Hyatt Regency Pier 66
- What's Included
We had friends spending the weekend at Hyatt Pier 66 to celebrate their anniversary and we wanted to surprise them with something send to their room. I called the concierge and David Ivy gladly helped me carry out the surprise. He was very pleasant and eager to help. I later got a text from our friends that the gift was in the room when they arrived and were So Surprised!
We came in to Ft. Lauderdale a day early and stayed here the night before a cruise. We arrived in the AM and several in our party were able to get their rooms right away. Our room wasn't ready until 4PM and was way on the other side of the pool area--which seemed a 1/2 mile away from the lobby--posted signs about how to get there the best way were missing. The pool area and pool restaurant were excellent--what a relaxing way to spend the day before a cruise. The hotel is situated on the water also and the marina with it's huge yachts was a wonderful place to walk thru. This hotel has everything to do: watersports, a chess board on the lawn, kids play areas, lawn games--EVERYTHING--you could stay here for several days and be entertained just staying in the hotel. We got the cruise and snooze package which included a shuttle to the cruise line and breakfast. Apparently the number 66 is a big part of his hotel--the top of the tower rotates once every 66 minutes, there are 66 rooms on each side of the pool, etc.Would highly recommend staying at this hotel--definitely recommend letting the desk know if you are mobility impaired so you are given a room close to the lobby.
Lobby was very nice we thought hotel was too, we were placed in motel style building adjacent to marina, room was dirty and shabby fixtures old. Not sure what the tower was like. Very pleasant staff wish the hotel would get an upgrade since there is so much potential.
We love this hotel and stay there every time we cruise. The views are gorgeous and the price is right and the staff is excellent. There are several restaurants to choose from there is a Marina view you can see your ship from your hotel room
We chose this hotel because it is close to the cruise terminal. In my opinion, it is overpriced, but one is paying for the location of being within walking distance from the beach and a $7 shuttle to the cruise terminal (or $20 taxi ride). The room we had was average. There was nothing outstanding about it. We enjoyed the outdoor pool available to guests and the beautiful, lush landscape of the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to someone who needs a place to stay before boarding a cruise.
