Caribe Cove Resort
- What's Included
Overall it was decent for what we paid. However this is not 4 star. It was clean and spacious but that's about it. The furnishings are very dated. Spare sheets in the master did not fit the king bed. A picture in the master was hung lopsided and the other was missing a large chunk on the corner. A crack in the door to the master was poorly repaired with wood resin but clearly visible where it was previously cracked. The kitchen was well stocked with small appliances, pots and other dishware, would have worked great for a family who does a lot of cooking on holiday. Overall the place was more 2.5 to 3 star. Customer service was ok. The first day they closed the pool but didn't put a sign up on the entrance and one of the ladies got mad when she saw us in there stating a sign had been put up in the club house. In if we don't enter through the club house how exactly were we supposed to see it X-RAY vision???
Family of 5 .We stayed in building 2 room 504 A 3 bedroom/2 bath villa.. Building 2 is the closest building to the pool. The room sleeps 8.We booked Caribe Cove so that everyone could get a great night of sleep. The beds were old, noisy and very, very uncomfortable. We could feel the springs through each of the mattresses. I checked one mattress and it was dated May 2007. The master bedroom had a beautiful enclosed patio. Unfortunately the sliding door to the patio had a broken lock. There were a lot of little things that were noticeable. Stains on the rug, a broken timer on the dryer, a wall clock without batteries, worn cushions on the sofa offering no support, extremely small tvs, icemaker on refrigerator was not operating properly, not enough dish settings for 8 people, not enough towel sets for 8 people, limited pans, etc. Note there are snakes, gators, and other animals on the grounds. On a previous stay we vacationed at Floridays and found that a far superior experience.Free in room wifi worked well, and air conditioning was very efficient.
After cruise wanted somewhere to go to rest. Liked the fact Caribe Cove was gated. It was 5 of us and we rented the 3 bedroom/2 bathroom unit. Very clean and spacious. Truly enjoyed the screened patio. A patio in master bedroom, living room and second bedroom. The beds were very comfortable. The living room is very outdated it needs a major renovation. The wicker furniture was uncomfortable and the cushions need replacing. Very faded and wore. Plastic plants that looked horrible. The televisions were outdated and small. The refrigerator was broken, unfortunately we didn't know until after we had gone grocery shopping. Ice cream and other frozen items melted. Maintenance was able to fix that evening. It was a comfortable place just needs updating. Very nice area. Close to stores and restaurants.
We checked in on Sunday, April 9,2017. We had a three bedroom condo. There was no remote for the television in the bedroom with queen bed. Our refrigerator was not working, so maintenance was called. They had to remove an ice buildup from the freezer. On Monday our water was brown. I went to the office and asked if we were being punked or something. They told us the city was testing the water and did not tell them. Overall the furniture needs to be updated especially the living room furniture. The bathrooms are rather nice. Units need a lot of updating.
The place was wonderful and clean. We booked the three bedroom and two bath unit. The whole resort was gated and had someone at the gate at all times. There were washers and dryers in each unit so you didn't have to over pack your clothes and have room for souvenirs. Our place had a high chair and a play pen for our 10 month old. The screened patio was a bonus and we had breakfast outside every morning. The bathrooms were very nice and had separate showers and baths. The carpet was a bit worked out and the TVs were out of date, but who watches TV on vacation. Walmart and Target were both within 10 minutes and a gas station was about 3 minutes away. Lots of restaurants within 20 minutes. We will be booking this place in the future as it has everything we want for our home away from home. All you can drink tea and coffee at the main building and free DVD movie rentals every night you stay. They even sell you Disney and other theme park tickets so you can get them all at one place.
