The Waikiki Shore is the only rental property on the beach . We rented for a week a one bedroom apartment and discovered that the sofa in the living room was also a sofa-bed . So we could have slept 4 in our apartment . The apartment had all the comforts one could want: a full kitchen with microwave , garbage disposal , refrigerator with water and ice on the door , pots, pans, dishes , cutlery , and dishwasher . They started us off with packets of coffee for the coffeemaker and tablets for the dishwasher . There was a table and chairs to eat in and a fully furnished living room . Adjacent to the living room was a large deck over looking gardens and the beach . The bedroom could be closed off by a sliding door if someone slept in the living room . There were 2 large closets with shelves for clothes . The bathroom had a tub/shower combination and staff kept bringing soap , shampoo , etc. daily. We paid a fee when we checked in which we thought was to clean when we left. But we discovered it covered daily light cleaning , bed making , and clean linens . The staff were helpful and friendly . We could check out beach towels , as many as we wanted , for free . The location is great . You can easily walk to restaurants and attractions . Next door is a great museum , the Army Museum. Right out front is a bus stop . If those buses don't take you where you want to go , you can walk 2 blocks and get a variety of buses . We discovered you can get all around the whole island by inexpensive buses . I highly recommend the Waikiki Shore as a home away from home .
This is a great location right on the beach. Lots of restaurants and shops all within walking distance. Loved the area. We had a one bedroom condo with a beautiful ocean view.from the balcony. It was excellent and very comfy beds. Would be nice to have a pool but we walked to the hilton super pool where they didn't mind you were not staying at the hiton. Also the conceirge could have been more helpful but mostly great place to stay within walking to so many places and we also took the bus which was right across the street.. the bus takes you everywhere for $2.50 and get a transfer for return or change so a rental car was not needed.
The Waikiki Shore DOES NOT have a pool. The picture on the very first page is a picture of the pool at the Outrigger Waikiki Reef. You can not even see the pool from the Waikiki Shore. I blame tripadvisor for this very deceiving picture of the Waikiki Shore.
#1216 nice, updated;didn't like sleeping in a twin bed(youth hostel?);had2-3 roaches; mauka elevator out of order most of our stay; makai elevator down for day,had to use stairs/my guest handicapped; (elevators are apparently new) no rep from Castle on premise to assist with compensating for elevator fiasco. only prop mgr for owners on premise and could not assist us . "We're a separate company from Castle". Too bad for us...they gladly took our money.
We're an Aussie family of four with two teenage, young adults. The condo was clean, spacious and had some great beach gear. Friday night fireworks from the balcony were awesome. You're at a slightly quieter end of Waikiki but only a few minute walk to the hustle and bustle. Shops, takeaway and restaurants all in easy reach. Great location, right on the beach. Good facilities
