My family visited Orlando this summer for vacation and stayed at Carib Cove Resort for the first time. We were very pleased with the resort and felt it was great value for money, considering we would have easily paid twice the amount to stay at a hotel and we got the added bonus of separate rooms for kids/parents and a full kitchen, living area and screened patio. We booked a two-bedroom condo and there was ample space for our family of two adults and three children ages 8-10. There were twin beds in the kids' bedroom, which we pushed together to make a bigger bed, and a large closet where we tucked away suitcases. The master bedroom had a king bed, which, I have to admit, was rather hard for my preference. The master bathroom had a Jacuzzi tub and separate shower, as well as double sinks. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, stove, dishwasher, plates, cups and cutlery. There are pots and pans, dishwashing liquid/dishwasher tablets, paper towel and the like. Nearby is a grocery store, which made is easy for us to pick up snacks and we made dinner one evening. There are televisions in both bedrooms as well as the living area. The outdoor patio is nice as well; a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea in the morning. The pool was nearby (we were in building 1, the closest to the lobby/pool) and there's a lovely lake near the pool that is beautiful at sunset. We had an issue with the WiFi at one point and when we called the front desk they sent someone over right away; it was sorted in 15 minutes or less. We'll definitely stay here again if we're in the area.
The resort clean staff friendly but phone in room did not work The weekend staff not really as helpful as wanted in time of needThe room was clean and large especially as it was for a wheel chairBut the shower was not a roll in shower as asked for
Just sitting in the airport after two weeks at caribe cove. The room was lovely. 3 bedroom, two bathrooms with large kitchen /sitting room. The air con was very loud so you couldn't sit on the balcony while it was running and for the first week it really got me down but I did acclimatise to the noise by the 2nd week. The pool area was lovely and clean but the sunbeds were very poor and many were broken. These were being replaced towards the end of the holiday. No bar in the resort which didn't bother me in the slightest. No noisy drunks by the pool. Staff were helpful and looked after us well during hurricane Matthew. Ty on main desk a little star. Free tea and coffee available 24/7 plus a free dvd everyday, that's a plus!Location wise a little too far out for my liking. Checkout at 10am- no facilities available to shower and change for anyone on a later flight. 😑
Caribe Cove is an average resort. Like many reviewers before me, we were not completely happy with our stay. The staff at Caribe Cove are all great. There was not a single issue they did not address and were happy to help with any questions we had regarding activities in the area. The room we stayed in was a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo style room. The unit we stayed in was really in need of some updating. The living room furniture was well past it's prime and the TV was ridiculously small. The bedrooms were very roomy but the beds were very hard and uncomfortable. We did not have a good nights sleep for the 8 nights we stayed. The grounds are beautiful, we pretty much had the pool to ourselves every time we used it! There are tons of restaurants and shopping close by and the Disney parks were all around a 10 minute drive away. We would not choose to stay at Caribe Cove again. There are lots of resorts to choose from in the area so we will try another one next time.
We stayed for a week the first week of September (over labour day weekend). The staff was fabulous, the locale was quiet and not to busy. The 3 bedroom condo was perfect for our family. It was so clean We were very impressed. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a a place to stay and would definitely go back. We had a few minor issues (curtain rod was broken, towel rack fell down) but the staff were quick to address. I also loved that because it was a little bit further away from Old Town we never had to deal with busy restaurants and there were 2 great grocery stores nearby. Great vacation hope we can visit here again.
