Overview
The Aqua Waikiki Pearl recently completed a full hotel renovation and now features 135 freshly upgraded, spacious rooms. With the amazing transformation of this central Waikiki boutique hotel came a new name and fabulous new amenities, such as a friendly full-service concierge and private en-suite lanais. The rooms are some of the biggest in Waikiki; the one bedroom suites are a roomy 720 square feet of pure elegance, while the city view rooms are a comfortable 450 square feet. Take a few steps from the hotel and relax on Waikiki Beach, shop in the maze that is the International Marketplace, or party on Lewers Street.

Location: Central Waikiki, near the International Marketplace and two blocks from Waikiki beach.

Worst hotel eve

Dirty, stained carpet , my arm actually stuck to the couch (horrible disgusting), loud music in the next room until 5:15 in the morning, we were booked in for 5 days but moved out after one night the kids were scared, I travel a lot with work and holidays and have never stayed in anything like it, 3.5 stars a joke, don’t stay here

Disgusting!!

Images shown on Facebook etc are only certain types of rooms and they don’t tell you this when you look at their fb page. Room with a city view is actually one of their carpark. Room is old, dingy and dodgy. Air con rattles and is rusted all over, mould and gunk in bathroom, electrical cords taped over and beds hard as rocks. Asked to move rooms and was told I had booked the wrong room and it was my fault I had used a travel agent even though I was guided by images on social media for a city view room. A city view room on their Facebook page consists of a lanai and views of Waikiki but yet we were given a room with a carpark view. Also I was insulted being told I didn’t know how hotel and booking sites work, yet didn’t acknowledge till the very end that he will let marketing team know of my feedback. Paying $21 for a towel per day for their ammenity fee was deplorable compared to what you receive elsewhere. Have a look at the images and make up your own mind. We left and found alternative accomodation which was cheaper, included the room on the 43rd floor, mini golf, yoga classes, gym and pool etc with a higher level of cleanliness along with newer amenities.

Best value, best staff, best staycation ever!

Great location, comfortable hotel, I will choose to stay here again. Front desk staff were very helpful. Very affordable. So close to great shopping and beach activities. It was nice not having to deal with the big hotel scene and crowded lobbies.

Basic Hotel

This is a basic hotel with very few amenities but if you are just looking for a place to sleep then you could do worse. We had a really large room on the top floor with a large balcony that looked out onto the city. Room was starting to look a little worn but was one of the cheaper options by far in Waikiki at the time we stayed. Service at the front desk was not friendly but efficient and the location of the hotel is a 5 min walk through the international marketplace to the beach. Just off Kuhio Ave

Low price, excellent location!

I had a 1.5 day layover in Honolulu, so I was looking for a cheap hotel, preferably near the beach. Not sure how I found this one, through TripAdvisor or Hotels.com, but the price was right and the location is EXCELLENT! I cannot believe it is such a low price and so near the beach, only 2 blocks away. MANY restaurants and shops in the area, since it is in the heart of Waikiki. One drawback was that we had to take a shuttle from the airport, which was $64 RT for 2. Oh well! I could have stayed near the airport with free shuttle but would not have the beach access. The room was a King, and actually a pretty large room. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Room includes coffee maker and refrigerator. The TV was nice, but we could not get the free dvd player to work. Not a big deal. The bathroom was average sized and the shower was OK, not bad but nothing special. My only complaint would be the thin glass of the large room window which looks out to a parking lot courtyard. We had to sleep with earplugs from the voices we could hear from across the way. Not really a deal-breaker for me, but kind of annoying. The balcony is not private, but stretches the length of the hotel, with outside room doors.
