Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort
- What's Included
We visit Fort Lauderdale several times a year and have stayed at almost all the higher end hotels along A1A. However, the past 4 or 5 years, we have stayed at the Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort because of their friendly staff and the great customer service/experience we receive. This past trip was no exception. We arrived a few hours before checkin so we went to the 6th floor bar and Phillip, the Food and Beverage Manager, recognized us from our previous stays. He thanked us for coming back and chatted with us for a while. When we checked into our room, there was a lovely surprise from Phillip waiting for us. The bartenders are also very attentive and friendly. Ryan, one of the bartenders at the 6th floor bar, is the best, he makes everyone feel welcome!
Family of 8 stayed at Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort the night before a cruise. We have stayed at several other Fort Lauderdale hotels before a cruise, but this was by far the best of the best. We had two one bedroom suites and everyone had a great sleep and an enjoyable and relaxing time. Three grandkids took advantage of the beach and pool and thoroughly enjoyed their relaxing and fun time before we took off on our cruise.
Loved the whole beachfront, oceanfront experience of the Hilton Beach Resort. The wraparound balcony of the king bed suite was to die for. Staff were very efficient, helpful and very friendly. Can't wait to go back again!
I was a bit disappointed by my experience, especially considering this hotel generally has good reviews and that's why I chose to stay there. We had an oceanfront room, the view was fantastic, and the staff was generally very nice but it's not enough to make the stay pleasant. The shower and both sinks from master bathroom were a bit clogged and water didn't drain well, so when we would use them, stagnant water would just splash on us. There is no way housekeeping could not have noticed this if they had taken the time to clean the sinks. The upper side of both toilet bowls were moldy, with obvious stains of very persistent pink and black mold and it stayed like that during my whole stay. It seemed like it hadn't been cleaned properly or scrubbed for quite a long time. I didn't bother to complain as I was staying only 2 days and I was traveling with a young kid and didn't want to bother to waste my precious vacation time changing room and pack my bags again, but it was disgusting. I wouldn't have been able to tolerate this if I was staying longer. There was no soap holder on the countertop next to the sink in the second bathroom, that wasn't a problem until we noticed that even after housekeeping came several times during our stay and didn't find it necessary to put a soap holder during our whole stay and would just dry the countertop and then place the soap back directly on the countertop. There is an obvious lack of cleanliness, which is a pity as we were really looking forward to stay to this stay, but after that experience, we found that for the money we paid, it was not a satisfying experience.
This hotel is situated near to Fort Lauderdale Beach. It's rather expensive, but rooms are roomy, and beds are comfortable. We had a junior suite, we were 3 persons, and our son slept on a sofa bed. We asked for the sofabed to be made up during the daytime. Did that, but was not able to make it up again at turn down service in the evening. Had to ask them to do it, one of the nights we waited for more than one hour before they fixed it. Enoying.Had dinner two times in the hotel restaurant Ilios. Had a great steak. Good food, good service. Not too expensive.Breakfast 29 $ a person. Didn't try that, too expensive.Nice pool area, not to much sun due to high buildings next door.Free beach chairs (2) at he beach. Red flag 3 of 5 days. Ok hotel, but not my number 1 choice next time we vist Fort Lauderdale.
