Holiday Inn Waikiki Beachcomber Resort
- What's Included
We stayed in Holiday Inn Beachcomber for a week during our visit in Hawaii. It was a decent place but I was very unhappy with the showers because as a family of four we expected that there would've been enough water for all of us. Another thing is the parking price is extremely overprice. I mean, if it was twenty something dollars I would've been able to accept that but $38 (overnight)?! However, this hotel was very close to many restaurant and is also right next to all the malls.
We stayed in a Junior Suite in June. The hotel is in a perfect location and our room was a decent size for 4 people. We also had great ocean views from our room. The hotel was very busy and housekeeping was always late (we were delayed getting into our room until 7pm) - however in compensation we received breakfast vouchers which we were very happy with. The café and restaurant downstairs are both very good. I would recommend to others
Hotel was fine. Easy to walk to beach. I am only writing this review because the concierge (at least the one) was a complete idiot. I got 4 tickets online for Pearl Harbor for 11:00 for my family. I planned on taking the bus so I stopped at Concierge the day before to verify bus number and route. He said "Oh no! I would not do that. I offer tours instead. You will wait in line all day long unless you do my tour. But don't worry, I don't get commission." I explained I already had tickets for a set time so from what I read online, the wait was generally at 7am when they had tickets they released to first come, first served. He said, no the line is all day. When I asked what bus I should take, he told me the very first one at 5:42 am I think. He didn't even know when my time was. I explained my tour time was at 11. He said it didn't matter I should get there first thing. He also explained the bus was horrible. Well, now I was a little concerned. I ended up using Rabi Taxi for $5 per person to get there (as opposed to $2.50 for bus). I do think this was well worth the price. Due to my now paranoia I got there 2 hours early at 9am (instead of the recommended 1 hour before tour starts). What about the line he promised would be there ALL DAY? Well, I walked right up and grabbed tickets. Not a single person was waiting. And that was true the entire 3 hours we were there. I only wish I hadn't got there so early. It is just hard for me to understand the concierge. Either he is completely clueless in regards to Pearl Harbor, or he is just looking out for the tour companies (which charge about $100 per person to take you there and back). Either way, he definitely was not looking out for me. Definitely disappointed in that.
I was very happy with this Hotel. Stayed here 4 Nights on my way back home to Melbourne from mainland USA. Hotel was in Excellent Location. Close to everything in Waikiki, My Room was Fabulous with Balcony View of Ocean. Hotel is large, but well organised. Excellent Service.
This hotel is in the perfect spot for a Waikiki stay. Great rooms, good service, very friendly staff.Right opposite the Cheesecake Factory and other famous eateries, this would be my ultimate spot. Hawaii was never on my top ten places to visit but it's now in my house top fave five destinations.Warm, sunny, relaxed and totally chilled.
