Oops I walked in to an occupied room

It's always dicey. I use this resort often but never given a key to an occupied room . When I opened the door to find it occupied I can only render the surprise on the chap's face. I apologized not sure why showed him that my key did open the door

Cheap hotel and tremendous value for Facilities

This hotel is one of our favourites due to the location and the friendliness of the staff . In particular MB made us feel so welcome whilst serving us at the bar and on some days he was also making the best pizzas in the area at the onsite Pizza Hut. The pool is open and our daughter was never out of itThe Tikki bar near the pool serves some great drinks and have nice cocktails as well as good offers on the beer. You truly get what you pay for and the facilities are good. Our room was cleaned everyday and the air conditioning worked well considering the temperatures outside.I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel as a good economic base and was not overpriced like many in that area.To be fair if we chose not to use the facilities and used it just as a base for Disney, I may have given it a 3 star rating, but seriously talk to the some of the staff like MB and you will find they are a great bunch of people and the bar area with the pool is an excellent place to socialise.

I’ll Never Book on Priceline Again

Like many on here, I booked on Priceline and paid $30 per night. I thought I landed a great deal for a “3 Star” hotel that was originally $80+.Once I paid in full I read reviews. Honestly? For 3 months leading to our trip I was mortified. We arrived late and the check in process took 30 minutes with two people in front of me. Got to the room and it was poor. Smell, decor, etc. My wife found hair in all clean towels and ground. We had to put the bed comforter on bathroom ground to walk.Next night we get in late from Disney and keys don’t work. Had to drive back to front at 1 AM. That was annoying. All in all, this booking was my fault. It was $30 what should I have expected? There were times I had legit anxiety our car was going to get broken into or someone was going to break into our room. I had no ease whatsoever. We even pick all our valuables in car with us when we left for day.I hoped that the bad reviews were just a few experiences when I read up on this place, but it was as bad as I sadly expected.Lesson learned. Never doing Priceline again.

Awful, truly awful

If any of you have read my other review on Rosen Center, this hotel is why we ended up there. Hurricane Irma was about to descend on us in a huge way, I had an over protective husband and 4 year old to deal with so I agreed that we should book a hotel as it's safer than staying in a villa.... Orlando was booked up everywhere other than this hotel and upon arriving I guessed why. We had a lake view... I am not sure it could be endorsed as a lake, more like a pond, or big puddle to be honest as the term 'lake view' conjured up romantic views to me, and believe me there was nothing romantic about this hotel.I was given our room key and the first thing I noticed is that the foyer/ reception looks nothing like the photographs on the booking sites... we arrived in the Saturday and had two nights booked as when booking we did not know what time Irma would DEFINATELY arrive. We found the room and immediately on entering the room, I felt a deep/awful feeling.. the room is without doubt the most depressing room I have ever had the misfortune to stay in.We were greeted with large groups of young men with no tops on who came over as quite intimidating. I didn't feel safe, even with my husband who is a police officer, 16 stone and 6'2. The room had a smell of old , musty furniture, the door did not fit properly, and by this I mean, I could see outside with the door shut, the gap around it was so big. The air con made the most horrendous noise we wouldn't of been able to sleep if we had tried. We made a decision to return to the villa. Keep a close eye on the weather and return when we had to. As we were leaving, we noticed some ladies leaving a hotel room, it was clear that they, shall we say were professionals which only made me feel worse. The following morning we woke to tornado and cyclone warnings about to hit the county we were staying in so we loaded the car and got back to the hotel much to my delight.By now it was very wet and extremely windy.. we got in the room and I just cried as it was so awful. I laid a towel in the bath to stand on while I showered so I didn't need to touch the bath. My husband had to stand on huge ants while he used the toilet, they were everywhere. There was no internet connection for us to communicate with our families so they knew we were ok. The carpet was so dirty I don't think there is a name for the shade of colour.I managed to speak to my mobile provider who sorted out my internet connection and I messaged a friend who got us into a different hotel... So during a huge downpour and heavy winds I packed up our things and got out of there. I would rather of took a chance in a closet within the villa than gave stayed at this hotel. The cleaning lady was the only nice point I could say if this hotel... the reception staff were abrupt and rude....

Did the job but was stung on resort tax

Only stayed here as package deal worked out cheap and wanted to do a road trip and tour the north of Florida.Stayed for 1 week package deal, Stung for 'resort tax' was no mention at the time of booking, no mention at time of checking in (they took credit card details which we thought was standard practice in case we wrecked the place) was handed a sheet with £77 dollars upon checking out only to realise this had come out of our account.Rather annoyed this wasn't highlighted prior to booking or even on the day of check in otherwise we would have booked several hotels on our road trip rather than the package. Air con was noisy, room wasn't all that and didn't try breakfast.Would go back to Florida but definitely not this hotel. Overall disappointing.
