Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina
- What's Included
After 7 days at sea we weren't ready to come home just yet so I suggested to my crew that we spend an extra day in Ft Lauderdale to enjoy the beach, the sights, the food, and the many night life locations it has to offer. I contacted the Ft Lauderdale Hilton Marina told them of our plans and they were more than willing to accommodate. They have such a fantastic property, centrally located on the Intercoastal Waterway providing excellent views of many beautiful yachts. But more importantly, their staff is outstanding! I just cannot compliment them enough for all of the help they provided to me in order to ensure my crew had a great time! I will return due to their personalized service they offered!!
Good value for the money! An older property but well cared for with great views and a friendly staff. Depending on which side of the tower rooms you stay in you get views of Port Everglades or downtown Ft Lauderdale in the distance. Just a few minutes to the beach over the 17 st. causeway bridge. Traffic permitting!
The location is perfect for the convention center and cruise port. However, the room isn't clean, the bathroom gross. The housekeeping is terrible.Towels smell bad.The website says they have room service. But, they don't.If you stay here bring disinfectant and towels.
Princess Cruises uses this hotel as a pre-cruise hotel stay and we found it to be very comfortable and convenient. We had a very good meal in lovely surroundings at the GBar which is right on the waterway.Breakfast was served at The Waterway restaurant. We had the continental breakfast. The hotel is in a great location close to the cruise terminal and airport. I needed a few things from Walgreens and it was a short walk from the hotel. The room was overlooking the pool and an even number. If you want to overlook the waterway you need to ask for an odd number waterway room. Now we know for next time.
Nice place to spend a night. Out side pool area was nice. They didn't have a hot tub along with it though. Nice walk around the marina. Breakfast was good but I just had a coupon for the continental breakfast. No eggs came with it. Nice room with a balcony on the Hilton Honors floor, Bed was comfortable for the most part. Two double beds in the room, not queen-size it appeared. I'm 6 foot and just fit into the bed it seemed. Glass top on the bed stand in between the beds could of been cleaned better. Seemed to have film or smears on it. Seems to be a pattern these days with countertops/table tops that are glass or marble. The TV had a lot of channels that was nice. I Think it was Direct TV. Couldn't find NBC Sports Channel, but found hockey on the USA Channel Room had a little refrigerator. Service at the breakfast restaurant was good. Smelled people smoking out by the poop area while I was swimming and didn't like that. Otherwise nice hanging out on a lounger under the palms by the pool. They had a hammock out there too. Wish I would of had more time to use it. It was nice seeing the big yachts parked around the marina and the drawbridge. It beats the Embassy Suites up the street.
