Our Opinion

A good 3 star resort, not too far from the beach. Rooms have separate bedrooms and full kitchens.

This condominium resort is located on the Diamond Head side of Waikiki, just a 5 minute walk to Waikiki Beach and Kapiolani Park. Enjoy the comforts of home in 1 and 2 bedroom condos set in a residential neighbourhood. An excellent choice for families.

Location: In Waikiki, 10-minute walk to the beach and Honolulu Zoo, 15km from Honolulu Int'l Airport.

Good family rooms

We had a one bedroom unit facing the canal with a full kitchen.We had 2 kids and 2 adults in our party, we had the kids in the bedroom with two beds and the adults shared the sofa bed in the lounge. The sofa bed is pretty uncomfortable and noisy with springs etc, so we put the mattress on the floor which was better. The kitchen is great though.The unit was clean and had a daily service. Nice coffee. And good wifi in room, which worked well.I think the resort fee is too much though.

Our Christmas vacation ruined by missing jewelry

We stayed at the Waikiki Sunset from 12-19-16 to 12-29-16 during our annual vacation, I would say that the room we were assigned was ok, for the most part the maid assigned to our room did provide good service, always had towels and coffee. Two days before we were scheduled to check out, my daughter placed jewelry in the top kitchen drawer on the bar prior to going to the beach for safe keeping, these were sentimental gifts given to her. When we arrived back to the room later, she went to retrieve the jewelry which was a limited edition necklace and a ring, they were no where in sight. We immediately walked down to the front desk and spoke to them, they gave us a form to complete and told us someone would be contacting us. We were told that the maid assigned to our room was assigned to another floor and we could tell by the room service that day, it was not done by the normal maid. Heidi called us the next day and came up to our room and wanted to see where my daughter placed her jewelry and also talked to us, she stated this would be submitted to their insurance. Stated they had a process where they interrogate and see who might have entered the room while we were gone. almost a week after we arrived back home, I was finally able to reach Heidi who stated that our claim was denied based on their investigation. This is unacceptable, we should be able to trust that our belongings will not be disturbed, instead they feel that the jewelry might have jumped out of the closed drawer into the garbage? really? Very very disappointed, we have stayed in numerous hotels in Waikiki and never had this happen. We also encountered a very rude front desk male person, did not get his name but he was extremely rude, those types of personalities should not be placed to work directly with the public.

Christmas Break

We arrived expecting something on the nice side from the view of the pictures online. Our carpets were stained, our walls had stains and hair on them, our bathroom had mildew on the ceiling, and the hallways were dirty. We were asked to forego housekeeping to accommodate the need to clean rooms of those checking out one day. Our room appeared to never be fully cleaned. Beds were made, but we were short towels for the majority of the time although we asked several times. I believe from the looks of it, we were lucky to have our room vacuumed one time within the lengthy stay. We were rather disappointed in the quality for the price we paid, and we witnessed some of the front desk staff being rude to customers. On the plus side, we were within walking distance to the beach and the shopping.

My wife, son and I along with another family stayed here based on info from our travel agent. We booked several months ago so expected to at least be on the same floor if not next to each other, were not. We asked when we arrived and the lady said it is sometimes hard to do based on occupancy but she would try to make arrangements for us. It never happened. The carpet in the room is so old and filthy and old if you wear white socks they become black. The maids don't even vacuum it. The pull out couch is so old and squeaky, very uncomfortable. Those are the good points! The people at the front desk are so unfriendly, you hate to go there and ask for change to do your laundry. Seriously, they are awful but the worst is Brandon. I cannot imagine being in customer service with such a hate for people, especially the women he came in contact with, he was very nasty. It took us four days before we could function in the city because there was no one you could ask questions. I could not recommend this place to anyone.

Great family accommodation just on the fringe of Waikiki busyness

This two bedroom apartment was clean and comfortable for our family of 4. We had all amenities and daily maid service. Kitchen was well equipped if you wanted to eat in. Fabulous views over Diamond Head. Staff were friendly and any requests were dealt with promptly. Great location on the edge of Waikiki. Five minute walk to beach and 10-12 minutes to the heart of the action! Loved it!
