Champions World Resort
- What's Included
OverviewFamily oriented Motor Inn with popular guest room amenities; located four miles from Disney World.
The hotel is average. If you get a cheap rate that includes breakfast, this isn't a bad place to stay (especially if you're away all day). I thought the property was noisy - guests arrive late from the parks and forget that some families are already asleep. Avoid the gym (too small and one of two treadmills inoperable). If you stay here, be sure to affix the parking decal to your vehicle. Ours fell off; instead of a tow we found a letter on the car informing us to be more careful in the future. If this is the hotel booked by Casablanca Express, well, too bad. This wasn't the "upgraded" room that I expected. I also had to pay reduced "resort fees" of $3 a night which is less than the $7 charged for regular customers. Per Julio, there are "never" resort fees at the properties that they book. Hey, guess what else Julio? There was no welcome desk to obtain complementary breakfast. The hotel staff gave us an address to visit. Dead end. I'd call Casablanca for the $30 credit due to the lack of breakfast but I'd rather not deal with them anymore.
So I needed a last minute overnight stay in Orlando. I found this hotel on Hotwire for $33. For the price it was worth it. The sheets were clean. I'm not used to an outside hotel located, I was a little nervous but for the price I couldn't say much. It was close to Disney and about 30 minutes from the airport. Alot of restuarants near and they had a lot of amenties at the resort. Bar, gift shop, restuarants, 3 pools and jacuzzi.
I really enjoyed this place. It has a lot to offer for a very affordable price. I think that they should pay more attention to certain things in the rooms like the cleanliness of the bathroom and the water faucet was broken but functioning so overall is very good. I'd stay here again without a doubt.
I booked through Groupon. There were several different options and I was looking at "premium" rooms with two double beds. There were 3 options, $65, $67, $77. Looking at the list of what you got for each of those options the only difference I could see was no breakfast, continental breakast for 2 and breakfast for 2. So I opted for the $77 premium room which I was led to believe included breakfast for 2. When I checked in I was informed that breakfast was included "if you paid for it". I said I thought I did, what was the difference between the 3 "premium" double bed rooms and she said no idea, you have to talk to Groupon. I believe it was a scam by Champions World to lead you to believe breakfast was included. They make a big deal about having a "separate bathroom" - like what else would it be? The rooms were large, tile floor rooms. Beds were OK, bathroom had no counter area. There was a sink outside the bathroom with limited counter space. The rooms are definitely not sound proof, it was very noisy. If you have small children and are looking for a cheap place to stay this might be the place for you because there are several pools. But do not think breakfast is included!
Stayed in May of last year for a quick trip to Orlando - kicking myself it wasn't a long trip to Orlando! It's not the newest or flashiest of resorts, but it serves a purpose - with large rooms and most importantly clean rooms you can't fault this place for the price we paid. Location is ideal and it's dead easy to find - I would (and have) recommend this to anybody considering Orlando and wanting a good place to stayI wish we'd had more chance to enjoy its facilities including the nature reserve out back but only stayed for 2 nights so couldn't! We'd definitely be back.
