Hawks Cay Resort
- What's Included
OverviewHawks Cay is located in the middle of the Florida Keys on the quiet island of Duck Key. The resort is just over an hour's drive from Key West attractions and nightlife, and only minutes from the village of Marathon. Enjoy fishing, diving, dolphin encounters, water sports, kids camps, tennis and more at the only island resort that you can drive to.
Came to the Florida Keys expecting small hotels/ motels and was delighted to find the Hawks Cay resort. A full service resort with all the amenities. Great Locations on our way down to Key West. Nice way to break up the week in the Florida Keys, split between Duck Key and Key West.
Went here for a quick getaway. This was the first time we stayed in their hotel rooms and found them very average. The hotel overall felt a little too touristy for us and if we went back to the keys we would stay somewhere a little more laid back.
I have stayed there many times over the years and the quality is great. One used to receive breakfast w/ the room but no more. This is a class act! There is a swimming lagoon which is deliteful. Pricy but worth it
This is truly a 5 star resort, priced accordingly as well. We enjoyed our trip to Hawks Cay on Duck Key. Whether pool side, playing soccer, or watching the dolphins. There was something for everyone. We went on a fishing trip that left us memories for a life time.
I stayed in the 2 bedroom villas that have dock access at Hawks' Cay. It was a two story unit with 2 bedrooms upstairs along with 2 full bathrooms. Downstairs there was a half bathroom, full kitchen, dining area and living room with pull out sleeper sofa. The size of the unit was great for a family of 5 that includes 3 teenage boys. The back patio was private and partly covered with a small hot tub that now works as a tiny pool with no jets or heat. There was plenty of room on the patio for 4 top table and a few loungers for sunbathing. The resort was clean, beautifully decorated and upscale in design. We enjoyed the 2 pools, one was for adults only, and the man made lagoon. The cabanas around the lagoon were a nice way to relax without a lot of noise from other guests. We ordered a poolside service lunch and enjoyed the service and the food. We rented a boat from a local rental shop and spent time in the Florida Straits. We brought our boat into the water passageways at Hawk's Cay and were able to moor at the Angler and Ale for a late lunch. The teens had fun practicing piloting the boat, performing jumps and dives off the side of the boat and learning some nautical info on passing other boats and buoys. We had a wonderful experience and plan to return in the future. This resort will work well for all travelers...couples, families with children of all ages, seniors and singles. There is a dolphin experience at the resort that can be seen from the pool area that looked intriguing, but we didn't take advantage of it on our trip. The resort also has many planned activities for all ages of guests daily, so finding something to do with others will never be an issue while vacationing at Hawk's Cay Resort.
