Rude staff but room ok

I'm currently still in the hotel and am due to check out at 4am. I asked for confirmation of the final bill and it was like it was to painful for them to explain, she couldn't even look at me. Even upon check in again same woman was rude, unfortunately I couldn't get her name as she was wearing a jacket with her badge covered. I will give the room a 4 star review though and housekeeping were terrific but to deal with the desk staff again alone has made me not return, I'd rather pay extra and go back to staying at the Hyatt. If ohana means family and that's the way they treat theirs I'm glad I won't be back. Maybe a course on customer service is needed for all staff. Absolutely disgusting!

Good location and staff, but very dated hotel

The good:My room was clean and with a partial beach view, it was also bigger than the others. The bed was comfortable and the towels were replaced daily. The location is in the middle of the action of Waikiki. The bad:The walls are too thin. You'll hear toilets flushing, people coughing, sneezing, and talking.I was given a "great" room (as described by the front desk) near the elevators. So, all day and night for 5 nights I got to hear the loud sounds of the 3 elevators. As mentioned already, the walls are thin, so combined with elevator machinery, it didn't make this an enjoyable stay. When I asked to change rooms on day 1, I was told they were already sold out. So basically, deal with it. The sheets on my bed weren't changed for 5 nights. I know this because I had a small hole in the fitted sheet.Overall, the location of this hotel is great. However, the thin walls made getting restful sleep difficult.

BUdget accommodation

This is a low cost hotel for the Waikiki area so don't expect anything above the average. We stayed here for a total of sis nights in October pre and post cruising around the islands on the Pride of America. Our rooms were clean and tidy with comfortable bedding but they are very dated. On our return post cruise we could not be booked in because it was too early which was fair enough but when Imenquired as to which floor we would have the receptionis told us us it would be on the second floor which is a mezzanine type of floor where all the balcony doors open to a common area so you cannot leave your balcony door open at night or whenever you may be in a private situation eg showering due to security issues. I told the staff I wouldn't accept a room on this level and they eventually accommodated us in a ninth floor Waikiki View room. The service was reasonable but not outstanding. There are restaurants and fast food outlets in close proximity and you are only a five minute walk to the beach. There is free wi fi but you do have to pay the Waikiki connection fee (15.71 US). All in all good value for money but again don't expect luxury.

Loved it so much last time, that we're coming back!!!

Let me begin by telling you how perfect the location of this hotel is - it's right in the middle of everything and exactly where you'd want to be! The staff are the friendliest I've found and the service is exceptional, not to mention the facilities such as the gym, pool, spa and restaurants. The hotel is nice and clean and if you were to stay mere metres closer to the beach you would triple your price tag. It may not be as expensive as some hotels but a stay at this hotel is by no way a compromise and you'll have a great holiday in a great hotel - enjoy!!!

Get what you want

Stayed here recently for 3 nights prior to a cruise and found it to be a nice hotel. My room was nice overlooking the pool with cooking facilities ( which I didn't need or use )....and plenty of room.Right next door to PK hotel which picks up many tours, but the hotel has its own shuttle services Close by to shopping, trolley bus stops around the corner as is Cheesecake Factory and DukesNo bar on premises but a small coffee shop, but there is a pub in the basement outside as with plenty of other eateries
