Aston Waikiki Circle Hotel
- What's Included
I stayed here many years ago and found the hotel OK. The rooms were refurbished about two years ago and are now fantastic. Beds are very comfortable and the views cannot be beaten. The room is well appointed and although small, who stays in their room all day while on holiday in Hawaii. The only down side of the room is the small shower stall. In saying that, there is sufficient room for a decent shower without feeling clostraphobic. The staff at check in are also very friendly and offer any assistance you may require. Highly recommended. I would stay here again in a heart beat.
We have stayed here twice and it is always excellent. The view is amazing. Our stay this time coincided with Halloween and our balcony was the perfect vantage point to watch the parade of people in their costumes on Kalakaua Avenue. We will be staying there again next year.
We stayed here for two nights before embarking on a cruise around the Islands and then four nights on our return a week later. We had originally booked a partial ocean view but on arrival were able to be upgraded to an ocean front room which was definitely worth it!The room itself was spotless but small-ish, which was perfectly adequate for the two of us, and had a stunning view of the beach. Very easy to grab some ice from reception and enjoy a drink on the balcony watching those amazing sunsets. We also appreciated the drip filter coffee provided and the fast wifi.Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, from asking for a beach towel to getting directions and local knowledge. The Goddess in particular is a fantastic ambassador, not just for the hotel but for Honolulu.Shawn and Jan were also very friendly and helpful, making the check-in and check-out process a breeze. To summarise - a charming place to stay with its own history and the perfect location!
The ocean front views are worth the extra money if you want a better view, but the hotel itself is average. We don't mind small spaces, but these rooms are small and poorly designed. The laminated hallways lead for loud noises when inconsiderate people decide everyone else must hear what's on their mind. The best thing about this place is it's location to the seawalls for some easy swimming. The amenity fee and overall cost does not make this a place worth staying unless you really need to see the ocean and don't mind staying in a bare bones place to do so.The hotel prices are crazy in Waikiki and continue to rise, so if this is the best option available in your budget, it's not too bad as long as your expectations are keep low.
We ended up at this hotel after trying an airbnb for one night and let me tell you what a wonderful hotel this is.The location is amazing and the price is great! It is located right downtown Wakiki and within walking distance to everything! You cross the street and bam! you are at the beach! The staff is wonderful and the rooms are clean and beds are very comfortable!Next time I'm in Honolulu I am definitely staying at the little jewel of a hotel!Nice, nice place!!
