Hyatt Regency Pier 66
- What's Included
This hotel is definitely nothing to write home about, but it's not bad by any means. Pretty old and a really weird layout that has you walking for a while to get to your room. Our room was fine, but you could tell it was super dated. The beds are comfy though. The pool area is on the smaller side, and there was virtually no poolside service. I saw 1 or 2 waiters serving people but I eventually gave up and just went to order my own ($12) drink. This is more of a hotel than a resort, so make sure you have things to do in Ft. Lauderdale or you might be a tad bored. If I'm back in FLL, I'll try to get somewhere closer to the beach.
My family has planned a trip since May 2017. My brother in law received an email from the hotel that it will be closed on the dates we booked. I booked thru a 3rd party site: Amona.com I called the hotel and they told me I couldn't cancel thru them and I had to call Amona to get my refund of $210.00 USD. I was on hold for almost 1 hour. Then decided to use Amona's website too cancel. I received an email confirmation of the cancellation and a refund of $150.00 USD would be on my card in a couple of weeks. I told them my charge was $210 USD and the email noted that they did not receive notice that the hotel is closed. Maria P, Guest Relations Manager at Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six: will your staff notify this company so I and perhaps others will get their full refund. Thank you Katherine Canlas
We attend a conference each year in the Fort Lauderdale area and each year we stay at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66. The location is very convenient, the rooms are lovely and the staff members are friendly and very accommodating.
We got setup their finest ADA room which we paid a premium beach view for. its actually the worst a/c roof view ever. The staff likely has high turnover (doesn't last very long).I wanted to say nice things, but I just don't have allot of things to say when the customer service is awful and they did little to fix the problems
Hyatt just informed me that my bookings done with 2 moths in advance were cancelled, just like that. First they send me a message that the hotel was sold but they were going to honor my reservation until October 12. Suddenly they just send another mail saying that because of “Irma” they just decided to cancelled. I guess this is hyatt. Never in my life will go to a hyatt again. Now I have to pay much more to go to another hotel.
