Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort
- What's Included
The Hilton has become our family's official annual Florida vacation. We come year after year for many reasons which include our fabulous suite, beautiful amenities, excellent customer-care service with special mention to Mady Cohen who goes above and beyond to ensure that we are well taken care of! The hotel and staff strive to make you feel right at home.
My daughter and I stayed here for a four day girls get away. It was lovely. Great location! The staff was outstanding, so professional, courteous and extremely helpful. Thanks to the concierge, front desk staff, and servers- you all were outstanding.
We booked two nights, but as we entered the room, with a parking lot view, we found dirty towel in the bathroom of a previous guest( human hair in it) After a complaint to the front desk director,Greg,we were upgraded to a mini suite over looking the ocean.Greg really tried hard to make it right for us,and he did.Great to know that some establishments do care about their brand and customers. Also Shane K.from the concierge team was extremely helpful and friendly.Pool is great, and so is breakfast.
We visited this hotel with our three teen boys. We also had friends staying there with their school aged kids. The hotel amenities are amazing as are the vast majority of the staff. I had lovely conversations with employees from the bar, restaurant, poolside, front desk, and even housekeeping! I did encounter one housekeeper who was definitely having a bad day but heck, we all have those! The rooms were clean and tidy and getting dishes and flatware as well as bed linens and extra towels was as easy as a quick phone call...and they were all delivered with a smile. The only housekeeping issue I could see room for improvement in (and I say this because my friend's room had the same issue) was the attention to detail in cleaning the shower. The tiles were looking quite shabby, my friend's room had one coming loose, and the shower doors (glass) were covered in soap scum so that they were foggy with it. Outside of that, everything was perfect with regards to the room. The only other complaint is that the prices in the coffee shop downstairs (serving Starbucks) is SO overpriced!!!! One double macchiato was $5!!!! The hotel charges a $25 resort fee and $39 per day for valet parking ($41 after tax) with no self parking option. I tried to find alternatives but there are none so we bit the bullet and paid the fee! Towels are always available for pool and beach use. Beach access is ideal with a lift that is accessible from the pool deck and with room key, also accessible from the footpath back to the pool deck. Such a nice amenity to have! The pool and deck are gorgeous and the pool bar staff is readily available to service gorgeous cocktails. The breakfast buffet is not cheap but quite nice and beautifully stocked so I suppose for a hotel of this caliber they're somewhat justified in charging the price they do ($30 for adults, $15 for kids). They even had fresh dragon fruit one morning! They also offer the use of two bikes (with lock and helmet) per adult per day (I think it was for a max of two hours). This is handy for nipping down to CVS or to the park which is 1.1miles away. There are also a few food options nearby you can cycle or walk to if you don't want to spend a fortune in the hotel restaurant. You do need to be 18 or over for bike use though. All in all we were very happy with our time there and would definitely consider returning.
We arrived at the hotel around 11:30 in the morning after disembarking our cruise. We checked in, and received an upgrade to the Presidental Suite. The room was not ready for a long time - not until 3:30 in the afternoon. We spent the 4 hours at the pool, having left our luggage with the bell staff. Once we finally got to the room, we were thrilled. The room is HUGE! There are two bedrooms with king beds on the first floor, along with 2.5 bathrooms. There's a full kitchen and living room, and there are four balconies on this level - two of which have amazing sea views. The master bedroom and bathroom are on the second level. This room has no balcony, but has floor-to-ceiling views of the ocean. The only complaint that I had is that you could hear music playing at the pool quite late into the evening, and starting up again around 7:30 or 8 am in the morning. We had a great stay.
