Hyatt Regency Pier 66
- What's Included
Staff was friendly enough but as this was my first stay at a Hyatt not sure what to expect. My room was decent it was all tiled which i guess is good if you are at the beach but this was at a pier so shouldnt be worried about sand. I had a view of the pier which was a big yacht outside my window. when i arrived in my room after checking in my windows were open (not the shades but the actual windows). Had an issue with some ants not sure if it was because my windows were open on that first day but i put that trash can they were attracted to outside of my front door. The day i spent at the pool was nice, the pool was clean. my only complaint was that the waiter didnt come give me a menu until about 50 minutes after i got in my chair. other people that came after me near me received his attention but only until i finally made eye contact did he come over. Again wasn't blown away and for the price i expected more.
I was there for a reunion and was quite impressed with the service and the food. My room was large, clean and comfortable. While not the most luxurious place I've ever stayed it was quite nice and I have no complaints. The fact that all rooms have a balcony is definitely a plus (Rm. #1063). My view was nice, I faced west towards the Stranahan River (will post photos), the city of Ft. Lauderdale and the marina. You could also see the hotel pool. My friend who was on the other side of the building (Rm. 960) had a fabulous view -- from her room, she could see the ocean. While there I had a meal in all of the four hotel restaurants. Not once did I have a bad or even mediocre meal. The food was excellent and the drinks were not watered down. All in all I have to say it was a wonderful stay. The facilities were good, but will need some updating soon. We heard from a bellman that the hotel had been sold in January of 2017 and that the new owners have plans to improve the property. I highly recommend the Hyatt Regency Pier 66!
All the employees were extremely professional and proactive! A special THANK YOU note to GARTH who was very helpful to find my packages. He is a great person. You should be proud of having him as an employee. Regards,Fiona Schuster
I felt like I was at a resort. The grounds were beautiful and meticulously kept. Rooms and bathrooms were spacious and modern. Recommend the marina with pool view rooms...just step out your door into the tropical oasis of the pool area.
We had a family reunion there this week. If you stay here, stay in the Tower! They are slightly over priced at this location but they are better than the Marina Rooms. The marina rooms aren't that great. The housekeeper never changed my sheets, and yes I have photos. She only made the bed up neatly daily. I reported this to the night and day staff and no one cared. They noted that I was a member and asked that I complete the survey, they also gave me a card to call to complain, and that was it. Besides that they were very accommodating If I needed a microwave, or anything like that. Don't let my review steer you, experience it for yourself, but I probably will not be staying at this location again. There are millions of other Hyatts that Trump this one!
