed and it’s the holiday so.” Strike one. Please don’t make excuses for your lack of time management. Note: I will try my best to keep this short because I loathe reading long reviews.At 3:35pm the room still wasn’t ready and I was offered 6 warm chocolate chip cookies as though that would alleviate my frustration (did I say I was travelling with 4 children (17, 15, 7, & 3) and my husband. Oh and I’m Vegan so the cookies didn’t help me 😊Fast forward again and finally shortly before 4pm I was provided a key card to suite 309. The hallway carpet was filthy, the room had pubic hair in the shower and around the toilet; the kitchen area was filthy- sticky refrigerator, sticky cabinets, etc. The bathroom was disgusting and the shower curtain interior looked like they were never changed. I went to Publix (not sure if that’s the correct spelling) which was within walking distance and purchased bleach, Clorox wipes, gloves, etc. but not before I checked the mattresses for bugs, dirt, etc. So, there’s a trick I learned a while back and it’s been moving along nicely throughout hotels. Place a dollar bill under the mattress cover before you leave the hotel. Wonder if they ever change ALL of the sheets from the previous stay? No sir. If you find that dollar then you know the entire bed was not re- made. I found coins (not a dollar) but obviously placed on purpose (thanks). Pretty disgusting right. The positive side, it was only on the king bed. The king mattress also had what appeared to be blood stains (check for yourself if you stay) on the right side. Housekeeping managers finally arrived and looked at me as if I were crazy because of my numerous complaints and after I was done showing them how disgusting the room was, they proceeded to have a dialogue in Spanish- I have no idea what they were saying. A nice Haitian woman was sent to re do the beds, ALL of them. And guess what? She found a child’s silver bracelet under the mattress cover and assumed it was my daughter’s. No ma’am that was left on the bed from the last guest.Next up-The Laundry room was incredibly dirty and the trashed stayed in there for the duration of my stay (7/4-7/7). I didn’t have a choice regarding washing because of the sand from the beach. I could write another page of negatives however; I think this (and the pictures) provides enough insight for you to make a sound decision. In all fairness, I have to add the pros: the pool was small, but decent for children; the front desk response time was great and we called 3 times during our stay; the water taxi stopped right by the pool. The prices for my family size was a bit steep, but really nice (get on the double decker one- single level way too hot); Overall the staff was pleasant and helpful.The hotel is not on the beach, but really close if you feel like walking. The mall is within walking distance and some great restaurants too. It would’ve been perfect if not for the obvious. I hope this helps.

Tons of potential ,but a dissapointment ....

This property has a ton of potential ,but a real disappoint ,located between the beach and a shopping mall (walking distance)and a water taxi stop , but the room it self need a makeover blotches of discolored paint on the ceiling ,cabinets,are swollen appears to have water damage ,carpet in hallway in front of (rm922)worn to the backing . The pool bar was having a Happy Hour,when we arrived ,but closed because it was "too hot",room was never cleaned after our first night stay (we were there for two nights ). Valet was the only option for parking and the first day it went smooth text them for our car and it was waiting when we got down stairs ,the next day they said they were having problems with the texting system ,even though I got a confirmation text saying they received it
