The Regency Waikiki is a typically�excellent 5 star�Hyatt hotel, located right across the street from the beach.

With cascading waterfalls and beds of tropical flowers, this luxury hotel has unobstructed views of Waikiki beach. After a day of sightseeing, enjoy the luxurious guest accommodation, the Na Ho'ola Spa, award-winning restaurants, or cocktails at the Elegant Dive Bar.

We were looking for a place to stay for the weekend due to a dinner that we had to attend at another hotel. We looked online and find a great deal for kamaina people. The service that we had at the bar and restaurant was great. It was a great stacation!

Pleasant Stay

Staff are extremely friendly and offer an amazing service with a smile 😊 Servers at at pool especially Randy & Deborah were cents atonal and look after patrons with the highest of customer service - Well done Randy & Deborah your both a breath of fresh air - your professional outlook is amazing.Breakfast Buffet is very ordinary certainly not of Hyatt standards - very poor variety and limited.

Pigeons ..... Pigeons ...and more darn Pigeons

This hotel has potential to be a 5 star hotel but the outdoors amenities are overwhelmed by disease riddled pigeons. I wish Costco travel would have warned us about this nuisance, and i would have gave the hotel 2 stars but pigeons retreat at sunset. The pigeons are bold and will jump on and under you to get any scrap they can swallow up atop the dining/cocktail tables. This nuisance can easily be resolved with baseball nets they aren't a eyesore and they don't obstruct the ocean view.

Excellent Service

My Husband and I have never been to Oahu and we were traveling mostly on credit card points. Having said that I wasn't sure what to expect of our hotel but knew it was near the beach. (across the street to be exact). From the moment we checked in with Grace we were treated extremely well. We were there to celebrate our 1 year anniversary and they made us feel very special about that and treated us to champagne and a goodie basket. The pool desk on the 3rd level had great guys to help (Dado and Robert to name a few). We were able to pick up chairs and towels to take with us everyday without a problem. We were able to show up between 7-30am-10am and there were still chairs available. Having the Budget/Hertz rentals available made it so easy to rent a car for 2 days and not have to pick up or drop off at the airport. We chose to use Budget as they were cheaper and clearly had the shorter line each morning we walked by. We were very worried about our room as it was next to the elevator and asked to change immediately. Unfortunately they were sold out and offered to move us the next morning. But by the next morning we realized we over reacted and weren't bothered by any noise. The only issue we had were the slow elevators, which had signs posted they are working on upgrading. But you are in Hawaii where life is supposed to slow down a bit!

Great location, slow elevators

Great location, right across from the beach, nearby Dukes, which was a great restaurant, as well as many others. We were fortunate that the atrium was home to a farmer's market one afternoon that we were there. Delicious local fruits, and donuts, as well as some nice crafts and jewelry. Rooms were typical of this type of this hotel, check-in took longer that it should have, but the iced tea and lemon water in the lobby was a nice touch. As has been mentioned frequently in reviews of this hotel, the elevators in this building are very slow - four are not enough to service 600 rooms. The hotel is aware of this and is supposedly "working on it" but who knows what that means. When we were there, one of the four was broken, so we sometimes used the service elevator.
