Embassy Suites Waikiki Beach Walk
- What's Included
My family and I had an excellent stay at Embassy Suites in Waikiki Beach. The hotel is located centrally to all activities on the island, and transportation was provided for all activities in which we engaged. The front desk attendant, Cindy, was incredibly sweet and welcoming. Her smile and personality were simply infectious. In addition, the concierge, Ross, was so kind and good at his job. He found the perfect activities for my family and continually checked in with us to ensure we were satisfied with our experiences. Both Cindy and Ross made our quick trip to Waikiki Beach one in which we will always remember!
We have stayed here on previous occasions and will continue to in the future. Hotel & Suites are immaculate. Staff are friendly and will always greet you. Location is a few blocks from the International Market place in a quite section of Waikiki near Ft De Russy and across the road from the beach. Embassy Suites exceeds all your expectations which draws you back each time you return to Waikiki.
My family stayed here for one night prior to going to our resort timeshare. The hotel has a great location. The service was excellent. We arrived late evening around 10:00 pm. The staff offered us drinks and helped us check in efficiently. I had pre-ordered some food items for the room and they were nicely displayed in the room and the refrigerator. The rooms were nice, a bit smaller compared to other Embassy Suites but they were clean and well managed. I would definitely recommend this hotel for families traveling with kids who want to stay close to the beach and other attractions downtown. The staff was very helpful and even was able to accommodate a later check-out for me and my family. The breakfast was good and the food was fresh. The staff was friendly and very helpful.
The service here is amazing from the concierge to the room service. The rooms are very clean and spacious. Fit us perfectly for a family of 5. I love the fact that they don't charge a service fee when checking in and they provide free wifi throughout the hotel and complementary breakfast daily. A very generous hotel. Will be staying here again if I come back to Hawaii. Central to everything and very easy to access shopping, restaurants and beach.
We traveled to Waikiki for 16 days and stayed at this hotel. Usually we prefer to stay near the canal to avoid the busyness of Kalakahua Ave and surrounding area. However, the hotel was perfect in that we could not hear any outside noise once we were in our room. The air conditioning is loud and if you are a light sleeper you may want to consider ear plugs. The beds are comfortable though I would say the pillows could use an upgrade. I can sleep well regardless of pillows but the 8 pillows supplied in the room were getting old and felt lumpy. Location is very close to the beach and close to the shops and stores in Waikiki. My mother in law traveled with us and she does not wander far. However, because we were so close to restaurants and stores she was able to get out on her own and access the shops and stores she was interested in.Housekeeping was very good (Jin Un was the best) and with the exception of one day with a different individual cleaning our room we were very satisfied. A clean room is my number one priority when booking accommodation. We booked a one bedroom suite which suited us perfectly as either my husband or I had work to do some evenings. One of us would work in the sitting area while the other could relax or go to sleep in the separate bedroom. We chose Embassy Suites for two reasons: no resort fee and the complimentary breakfast. Breakfast was great! There was a very wide assortment of breakfast items which means that anyone from small children to adults can find something to eat. The only suggestion I would make is that there were no gluten free options for those who are celiac, though there was plenty of fruit, omelets made to order, and hard/soft boiled eggs could be requested. I would also love to see hotels offering whole grain breads, english muffins, etc., rather than the while breads that are always offered. The fitness centre had a good assortment of equipment (cardio and free weights). If there were more than 2 or 3 people working out at one time it became a bit crowded and hot! Despite a request to turn down the temperature, it was ignored and stayed at 72 degrees F. Whoever is in charge of the fitness centre should know that a cooler temperature is a must for a fitness room - especially with the small size and number of people who may be using it at one time. Each night free drinks and snacks were offered from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm on the grand lanai. On M W F there was live entertainment which we thoroughly enjoyed. The snacks were basic but were much appreciated by everyone from the looks of all those guests who were present each evening.I would definitely recommend this hotel. It's not cheap but we felt that we definitely got our money's worth.
