pleasantly surprised

We have just returned home after a two week stay at celebration suites. What a lovely place it is too. Often passed the place on previous visits and decided this time to give it a go and I'm glad we did. Check in was quickly and efficiently done, infact, the girls on reception were excellent.Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were spacious and clean with plenty of towels which were changed daily. Some of the furnishings were a little dated but it looked like there was a lot of refurbishment on going so its no big deal. All the rooms had new curtains and carpets which were lovely. Lots of facilities on site including a fitness suite which was fantastic and, again,spotlessly clean. Three pools, launderette,small games room and bbq areas. Free shuttle buses to the theme parks and shopping malls and ideally situated next to the 192 highway and right next door to Old Town. Couldn't fault the place. Thank you to the all the staff for their hard work. We will definitely stay here on our next visit.

Inexpensive, Rather Creepy, Depressing Place

Check in took a VERY long time and we didn't have anyone ahead of us. You had to sign your life away - multiple things to initial- like we're going to steal all their stuff. We travel a lot and I have never encountered this long of a check-in. (My husband is a Marriott Platinum member). Confusing entry to bldgs. There are lots of buildings. First impression upon entering first building was poor. Creepy place. An old, converted motel. We had a 2-bedroom suite. There was just furniture, no paintings (except one picture in kitchen), no lamps, no nightstand in king room. Ceiling lights only. New paint was medium blue/gray (like a prison color) and tan ceramic floor tile. The kitchen was nicely remodeled with new countertops, cabinets, appliances and was clean. Bathroom countertop was new granite. Bathtub and shower were old - probably original. There was a 1" hole in the wall in the king bedroom. We wanted to let them know we found it as we checked in and didn't do it ourselves. No one answered the front desk for 10 minutes. The number was transferred to reservations over and over. After seeing the rooms, we decided not to go swimming; however, I didn't look at the pools. All 3 TV's were set to Spanish. King bedroom had a door to corridor with a chain lock and the chain wasn't long enough to reach the lock! It appeared that the door had been forced open in the past. There were air conditioners in both bedrooms and living room. They worked ok. I checked for bed bugs and didn't find any. Thank God. There is a coffee shop near the front desk which was handy. I was very happy to leave.

Terrible - You get even less than what you pay for!

We had to find a last minute one night booking due to hurricane Nate disrupting flights onwards to New Orleans.On checking in, I saw a big whiteboard in their bag store stating 'how to deal with a complaint'. The final step was 'What can you do to resolve this to the customers satisfaction'.Well, I had a complaint. I was drinking my bottle of water in the room and noticed it was actually still beside the bed. The bottle I was drinking from was a half empty bottle that had been left in the room. The cleaners clearly don't do their job and accidentally drinking from this is utterly disgusting. Reception response: I'll mention it to housekeeping. Not sure what I was expecting, but more than that.Aside from this horrendous occurrence, the hotel is still poor. Aircon barely functions considering the heat/humidity. I asked to borrow a HDMI cable, but couldn't.No amount of “call or email” (as I see they post to every other) is enough, they know my thoughts and had every opportunity to offer a decent apology.

Deposit

Not a bad place for the money ...Paid a $75 refundable deposit and have not received it back 2 months later ...surely this is THEFT!!! Emailed them twice but never got a reply once ...on a positive note rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels and bedding ,let's hope the refund issue is a glitch as was gonna look at rebooting in future but can't trust them now..

Expedia REALLY MESSED up...

I had been down for a large Microsoft Conference last week, and my wife flew down to surprise me towards the end of the conference, then she had made reservations with Expedia to stay at Celebration Suites.... The reservation process took forever for my wife, and she thought she had it all straightened out before she came down... but when we went to check in, we found that Expedia had sent the wrong info to the hotel, even though the reservation online on the Expedia site showed correct amount paid... Anyway, my wife called Expedia, and spent a long time on the phone, also waiting for a call back from Expedia, which we never got..... We thought we were really stuck, but a young woman named Fabiane really came thru for us !!! I am so grateful to Fabiane for getting this taken care of.... I would recommend this hotel to everyone !!
