Champions World Resort
- What's Included
OverviewFamily oriented Motor Inn with popular guest room amenities; located four miles from Disney World.
This resort is well worth the price. Great location, clean, attractive grounds, nice staff. Each day we left we came back to a clean room. Pools located throughout the hotel. One plays a movie nightly. Nice exercise room, small game room for kids. Breakfast is an additional cost but we brought our own breakfast items and used fridge and microwave in room. Quiet and very family oriented. Stayed here very last minute not really knowing what we wanted and have stayed several other places in the area and will come back in the future!
After a long trip to visit a family friend at Avon Park, our family proceed to Orlando to visit Disneyworld. We decided to spend the night at this hotel together with another 2 families. We had a very comfortable rest and a good night's sleep. We find the rooms clean and neat with complete necessities and amenities. We look forward to staying here again in the next visit to Orlando.
We loved our stay here. From the moment we checked in. At the front desk we were greeted by Diana she was great, friendly and helpful. We got the king size room with a sofa bed. The moment we walked in to the room it smelled clean, the room was a nice size right in front of the pool. This resort has 3 heated pools and one Jacuzzi, which we used the Jacuzzi everyday. This resort is huge! There is a park in the back which we loved they're lakes with fire pits with hammocks and also picnic tables with bbqs all (which we loved) there's a trail you can walk. On the premises there is also basketball courts, volleyball nets, and a soccer field yes ppl a soccer field. Lol I saw you can bring your pets which I believe it's a $15 fee per night (which isn't bad) there is a $7 a day resort fee which was told when we checked in. The staff was very friendly and helpful they even came to the pool/Jacuzzi areas asking if we wanted to order any food or drinks. My husband ordered a rum and coke $7 (normal price any where) which was pretty strong. We went on that thanksgiving and they did have a Thanksgiving meal for $12.95 however we didn't try it or any of the food at the resort. All and all we very much enjoyed our stay at champions world Resort even at check with Sharon she was very friendly. I lil tip though if your staying as for the 2nd floor and away from the pools you can hear ppl in the pool hanging out.
This hotel lived up to it's claims. It had great community areas and extras like free coffee in the restaurant area. My kids loved sitting by the fire and making s'mores. The rooms were basic and had seen better days but they were clean and everything worked. The staff were friendly and helpful and check in was smooth. The nature area was great it had hammocks and we were able to kick back and relax awhile, after swimming and using the hot tub. They had movies on at the pool and the resort fee was well earned unlike some of the other hotels in the area. The landscaping in the main area and the nature area were very picturesque and this place was great for teams because they had all kinds of fields out back to practice on and then the nature area had grills were a team could meet up and grill to save some $$ on food or just to hang out.Overall, I think this hotel offers the best value out of the many hotels I have stayed in the area. So long as you are not expecting the Ritz for $50 a night you will enjoy your stay. We will be back the next time my daughter has a tournament.
The room was moderately clean. No bugs, but strands of thick hair in our beds everyday. The walls are extremely thin. You can hear EVERYTHING next door...and they do allow pets. The resort is not nearly as nice as the pictures lead you to believe. Think more of a cheap motel. The front desk staff was very nice. We were told NOT to use the free shuttle service to Disney as it was "not worth it". Breakfast is expensive (~$15 per person). Eat off-property. Also, realize that the cheap rate will attract ALL kinds of people. The worst part for us was the surprise $7 night "Resort Tax". This is NOT included in what you pay online. It's a "pay it or leave" type of fee. However, we left every morning at 7am and returned every evening after midnight. So, this was a place to sleep, not enjoy. Probably will NOT choose this place again.
