Run Away - Plenty of Better Choices Nearby

This hotel is a disgrace to the Hilton brand and reputation and despite multiple attempts to have them rectify problems they failed to follow up or respond repeatedly.There are fundamental issues of cleanliness, with mold growing in the rooms and the state of disrepair in rooms that smell and service that demonstrates a clear lack of concern or interest in the customer. I suspect that they receive regular bookings from people staging before and after cruises so they don't care what people think or experience - my advice, find any one of the many properties around and use them and vote with your wallet.The rooms were awful and the "view" of the marina was a view of overgrown trees. The room was filled with an unpleasant smell fo sewage, the mold growing in the bath was vile. The chipped glass on the light fittings, the toilet roll holder barely held to the wall and the dirty scuff marks everywhere was disturbing at best. Check out the photos of the decay evident throughout the propertyStaff was just plain unhelpful and oblivious to clear messaging that things were not right. They go through the motions (send me a rote text message welcoming me back and asking: "Can we do anything for you at this point?". Despite pointing my huge dissatisfaction I just received a one-word reply "Absolutely" and signed by a different name. I was asked for a rating of 1-10 after I checked out and I gave them a 1 - they were sorry to hear that and promised a manager would call me shortly - that was 2 days ago. This btw was after I checked out and suggested that they should have the manager call me and I was told "they would put something in the record... not wow, sorry to hear that what was wrong, is there anything I can do).It all adds up to a property that is in serious decline, staff that either doesn't care or are so tired of complaints and unsatisfied customers they have become immune to it all or are completely burnt out.

Convenient for a pre-cruise night

This is an older hotel, but the rooms have been renovated. Our room was on the 3rd floor in the tower with an oversized balcony facing the port. If you want to have views of the ships unimpeded by the bridge, then you need to be on a higher floor. Room was a good size with a king bed, nightstand, desk & chair, table & two side chairs, and chest of drawers. Bed was comfortable though not overly plush, however the pillows were rather terrible. Bathroom has a large glass walled shower. The annoying new design trend of no towel bars or hooks can be found here. My biggest complaint with our room was the noise from the adjoining room. I think the connecting door was the main culprit so I would definitely ask for a non-connecting room next time. Hotel is ideally located close to the port with all the shopping/dining options along 17th street.

Lovely hotel. Wish we had stayed longer

Stayed 1 night Friday 10th November before Cruise on 11th but wish we had arrived a few days earlier and spent more time here. Excellent location for Port Everglades. Booked online on Hilton own website Marina standard room King Bed. Opted for Water View Marina Tower King on eStandby Upgrade® request which provides upgrade if available at agreement to pay extra cost of in this case $30. We ended up in the upgraded room which was a large corner room with balcony on 2 sides. We overlooked pool and marina and also road and main port on the other side. Great room and views. Room 729. Joined Hilton Honors Loyalty scheme before booking. Got breakfast and wifi included. (We always join hotel loyalty schemes if free as usually get offers and better deals.) Transfer service offered at hotel to port at $6 per person but I left it too late to arrange and they couldn't offer us a transfer until after our check in time for cruise so we went to main entrance and a taxi was arranged for us straight away. This cost the same £12.

Pre cruise stay

Stayed at the Hilton Marina Fort Lauderdale night before our cruise. We picked this hotel because of the Hilton Brand. We were somewhat disappointed with the rooms. Location is good and the bar and breakfast is good but the rooms were dirty although the actual bed was clean, carpets were dirty and the room was very dusty. The safe didn't work in the room and the furnishings were very tired. I wouldn't recommend this Hotel to stay in. Very disappointed as we were expecting it to be much nicer especially as the location is great.

Could be better

The proximity to the conference center is great. There could be some upgrades/refurbishment to the hallways and rooms. There were ants in our bathroom. Would be nice if they had a hot tub, though the pool was nice. More people to clean up used/wet towels off the chairs by the pool would be great. You couldnt tell what seats were being saved.
