decent rooms, great location, sometimes has great greats, other times have outrageous rates, wifi has a fee and it is terrible service, nice friendly staff, excellent housekeeping, hate the east side of the main property because the loud & obnoxious pizza delivery people next door were parking at my patio and hanging out there, even on my patio area. I had to tell them to leave a few times and they just kept coming back... tried to change rooms but nothing was available without paying more.
We stayed at this hotel for two weeks. Check in was easy. I had emailed the hotel a few weeks before our stay with some specific room requests and these were granted with no trouble. Front desk staff was very friendly. We had brought a little gift bag for them with some candy you can only get in Canada and they were very enthusiastic about it and I was glad we did it. Any of our dealings with the front desk, from check-in, to booking shuttles, to check-out were friendly, quick and efficient. We stayed in a renovated room, which was quite spacious. The rooms are minimally decorated, which was fine. The housekeeping service was so-so. We did find that maybe half the days our garbages were not emptied, and it did not appear as though the floors were swept often. There were some comments about bugs on some reviews, which we were worried about. I think I saw maybe four bugs in the room the entire stay, and only when one of us left a damp towel on the floor. Otherwise, everything was great. The kitchen was handy and came stocked with: a few different pots, one pan (not non-stick), basic utensils (knives, forks, spoons, some chopping knives, a cutting board, a serving spoon, a slotted spoon and a spatula). There is a microwave and a toaster. Some basics we purchased were: salt, pepper, a can opener, a non-stick frying pan.Every kind of store you might need is nearby. There is a Publix maybe a block away, a Target just down the street and about 1000 Walgreens/CVS.The shuttles were handy, but make sure you book at least the day before – they can fill up quickly. The pool was COLD! But it was still fun. Who doesn’t like blue toes?As for noise, the area itself if loud. The music from Fun Spot and sometimes Old Town is loud enough that you hear it into the wee hours of the night. If you turn on the a/c, it drowns it out enough for sleeping. We didn’t have an issue with it, but if you are sensitive to stuff like that, it may be a consideration. There is a resort fee that you have to pay in addition to your reservation costs. It was $11.00 per day, which is pretty standard. There was also a $120.00 hold on our credit card in case there were any damages to the room. The hold was removed promptly after our stay, so no issues there.Husband and teen loved the car show at Old Town. Pro-tip: If you have teens and are staying at the hotel for awhile, a season pass for Funspot, the little amusement park next to the hotel, is $99.00. We bought one our first day and my teen spend a good chunk of our “down time” over there on the go-karts. Oh, and the little Mexican restaurant in Old Town, Tex-Mex, is AWESOME! We went to freaking Disney World and my son says Tex-Mex was one of his favourite parts of the trip. The guacamole was super yummy! All in all, we enjoyed our stay and for the price we paid, this hotel delivered just about everything we could expect in a friendly and efficient manner.
Hotel in good location if you are driving. There are free buses to the parks, but they do not stay until the time of the shows, which not being worth it. Breakfast is limited to only three units, which you choose from cornflakes, cake, bread, milk or cereal bar. The service in the hotel is reasonable, within the expected, however we had (and are having) a big problem, since after you checked out, to the hotel you become somewhat despicable. We made an order for Amazon, but it delayed the delivery and therefore would only arrive four days after our departure. Therefore, still in the hotel, we inform employees and management not to receive. They even requested emails reinforcing the request and we did so. To our surprise, they received the order and did not know where it ended up. For months we have tried to contact, but the hotel does not give any return, be it email, phone, etc. They claim that the manager is who knows, but this manager never and never returns. Balance: We paid for a product that did not come to us.
We reserved our room a month and half ago and was paid in full,,,,,,,,,,,well we drive 3 1/2 hours to be left out on the street. Could not believe that they cancelled our reservation the day prior without any notice. With no consideration that we had no where to stay and all surrounding hotels were sold out. How can you run a business like that? Completely ruin our weekend way. Paid for 2 nights and we had to turn around and go home. I have to say I am completely disgusted how it was handled and not one time did they try and correct the problem and you still haven't even refunded our money.
We visited Celebration Suited in mid February. We had a one room suite in building J. Pros: close to attractions like Disney. Pool area was clean. Beds were comfy. I felt safe enough. Room was fairly clean. Cons: kitchen area was absolutely gross. Flooring old and cracked, fridge rusted, cupboards old and literally falling apart. It was not someplace you want to sit and eat or to cook in. Table falling apart. Bathroom was old and gross as well. In room phone did not work. Entire suite very dark. Pool not heated- very cold. Right next to Old Town Kissimmee- loud music till at least midnight that could be heard in our bedroom. Overall totally not impressed. If you really want to be cheap, I suppose it is acceptable- not someplace you want to come home to though. Spend an extra $40 a night and get something decent. We will not return.
