Embassy Suites Waikiki Beach Walk
- What's Included
We had 8 days jere with 4 adults and 4 kids staying in 2 rooms. It's a great family place and the kids were in the pool everyday and it's also very close to a nice part of Waikiki Beach where we hired canoes and other equipment for the kids. The included breakfast and free cocktail reception each night really saves you a heap of money and staff were very helpful with booking tours and the like. The only negative I'd point out was we agreed to do the Hilton timeshare presentation which was supposed to be 90 minutes long and they picked us up over half an hour late and then were very aggressive when we told them we had other commitments after already allowing them an extra hour of our time. I'd avoid the timeshare presentation as when I ran the numbers myself it worked out to be an expensive fort.
We celebrated my wife's birthday and our anniversary at the Embassy Suites Waikiki this September and could not be happier with this location. Service is top flight and the location is superb if you enjoy being near the beach and have access to awesome dining and shopping options. The custom breakfast is another great reason to stay here. Cheers and Aloha!
This hotel is not a 5 star luxury accommodation but the location is really handy. pretty much in the Waikiki beach walk zone so downstairs and you are in amongst it. not noisy either. complimentary breakfast - not the nicest food but able to find something in there. pool is a bit of a let down - very small and not deep and just heaps of kids in it. we did receive a complimentary upgrade to a 2 bedroom suite on our return to the hotel which we really appreciated! we found it strange that there were no cups or utensils of any sort in the hotel suite -just to have a cuppa or a snack (even though there is a jug). Maybe it's an American thing?
I was pleasantly surprised to learn that a Waikiki hotel offered a full breakfast and nightly happy hour, just as the Embassy Suites on the mainland do. The location is very good. Although not immediately next to the beach, it is a short walk across the street. I also love the proximity to the various Waikiki shops and restaurants, as well as close access to Fort DeRussy and the Hale Kia Hotel (especially beneficial for military members and their dependents, with a small px/shopette, restaurants, and discounted parking for those with a military ID). The suite was well appointed, with two rooms. The room needed a deep cleaning and could have used more attention to detail by the housekeeping staff. All in all, my experience there was very good.
A different kind of Embassy Suites. Two towers, 21 floors and an open air lobby and dining area. Located one block from the ocean right next to the Trump tower. Beautiful pool area. We upgraded to an ocean view corner room and it was really nice. Two balconies, one off of the living room and one off of the bedroom. This proved to be an ideal location to watch the spectacular fire works at the Hawaiian Village on Friday night. One advantage with the Embassy is that there is no resort fee. Most of the resort hotels in the area do have a resort fee of about $40. Parking is valet only and it costs $38 per day which is pretty standard for the area. The breakfast buffet is pretty normal for an Embassy with a few Asian selections added for the many Japanese tourists. The evening manager's reception will be familiar to those who have stayed at other Embassy Suites hotels.
