Hyatt Regency Pier 66
- What's Included
The hotel is large with several different building to stay in and that you must carry, or pull your own luggage through their outside activity grounds (pool, game area, etc) to get to your room. Now you also have to walk back through it all to go to their restaurant, bar, or opt for their pool bar. No complimentary coffee or beverages, and prices are extremely high. We ordered two lunch sandwiches and two alcoholic beverages our bill was over $80.00. Breakfast buffet cost $20.00 pp and with no buffet just menu order for 2-eggs, coffee, toast is $19.00 pp. The place is old and worn, and the entire overnight stay at this hotel was outrageous and not worth it. No I will not recommend staying here, nor will I ever return.
The foyer is a little dated but the service was fast and friendly. The bell boy banged the cart into the wall on the way to our room so many times that he dropped our suitcases off the side which I wasn't impressed with. The corridors to the garden rooms are outside which if you are dressed to go out keep in mind you will have to walk outside to get to reception in the heat. The room was large and spacious with a balcony overlooking the pool. The pool is fantastic and there is volleyball, croquet, chess, bean bag throwing and a few other games spread throughout the gardens near the pool, great for families with kids. The pool bar service was fantastic, we could have stayed there all night. Would definitely stay again, a special thanks to Justin at the pool for his recommendations on where to go locally and the cocktails!
A nice hotel with friendly staff. I had read a few bad reviews about this place but do not believe these, yes the rooms are slightly dated but everything else was great. Nice pool, choices of places to eat (would recommend the pelican for dinner and the pool bar for breakfast). We left 2 days early after great advice from the concierge about hurricane irma . We had a room overlooking the marina which was quiet . Location wise the beach is easily reachable via the sun trolley for a dollar. A very affordable hotel over the expensive beach front hotels. Hoping not too much damage has been done post irma 🙏.
Food at all the restaurants were amazing. Service at the pool and restaurants was great. Ricardo at the lobby bar/restaurant was awesome! He made us laugh and calmed our nerves about the incoming hurricane. The hotel also did a great job giving us the information we needed and helping us through the evacuation process. Thank you again for the great experience. My husband and I come to this resort at least one time a year and we always have an amazing experience!
This hotel and staff are fabulous but don't go on a labour weekend our room didn't get cleaned or serviced for 3 days! Unfortunately we were there for hurricane Irma when hotel was evacuated no help was given on where to go, we re from the UK and basically told to leave you are on your own!
