The Regency Waikiki is a typically�excellent 5 star�Hyatt hotel, located right across the street from the beach.


Overview
With cascading waterfalls and beds of tropical flowers, this luxury hotel has unobstructed views of Waikiki beach. After a day of sightseeing, enjoy the luxurious guest accommodation, the Na Ho'ola Spa, award-winning restaurants, or cocktails at the Elegant Dive Bar.

Lovely falls short on details.

Spacious airy clean rooms. Wonderful housekeeping ( thanks Zoan)!! Great location. Friendly staff throughout. Best position. However the details falls short on a 5star resort. The breakfast is pretty awful where they charge $38 per person for cold,tasteless food ,when you can go across the road to the Cheesecake Factory and spend that for two including drinks and tips for an amazing meal. So unless it's included in your package don't bother! In the rooms you are NOT provided with a cup and saucer for your morning tea/ coffee,but rather a cardboard cup,plastic stirrer,powdered milk/ creamer , not what you'd expect for 5 star resort. They don't provide you with water bottles anymore,but rather a water container that you can keep to take home with you......pretty useless if your a traveller !! Lifts are really slow, but in all fairness this is due to maintenance being carried out. Although it has been renovated it feels dated. Good pool area though gets really busy with lots of children . Lots of sun but would prefer more shaded areas too. We booked our trip through MyHawaii.com and got a really good deal that included, airport transfers,free trip to and around Pearl Harbour, Pink Trolley Card etc. I would definitely stay here again on the hope the management fixes these small details. The place just needs some fine tuning touches to bring it up to a 5star standard.

Wow- customer service

Having stayed at this Hyatt many times I was impressed with the quality and consistency of customer care. The rooms have been upgraded and the location is the best, but the staff makes all the difference here.

Great location , Great rooms, Happy welcoming hotel staff

Get an ocean view room to really appreciate where you are. This hotel is located right opposite Waikiki beach and has some of the largest rooms in Honolulu with all the extras would would expect from a top rated hotel.The hotel is very large and although the rooms have had a refurb the hotel is showing some signs of age. The elvators struggle to cope. There are 2 towers at the hotel each being 40 floors. Each tower has 600 rooms with each tower having 4 elevators so they are very hard worked. Elevators are currently undergoing upgrades so hopefully things will get better. Hotel staff were very apologetic and were allowing guests to use the service elevators to assist with keeping the guests moving.. The service from all staff we encountered during our stay was excellent right thru from reception , restaurant staff ,housemaids and especially the happy ukilayli playing security staff on the Ewa tower. Their happy positive spirit flowed thoughout this lovely hotel....Great job.

Great Hotel ruined by there Elevaters

Could not get a hotel in a better spot right in the heart of Waikiki and right across the road from there main beach, just about everything was great about this hotel, really nice rooms and great staff, unfortunately there Elavators are a joke Sometimes we waited anywhere up to 10 to 15min just to get to our room and in the mornings you could take 20min to get down from the 37th floor, One morning I counted 26 people queuing up just to get in the lift anyway if you can put up with waiting a long time for a lift I would recommend this hotel because everything else is fantastic.

Poor service at Swim

Everything about this hotel was great except for an extremely rude bartender at Swim. So surprising because all other service was outstanding. This was our second stay here and loved almost everything.
