Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort
- What's Included
Having stayed here three times the last 18 months. Every time was the same. The bellmen are prompt and courteous. Checking in was easy. The elevators are quick and available. Our view each stay though different each time was great. Would highly recommend this as one of our favorites. Treat yourself to a drink at the pool bar. All of the bartenders are fabulous.
I like to judge hotels by "Three Ms": Management, Maintenance, and (a)Menities. This hotel failed badly on two of them.Maintenance: The property is very run-down. Not the exterior, as you would expect at a place battered by ocean exposure. But the hallways have been beat up by luggage and housekeeping carts—wallpaper torn off, plaster/drywall broken underneath, door jambs dented, etc. Some of the decrepitude is downright dangerous. When we had breakfast, the corner of our table was broken, leaving a jagged edge that tore a hole in my partner's pants as she stood up. The sharp edge is right at head/face level for a child, and our table was far from the only one with the problem.Management: The hotel was badly understaffed. The check-in counter was consistently overwhelmed. The service we received from staff was excellent, but it was clear that they needed reinforcements.'Menities; The only thing that came close to a saving grace. We took advantage of the spa services and both really enjoyed our massages. I sent my suit for the wedding out to get pressed after it had gotten wrinkled during our travels, and it was returned promptly and in excellent shape. Lovely shower, jacuzzi tub. Also very much recommend the S3 Restaurant connected to the lobby (different from the hotel's breakfast restaurant): had lunch there one day, then drinks with friends another night, and enjoyed both experiences.Bottom line: You can do better for the money, and honestly ought to be able to do better for LESS money. Stay elsewhere.
i have stayed at the resort many times and always find it to be just perfect. the staff is friendly and warm and the property is very comfortable... this trip we worked with edward at the concierge desk. he was so friendly and accommodating and truly seems to love his job. he is a real gem and an asset to the hotel. we will continue to return again and again where we always have a great vacation and a relaxing stay.
The hotel is across the street from the beach. Meaning it is roughly 100 feet from the beach. I read some reviews that made it sound far away. A cross walk is right there and so is the beach. Good location to excise up and down the beach or short Uber rides to many area restaurants. We stayed in a suite with two queen beds and pull out with a both and a 1/2 . A walk in shower and separate large jacuzzi tub. A full size kitchen was there too, but we didn’t use it. The continental breakfast was very solid offering. The pool area was nice and clean with two hot tubs as well. The pool was heated well. The staff was great. I came back from and run And while walking through the lobby a staff member asked if I would like a water, very impressive. Hoosier keeping was prompt and did a very good job each day.
Hotel was perfect - great staff for anything we needed. our suite was perfect for the 4 of us! Thank you we will go back View was great - food at restaurant and break fast had great selection. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay
