Not too bad

Short stay....one night..check in exactly at 3...quick and easy.. my kids loved the pool and play area.. room was neat and clean...no complaints...not sure about the other reviews but my room 428 building 6 was ok

Transition to Miami with BFF!

Surprise from BFF an we are meet on in Miami, during my waiting period stayed at Maingate Lakeside Resort. Not very impressed with room amenities, etc. Staff was great even a soo many checking in. Rebecca an her staff Unique were great to work with. If in Orlando I may try again.

NEVER AGAIN, STAY ANYWHERE BUT HERE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was really hoping to give this hotel a good review, as I find people are more likely to give bad reviews, than good. We didn't expect a 5 star hotel, but after visiting Orlando many times, we at least expected somewhere clean, with good service and not being ripped off and spoken to like dirt. I come from a hotel background as my parents ran hotels most of my life, so I know what I am talking about.When I booked the holiday the company we booked with assured me the resort fees were included and gave me the hotel voucher that stated that was the case. To be sure I emailed the hotel on the 18th April and 10 June 2017, email address taken from their website, to confirm that the resort fees were included and attached a copy of the hotel voucher, both emails were unanswered. When we booked in, I asked the man on the front desk to confirm this was correct, he ignored me, so I asked him again and then he reread the voucher and said yes they were included. He then told me they were putting a hold on my credit card for incidentals, I asked how much he replied $77. The hotel room was very run down, but cleanish. The chambermaid was very friendly and even when my son was not well one day, was very concerned that she had not managed to get in and clean the room, so I signed her sheet and she gave me clean towels. The room wasn't spotless, but most of it is major wear and tear.The man in the shop, was also very rude and we walked out one evening.The morning we checked out, we wanted to get off early, to go to a water park, before we moved onto our next destination. I checked out and asked when the hold would be taken off our credit card and confirm no charges were made to it. I was then told they had put a hold of $140 on it and not $77 like we were told, then they were charging us $132 for resort fees, I produced the hotel voucher and was told that they will be charging us unlike it was in black and white. I asked to speak to someone about it and was told I would have to wait, till reservations came in. I asked why I was lied to when I checked in and this could have been avoided if they had replied to my emails, or at least in the 12 days I had stayed with them. I asked to see a manager and after I was told he was in a meeting and I would have to wait. Eventually he turned up and told me resort fees had to be paid. He did go in the back office and eventually came out and said they still had to be paid and implied it had been put on the voucher fraudulently. I saw red, I asked why they had not replied to either email and was told I was not a customer of theirs, as I hadn't booked direct, so they would not reply to my emails. SO the money I paid for the room and whilst I was staying with them, in the hotel didn't make me a customer?????? I could not believe what I was hearing. I asked them to contact the holiday company I had booked with in the UK, but I was told, their phones did not call out of the USA, I asked if there was a payphone I could use my phone card with and suddenly I was given their reception phone to use. Funny that a couple of minutes before it didn't ring out of the USA. I had to pay resort fees as they were taken them off my credit card, without my permission anyway. I contacted the company I bought the holiday with and they are going to refund them to me. I am totally disgusted with the way we were treated and am very pleased the company I bought the holiday off, have said they will not deal with this hotel anymore, I would not like anyone to go through this, as we lost a day in the water park, as by the time this was dealt with we had to move onto our next destination, plus it upset our holiday we had worked very hard to pay for.DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE. The 'Director of Operations' who we spoke to didnt even stay around to deal with us, left the receptionist to deal with us.

Worst Experience EVER!!!!

Mold everywhere in the bathroom and no one is ever at the front desk.The place was not livable and should have known with the price being so cheap. I think hotels need to do a better job of how they name their business because this was NOT a resort.

DO NOT STAY HERE! EVER!!!!

The staff seemed inconvenienced that we wanted to check in. I had called a few days before to go from my reservation again and the woman on the phone was angry that I would call and check. My room keys were just thrown on the counter and told me which room I was in. We got lot on our way because we were not given any instructions on how to get to our room. Main the way we found garbage, dirty laundry in commons areas, broken signs and lights. When we got to our room it seemed fine at first glance but upon further inspection there were white stains on one of the comforters and a red orange stain on another piece of furniture. The area around the motel did not feel safe either as there were random people wandering through and the doors to the room were very flimsy. We checked out that night and when back to Disney property. I would never recommend this property !
