Outrigger Reef on the Beach
- What's Included
This a large, very popular hotel in a very hectic part of Waikiki, sat right on the beach and close to all that Waikiki has to offer. Our room was large and clean with a good sea view, the toiletries were great and staff were cheerful and attentive. It felt luxurious to check in with a hot towel and fresh cold drink at reception, a stylish touch which we appreciated. There are three choices of restaurants, we enjoyed them all but found the informal grill a bit more peaceful .Live music in the evenings was an added bonus here. The breakfast and dinner in the main restaurant was good, but it was frantic at peak times and hard to get a beachside table. The valet service was very expensive over $38 per day (no option but to use it if you have a car) and a resort fee of $31 daily ( never was sure what this was for) Suffice it to say it added considerably to the cost of our 6 day stay and we were not expecting these add ons. That aside, we enjoyed our stay but if you want a quiet resort this isn't for you.Friendly staff, especially the valet team made this a very pleasant place to stay.
Room 1501 perfect ocean view room. Loved the size, cleanliness & bathroom. Private open outlook. Great beach view from balcony. All hotel staff friendly. Take opportunity to go to Managers breakfast in Blue Room. Interesting facts from Managers of different sections and yummy breakfast goodies. Offered tickets to the next show which we thoroughly enjoyed. Always a sun lounge available in front of Dukes. Thoroughly enjoyed our holiday! Thank you to all staff.
We stayed here for 6 nights and had a one bedroom apartment. The apartment was huge and quite modern, with good facilities including a microwave, mini fridge, sink, etc. The bed was large and comfortable and we had a cot for our son. I did not experience any issues with noise and found the room to be quiet. We enjoyed the hotel facilities including the pool and we ate dinner at the restaurant out the front of the hotel. We had the buffet breakfast one morning overlooking the ocean - selection was ok but nothing amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful and I loved how fast the lifts were! The hotel was also well located to both the shops and beach. Whilst the beach out the front did not have smooth sand, we still found it good to swim in and for our son to play. The only issue we encountered was upon check out, which took 40 minutes. Apart from this, we had a great stay and would come again.
Just spent a week in April at the Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort and we were very pleased with our stay. I have to send a big "Thank you" to Frank at the front desk as the original room we booked did not have a lanai or a view and was in fact quite dreary. Frank took the time to help us find a suitable upgrade and the new room was much brighter with a lanai. This simple gesture really enhanced our stay experience as we were able to have coffee outside on the lanai and enjoy a lovely view every day. The pool area of the hotel is great, with numerous pool chairs, towel service as well as food/drink service. There is live entertainment every night by the pool as well as a couple of nice restaurants on site. The ocean view from the bar at the Shore Bird restaurant is stunning! The rooms and entire facility are well maintained and clean, and staff in every department are both friendly and helpful. The lady at the concierge booked us discounted tickets for the spectacular luau at the Polynesian Cultural Centre which we thoroughly enjoyed. We also took advantage of the Enterprise Car Rental conveniently located right on site and rented a car for 2 days to explore the rest of the island. Staff there were also very polite and helpful. Also of note, there is a Starbucks right on site where you can get great coffee and affordable breakfast items. I can't say enough good things about this hotel - direct beach access, fantastic pool, restaurants/convenience stores on site, pleasant staff, well located on the strip to access shops and restaurants in the Waikiki area. Highly recommended and would definitely stay there again!
Aloha!! We arrived at check-in after a long flight and was greeted with a wonderful juice, awesome!! The Outrigger Reef was clean and it's a very beautiful resort. Our room was clean facing the pool area, we didn't mind, because we had lots of activities planned. Loved our time there, the staff, (especially housekeeping) pool, beach, and the shops in the lobby is like a mini mall. we had the best time. Mahalo, for helping us enjoy our wonderful vacation!!
