Hyatt Regency Pier 66
- What's Included
Stayed here for two nights pre cruise. We choose this hotel principally for it's location and ease of transfer to the cruise terminal. We stayed in a tower room. I have given a rating of very good. This is based on staff and location. The lobby and grounds are excellent but the rooms are woefully in need of refurbishment with shabby curtains and balcony furniture in particularWe opted to pay $26 dollars per person for buffet breakfast on both mornings. It was a little steep, but provided a good choice. Staff were helpful and attentive. We also ate in the lobby bar both evenings. Again, staff were excellent and helpful and food was of good quality. We paid for a cruise terminal transfer from the hotel which worked very well despite a major oil spillage at Port Everglades the night before our cruise ship docked.
I base myself at the Hyatt Regency whenever I'm in the area on business - as a Hyatt Globalist member I've always had excellent service here. This time was a little different. At checkin I was informed that my room (A suite upgrade) was not yet available and that I should leave my number to be contacted when it was ready. this was just after 2pm. At 3:30pm I went up to the reception and was given my room, nobody contacted me and for all I know the room could have been available for an hour already. The "suite" looked a lot like all other rooms I've had in the tower so I wonder if it was indeed a suite - the view was spectacular though. My particular room was right next to the service elevator and each morning the staff made quite a bit of noise coming out of the service area - add to that some relatively thin walls where you can hear your neighbor and it makes for interrupted sleep. In general the rooms are a little dated and need some modernization. Being. Globalist member the breakfast buffet is included, it's a great selection and very good quality so well worth taking the time to enjoy it. One major reason for choosing this hotel is the attached Pelican Landing bar/restaurant - consistently impressive food and a stunning location right on the intracoastal - we had a big team dinner there on one of the nights which was professionally managed by the manager Ben and Alex as our server, kudos. I'm sure I'll be back at this hotel in future.
My husband and I have been staying at the Pier 66 for yearly conferences. We have never been disappointed with the level of service we have received. The staff is great very courteous and the rooms very comfortable and clean.
Everything was great, the service, food and pool. I was there for a business conference and my whole stay was great, I will return. The only one concern that I had was that my member rewards doesn't appear to be credited to my stay. I hope that my rewards account can be properly credited.
Its promises need a real rebumping. Rooms are maintained but have not been updated in the last 20 years. Whoever looking for an old-days experience, this is the place!Parking lot is convinient as long as your room is located on the left space of the hotel. It pays walking around the marina
