Holiday Inn Orlando SW Celebration Area
- What's Included
I went to may 27, 2017. and was the worse handicap room I saw in my life.this room was turned it into a handicap. But not for the needs of the person. It was made for the needs of complying with a documentation because functional is not for de person. My husband use the wheelchair and never never in my life a saw a worse facility for person with wheelchair. Horrible disgusting and the furniture in the lobby was old and dirt. and the picture in the web site it don't work because can see good but the area are small I'm canceled and comeback to my home.
There isn't that much to say about this hotel. It's not terrible - but it's not great either. Located on what I would consider to be the "budget travellers" main avenue in Orlando, it's relatively close to the theme parks, but isolated from the rest of Orlando. Lots of chain restaurants are around, however, making it convenient that way. Rooms are average Holiday Inn style rooms. Nothing amazing, but nothing poor either. They're starting to show their age - as is this hotel in general. Hotel staff were just "okay" as well. Tried checking in at 2:30pm, was told absolutely no rooms available until 3pm. Found it hard to believe seeing as how the front desk clerk made no effort at all to at least check to see if my room was ready..and I would hope that most of the rooms were cleaned by 2:30 if 3pm is check-in. As an IHG Gold Member, I expect a little bit more effort, at the very least, to see if my room was ready. There is a resort fee....and for a hotel like this is, a resort fee is ridiculous and should be stopped, however. This is a far cry from a resort. It's an average hotel. If it's cheap, and you're on a budget, go for it. I'd recommend looking elsewhere though in a different area of Orlando..(i.e. Lake Buena Vista or the IDrive area) if you can. This certainly isn't my go-to hotel, and I wouldn't make an effort to go back there. The obnoxious resort fee is enough for me to look elsewhere first.
This was the worst IHG experience ever and I have been staying in IHG hotels outside of US too. I was bitten by bedbugs all over my arms, neck and upper back, causing a severe allergic reaction, with leaving scares visible even after 2 months of my stay. The front desk manager, credited 30,000 points to make up for all this suffering, which given the severeness of the bites sounds like a bad joke. I have reached out to IHG guest relations with a complain and was advised that the hotel GM will contact me within few days to reconcile this, which has never happened. I would have never stayed in this hotel, if not placed here as part of the promo offer by Holiday Inn Vacation Club. Not speaking about overflowing garbage cans and unreasonably long wait to just check in. Staff and maintenance we showed dead bug to, was not even surprised, which now makes complete sense, reading through some of these other reviews complaining about bed bugs which have been of course denied by the hotel management.
So we arrived to Kissimmee Florida on Tuesday to check into our hotel at the radisson resort celebration only to find the place was horrible! Dirty, not organized, and nothing what we expected, long story short we got our money back trying to find somewhere to stay we stumbled upon this hotel holiday inn celebration! Absolutely amazing staff! So we were told it would be cheaper to book on Expedia so we did but when checking in there weren't the accommodations we needed CARLOS at the front desk along with the manager was AMAZING AT ACCOMMODATING US! Despite all of the other reviews this place has i can differ because if you don't have great staff it can make for a crappy stay. The staff here is amazing down to the housekeeping!
Holiday Inn Orlando SW - Celebration Area Our room was not cleaned the first night we checked in. Toy trucks were underneath pillows which means sheets were not changed. Completely unsanitary and just gross. Someone's used wash cloth was left in the shower. Clearly not cleaned either. At night people were still in the pool at midnight. Could clearly make out conversations with the door closed. Pretty sure I read the pool closed at 10pm. Also the second day we come back from being gone most of the day to the hotel, it's ridiculously crazy. Lots of people just standing around. On our floor kids are just running up and down yelling. Music in someone's room was so loud our room was shaking. While my kids were outside on the balcony someone started smoking some weed. Absolutely Worst hotel I've ever stayed at!
