Aston Waikiki Circle Hotel
- What's Included
My family and I stayed for a week in Waikiki. We stayed at the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel. My families first time, I have been there many times. You can't get any closer to the beach. The hotel has seen better days but was great for the price. The elevators take a while to get used to. The rooms are standard, cramped size. No microwave. The shower curtains smelled of mold and the towel rack was falling off the wall. This hotel is at the end of the Kalakau strip and across the street from the zoo. The double decker bus, Pink Line, has a stop right out front of the hotel. I would consider another stay here if the price is right.
This was one of the worst hotels we ever stayed at. The only good things I can say about this hotel is the location and the very helpful staff only on Saturday Dec. 16, the rest of the staff was not very helpful or friendly. The rooms are very small, the beds are uncomfortable, they don't have ice machines on each floor you have to go down to the front desk to get ice. There was not enough parking, so we had to park at different hotel a few blocks away, that only took cash. Their is a $25 a night resort fee, I am not sure what for? Also don't go to the "activities desk" to book any trips or transportation the staff their does not have your best interest at heart, they are selling overpriced trips and if you tell them no they will literally become hostile with you.
Stayed here one night after staying on the North Shore for two weeks. The hotel has an amazing view of the beach. We were on 9th floor. The room was quite good for cost and position. The staff were very nice and parking was right next to check in. There was a lot of noise from traffic as Kalakaua Ave is the main street on beach front. There was also a lot of noise from the park across the road. There was one homeless guy who whistled constantly and the rest of the squatters kept telling him to be quite. The hotel next door has renos going on so builders were there a 7am to start. Also there was inconsiderate people returning late at night banging doors and talking quite loud. I think if the hotel upgraded their windows/doors to double glazing it would help with the noise.d
We just arrived home from a week at the Circle!!! We loved it!!You are 2 minutes from your room to the very beautiful sandy beach with clean warm wonderful water....what more can you ask for!!!Yes the rooms are a little small but they are clean, comfortable and the views are absolutely amazing!!!!The hotel is small, friendly, has a great vibe and the customer service is second to nobody...You can grab a coffee at the McDonald’s right next door and be back in your room watching the sunrise and all the early morning surfers within 5 minutes. You are right in the middle of all the excitement in Waikiki surrounded by stores and places to eat...All I can say is that if you are looking for great great value in a simple, fun, clean, friendly hotel you could not look for a more wonderful place to spend a week in Waikiki than the Circle!!!Also a big thank you to the Goddess.....ask fir a room with an ocean view!!We miss you already!!!
When we go to Oahu, we always stay at the Circle Hotel. The prices are always low/reasonable, the staff is always nice/personable, and the rooms are always clean/modern. I remember one year we stayed there over christmas and they gifted each guest's room with beautiful Hawaiian scene painted on a porcelain round xmas tree ornament, which they put in a blue organza pouch and hung on our door to find xmas morning. It was so special and I still cherish it. Yes, the rooms are on the smaller side, but thats okay if you are just traveling with one other person or alone. The main reason we love this place is because of the lightening fast proximity to the beach and Kalakaua Ave. Get on the elevator and BOOM you're there...Love that there is ZERO drama going from our room to Waikiki beach in less than 5 mins. They have a small underground parking garage, so if you do rent a car, its super easy access to get in and out with ease.
