Sanitized

Poor Holiday Isle wiped clean. No Run Runners. No Tiki Bar. Just typical of any town any hotel with a Beach. So sad. But hey the bathrooms are clean now. And there is nobody there. So if looking for quiet away from the madness this might just be the place only if you don't remember before.....

Spring Break has never been any better!

What a beautiful place! Small enough to reach every amenity the place offers in a one-minute walk, but with so many amenities! We ate at one of the restaurants (Ciao Hound) twice, had drinks at one of the bars once and at Starbucks twice; went Kayaking, played Cornhole, sat in great lounge chairs on the beach, watched a movie on the beach, and swam in the pool. We loved the Postcard Inn and if we ever go to the Keys again, we will probably stay here. we arrived on a Wednesday for a full week's stay, and the first couple of days were wonderful. The resort was not too crowded, and the music in the evening was from a solo guitarist doing lots of '70's era pop music. That changed by Friday night. The only objection we had was that on several of the nights, there was loud music from the bar area until midnight. We are not into the bar scene and our room was very close to both bars. It was also the beginning of the spring break season and there were lots of students arriving, with lots of drinking and pretty loud, foul language, and lots of skin. All that to say, with two young teenage boys who are very impressionable, we decided to get off-site frequently in order to get them out of the environment. We had a few minor issues in the room -- blown lightbulbs, electrical outlets that didn't function, television on the fritz. Maintenance arrived soon after we reported these things, even though it was quite late in the evening, and what he couldn't fix then, he took care of the next morning. After the weekend, things calmed down again a bit, and we played games on the beach and enjoyed the sun. All-in-all, this was a great place for our family.

Great time at PCI.

Our family of 5 spent 3 nights at the Postcard Inn over spring break and really enjoyed it. Our room, which was recently updated and looked great, overlooked the beach area and ocean. The beds were very comfortable and must have been new. A big plus is the number of activities that are included in the resort fee - bikes, kayaks, paddle boards, etc... There is construction happening on one of the buildings but we didn't really notice. Would definitely stay again.

Loved everything EXCEPT for one really annoying thing

We stayed here for three nights. I booked a king oceanfront. The pros - love the location in Islamorada, lots of amenities - salt water pool, beach (that's accessible), kayaks/paddle boards (included in your $25 daily resort fee), water trampoline, bikes; great pool bar and onsite restaurant; Starbucks in the same parking lot. The people are very friendly. They are pet friendly and kid friendly (games, pool toys, etc) to keep the little ones occupied. Cons - their two onsite restaurants mean that non hotel guests are present. There are signs that say the beach area are only for hotel guests but it didn't seem like they were actively enforcing it. My biggest and only issue was that we received a handicap accessible room which had no counter top in the bathroom and because of how the shower was set up - every time you took a shower you got water all over the floor. I didn't necessarily mind the fact that we had an ADA room but The fact that there was no counter top in the bathroom to place our things was incredibly annoying especially when I paid $400 a night. I ended up bringing in a plastic table from our balcony to use in the bathroom. (See the attached pic). When I called to be moved they didn't have any rooms available and the only option was to get moved the next day to a room with two queen beds. Other things to note - this is a kid friendly place so if you're looking for peace and quiet especially by the pool you won't get it. Prices for food and drink are about what you'd expect in the Keys. They do have a daily HH but they don't necessarily advertise it.
