Postcard Inn Beach Resort And Marina
- What's Included
Overall a great stay at the Postcard Inn.Started out with the elevator being down and having to use the stairs. The front desk tried to contact us before arriving to let us know. Offered a big discount on the room which made the stay that much nicer! We booked a oceanfront king suite. The room was large and clean. Had a microwave and mini refrig, pull out sofa, and narrow lanai. Plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 teens.Plenty of activities for the kids but no organized games while we were there. Unfortunately it was very windy while we were there so couldn't do many of the activities. Theater by the sea, next-door, was good for a few hours of entertainment. If you want to do the dolphin experience book in advance. The restaurants and bars at the resort were way understaffed. The staff was nice enough but just not enough of them during high season. Drinks were pricey and just not as good as I remember from Holiday Isle. No problems with excessive noise as some posted but we were there midweek.Food was decent. Ciao Hound was great.Ordered pizzas to go for movie night on the beach. Best of all is Starbucks in the parking lot!! Everything you need is right there!
To start on a positive note, the location of this hotel is beautiful and the food is great if you don't mind waiting about an hour for it. My husband and I booked the new King, beachfront cottage and loved the isolation and view, but the walls are thin so you do hear everything! The Jetski staff and bar staff were awesome too! Very friendly! Our favorite thing was taking the jet ski tour!! Those guys are full of energy and lead a great tour! So fun! On the other hand, our problems ranged from little problems like not having towel hooks in the bathroom to huge problems like nasty sheets..We were awoken on our first morning at 5am by the alarm clock in the room next to us (Which was empty). It wasn't going off so when we called the front desk they told us no one was available until 9am to turn it off... so needless to say, it was a rough start to a "relaxing" vacation. On top of that, no one ever came and corrected the issue so we had to ask again later that day. The following morning at 6am, one of the workers must have scrambled in there to turn it off and then proceeded to bang around and even jiggled the connecting door to our room!! Talk about a wake up call! So 2 out of our 4 days of "sleeping in" were ruined.. In addition to that, we noticed that our room was not being "serviced" so on the 2nd day I called the front desk to ask for clean towels and they said I had to wait until the service staff had made their rounds which is thru 4:30pm in the afternoon. We didn't mind waiting, but then no one ever came, and it was again too late! So on day 3 of our trip, our room was finally cleaned and re-stocked, but when we got back to our room at about 11pm that night, we noticed the white sheets were stained with what looked like blood in two spots and also ripped right in the middle. I attached pics! It grossed us out so bad that we laid a towel down over it so we could sleep, because it was too late for anyone to come change our sheets. So gross! And lastly, we paid a $25 resort fee each day to use paddleboards, kayaks, etc. Every day we asked to use these and were told no because of wind or potential weather... and every day it was beautiful and sunny! We noticed that the hotels (one of which PCI owns) was using their kayaks/paddle boards so when we questioned that the front desk told us "just to go over there". We went to other hotels and rented their equipment and had a blast!! It was just super disappointing to know you are not getting what you pay for. After reaching out to management, they assisted us in making things right and refunded some of our money. I appreciated their assistance, but the corrections were not made until after our trip was over. We hope to visit the keys again soon, but may check out other hotels in the area first. We also made a day trip to key west and I highly recommend it!! so fun!
On route from Key West back to Orlando , we spent one overnight in the Postcard Inn,This is a lovely location and offers all amenities to beach & pool ,Children well catered for ,and the swimming area appears very safe .
My friends and I decided to stay at Postcard Inn for the Holiday weekend. The check in was fast and the staff was very friendly. They upgraded our room with a marina view for free. We arrived about 2 hours before check in and our room was already ready for us no waiting. The resort has the famous Tiki Bar which is great. If you have kids this is also a great hotel included in the stay was a free water tampoline, water toys, snorkeling gear that kids the kids busy. for breakfast we ate at the resort the plates are huge easy to share if you want. Highly recommend a stay here if if your looking for both relaxation and keeping the kids happy at the same time.
This wasn't our first trip to the Post Card Inn. PCI has become our favorite summer getaway hideout. We've been coming for the past 3 years. We noticed this visit that some of the familiar faces were gone, like the guy who was in charge of the paddle boards and stuff and my husbands favorite bartender at the swim up bar by the pool. So we were a little worried that things changed.Things changed for the better! I love that guests can use the paddle boards, kayaks, & snorkels/masks for no additional charge. I also love BINGO by the pool. The ginger that was running it was friendly and funny. And the fact that free drink tickets were a prize for winning was a bonus. The ginger worked very hard to keep guests happy and engaged. (I'm really sorry I didn't get his name!) All the guys working the towels and boards were super nice and helpful. You want to know where to get pizza, ask them! Our room was clean and had plenty of towels for our family each day. My only major complaint is the noise. Our door was directly next to the neighbor's and we could hear them coming and going all night long. It's also very easy for people to walk in and enjoy the beach and pool even though there's a sign stating for resort guests only. They really need to step up removing the non resort guests. There were so many this trip and not as many staff to patrol the area. Post Card Inn has everything we needed to relax and unwind.
