Il Lugano Suite Hotel
- What's Included
Had a deluxe studio - kitchen, living room and comfortable bed. Easy access to beach and restaurants (a little bit of a walk - 10 minutes) - it is on the intercoastal so not quite facing the seashore. Room rates were reasonable. Only 3 hr meter parking till 11 pm and starts at 8 am and they are quite strict about ticketing - can be a pain but if you do not mind feeding the meter, it is recommended. Breakfast was ok. Overall, I would stay here again depending on the purpose of the trip to the Miami / Fort Lauderdale area.
This is your regular Residence Inn (mini-kitchen, living/dining area, sleeping area). My suite over-looked the Intracoastal and had a nice balcony with table for 4. The hotel has a nice pool / deck area, but is also a short walk to the beach. Note that this hotel is and the north-end of the beach (closer to Lauderdale-by-the-Sea and the main beach south of Sunrise. Typical (very basic) breakfast included, but it was fine for my needs. Valet parking only, but worth it for convenience. Each suite includes a stacked washer/dryer (no charge) which makes taking care of laundry when traveling a breeze. My only complaint is that they tried to save money and rather than having the microwave mounted it is sitting on the small counter blocking the electrical outlet and the switch for the garbage disposal. To use the toaster you have to move the microwave to the dining table! There is also no desk so you many need an extension cord to work at the table.
For the price of an ocean view room fire one night at this place, you could spend a week at an awesome beach front resort, your room will have bathrobes!(hello!), an awesome breakfast buffet which pots this one to shame, full commentary toiletries, etc..a little over priced in my opinion..the staff are great, but..
This hotel was booked by mistake and probably a good thing! The service is absolutely great. Breakfast is served till 9.30 and diverse enough for me to enjoy after a few days. Rooms are bright and clean. There is a fridge in the room and believe it or not we had a washing machine and dryer in the room. The blessings of clean clothing in my suitcase !!Honestly one of the best accommodations we ever booked and instead of going to our regular hotel we now book Lugano. We usually ask for a room on the 6th floor so we can see more of the boats cruising through the canal while sitting on our balcony. Oh and the beds!! I just sleep like a baby!Great hotel!!
we stayed one night before our cruise. Loved it!!!. Everything in room was clean and it was handy having the washer and dryer. We loved the balcony and we loved the location. We had dinner at the bar beside the hotel and breakfast was excellent in the morning at the hotel and all included in the price. We took a shuttle to the hotel after arriving at airport It is the cheapest way to get there. We took a taxi to the cruise ship which almost cost twice as much. But we are still grateful for the doorman making sure taxi was ready for us when we ready to go to the cruiseship. We stayed at a expensive hotel in Hollywood area last time and so disappointed in service. We didn't even have a bathroom door. This room even had a separate door for the toilet. We plan again to stay at this hotel next time as we loved it. We also did a bike ride to fort Lauderdale by the sea also recommended by the great doorman and recommended this to us as the other way would have a lot of traffic as boat show in town. We felt so looked after.
