This is my dad's go to hotel. The bunk bed rooms are great for kids. A little cramped, but a wall seperates theose from a queen bed. Each area has their own tv which was nice. They have a beautiful pool area with hot tub and a baby pool, as well. Breakfast was great! It was a full buffett. The staff was so helpful and So many choices. The hotel is beautiful and spacious. It is next to a McDonalds and within walking distance of other restaurants and shops. Disney is very close and Walmart is less than 7 minutes away. We will be staying there again in November for sure!
Stayed here total of 7 nights. Wonderful location, close to both Disney and Universal. Easy to get to from this location. Tons of things within walking distance or short drive. Very Clean, ample safe parking, great pillows, and even during the hurricane, great service and amenities. Would recommend for both business and leisure travel.
I'm so incredibly sad. Our great, go-to off site Disney Hotel has changed management, so for the worse. It was great when we stayed in the 3rd week of September 2016. But 4 weeks later, I should have known something was up when we didn't get a welcome text from the manager. Found out that they changed two weeks ago (probably beginning of October 2016).All the friendly faces that we had gotten used to seeing? Gone. I've been waiting for 2 hours to get replacement batteries for the remote. I got into the elevator to go get some, to hear that another guest didn't have her room made up at all. Had to talk to three people to get the breakfast that we had always been given up until now. Instead of a solid meal, we got hockey pucks for pastries. Housekeeping staff is meh, instead of top notch. We used to have two televisions in the room, because if you're in a bunk bed, you can't see the main tv in bed - but now the second one is gone as is the microwave. We used to get replacement toiletries every day - we didn't get any new soap yesterday at all - I guess we can't let melt away. Time to find another place to stay. Anyone who is booked here might want to consider looking around for another option. This site has gotten into the 192 nickel and dime club. It's got small bathrooms and parking is a nightmare if crowded, especially if you're disabled. All that was livable when the service and food was good and management was responsive. I didn't mind because the value was good and the staff was top notch, they really went out of their way to make you feel welcome. Now there are three times as many people hanging around in Holiday Inn uniforms and half the customer care. And what's really sad is that I wrote corporate on Friday with this kind of a review - I didn't even get an acknowledgement that I sent something in. And I'm a gold member in the IHG chain, mainly because of this site. Welp, no need to lose my Diamond Status at my primary chain anymore over this hotel (And I was this year, because I WAS going to stay here again...not anymore.)
This hotel falls way short of Holiday inn standards by a long way. The only way to describe it is as something from the 1970s which was probably the last time it had a refurb. Rooms are a good size but dull, bathrooms look clean but very tired. As a IHG Gold member I was upgraded to a king room so shudder to think what the others are like. Restaurant is actually a cafeteria, orange juice served is called "orange blend" just watered down orange juice effectively. Corridors are dull just like the rooms. Aircon is noisy. I went to look at the pool and the bottom of it has stones , grit and cigarette ends in it so asked what time it would be cleaned to be told its already done first thing in a morning. I know this is a Holiday inn at a tourist destination but surely you should expect the same standard from IHG wherever you go in the world. I am sure there is better in Orlando for the same money !!!!
We stayed here because we had a vacation package for the Holiday Inn Vacation Club. The rooms are just average. They could have been a little cleaner, (i.e. vacuumed and dusted.) There is a food court on site, but it is not open all day, and there is also a small bar, which is also not open until 4 or 4:30pm. The hotel has two nice pools and a spa and exercise room. There is also a small children's play ground.
