Beautiful, Simple & Relaxed

Our first time ever in Hawaii with our short stay at the Sheraton Waikiki was once in a lifetime experience that we will cherish forever. The staff members were absolutely friendly and helpful! It is definitely recommended to stay and is so central to absolutely all shopping stores you could think of. Thank you Sheraton Waikiki for making our stay so comfortably safe, we will be back.

Amazing

My stay at the Sheraton Waikiki couldn't be faulted. From the exceptional service at check in to the friendly service staff by the pool and the housekeepers, all of the staff seemed to genuinely enjoy their jobs. The room was great and the facilities are unreal. Will definitely be back.

Check in was a breeeze. The room I selected exceeded what I was expecting via the net. The staff were extreemely curtious and helpful. Travel advice/recommendation from travel desk was spot on. The overall experiance was such that I would come again and let others know of my experiances.

Good Value for the Money

Sheraton Waikiki is a hive of activity from 8 a.m. until midnight. Two pools (one very well designed for kids and their parents, and the other - the infinity pool - fantastic for adults) ,and a variety of shops and services mean there's never a dull moment. Just steps from the Royal Hawaiian centre, and a short bus ride to the Ala Moana mall, the SW is close to all the shopping you'll need. The first attraction, of course, is the beach and the view of Diamond Head. These are fantastic. We had 10 days of stunning weather. Standard rooms are standard - comfortable but well-worn. Housekeeping staff was wonderful for us as were all other hotel employees.

Great Stay for Visitors and Kama'aina

This was my second stay at the Sheraton Waikiki which is a very nice treat for local Hawai'i residents as well as visitors, although I have been to the property for weddings, proms, just to dine or hang out poolside with friends. Both stays were to celebrate birthdays and we were fortunate to book one of the Presidential Suites that Sheraton offers. The rooms are on the upper floors and this time was situated on the very top 31st floor which offered a spectacular view of Diamond Head as well as a panoramic view of the mountain and Waikiki to the ocean so that we could view the sunrise as well as sunset from the same balcony chair if desired. Even before arrival our booking was serviced well to ensure we would be able to accommodate the number of guests staying in our room (a handful of birthday party sleepover guests) and a few cars. The bellmen, reception desk, housekeeping and other staff were always cheerful and very much filled with the "aloha spirit" ensuring that we were comfortable, that we had everything (espeically extra towels!) that we needed. I'm not sure what the Sheraton gift promo is called but there is also a little gift shop to redeem a card we received upon check-in that allowed us to fill a goodie bag with items offered, from bottled wines, beers and beverages, to toiletries, candies, and local Hawaiian treats (this may be part of the room package or perhaps loyal hotel rewards program?).Every so often the weather and ocean conditions affect the beach access (stairway between the Sheraton and neighboring Royal Hawaiian property is closed due to erosion of the sand/beach) so guests have to walk to the beach through a detoured route. This is NOT the Sheraton's fault, and I must say that the Sheraton provides signage and posts staff to redirect guests so they are not harmed. Some people disregard the warnings and climb over locked gates to get to the beach but do so at their own risk. Again, the Sheraton takes precautions to ensure their guests can still enjoy Waikiki beach in a safe manner. One of the best parts of our stay was the Leahi lounge which we had been oblivious to for our first stay the year before. The Leahi lounge offers guests on certain floors/rooms to enjoy continental breakfast, snacks, pupu (appetizers) and drinks at various times of the day. Not only was the view amazing from the 30th floor (Diamond Head and Waikiki from one side, and Ala Moana and Airport looking West on the other side), but the service and FOOD/DRINKS were great!! Breakfast was not just toast and jam, but scrambled (or hard-boiled upon request) eggs, rice, cereals, miso soup, fresh fruits and juices, and hot tea/coffee. Noon time snack offerings were bottled water, granola bars, apples/oranges/bananas. Evening offerings were different on our two nights but had goodies like gyoza/dumpling/pot stickers, assorted cheeses and olives, meatballs, vegetable sticks, mini sweets like cookies, complimentary wine and beer or varieties for purchase. I'm not sure how much more the Leahi lounge cost per person but for guests looking for convenience, this was a great way to save a trip to the grocery store or ABC mart. Having the option for the lounge still allows guests to have a nice late dinner on property or nearby, unless you help yourself so much and have no room left for anything. We definitely splurged with the suite this visit, but when we return again, i would book a modest room for our family four and definitely add on the Leahi lounge option!
