Radisson Resort Orlando Celebration
- What's Included
If it wasn't for the staff like Ashley and Stephen we would find a different hotel for our annual trip to Kissimmee. Both are excellent. Some of the other staff could be quite rude especially when it neared 11pm (the bar closing time) on two occasions we were given a final drink and immediately told to go and drink it outside so they could close the bar. The rooms are tired, a tatty and smell damp. Bathrooms need completely renewing. The air conditioning units sound like a truck engine starting and the extractor fan sounds like an aircraft turbine. There was a lot of maintenance going on outside but we were still charged the $20 per day resort fee when the facilities were closed therefore couldn't be used. Not sure we will be back next year. This is a real shame as we have stayed in this hotel for 10 days in February for the last five years running. Hotel **Rooms *Staff **Ashley *****Stephen *****
We spent 2 nights in this resort. It was ok. Lobby not impressive. Heated pool and fitness center were very good. Rooms ok. Very clean. Be aware: there is a resort fee of $20.00 per night usually not included in your room rate.
When I arrived, the concierge guys out front were smoking and no one came to the car. Check in was smooth but poor instructions to find the room. Key card access to the free parking as well as the secure entrance to the rooms were not working although the front desk clerk said I needed to use them. Access to the carpark and hotel block remained unsecured 24h. The elevator lobby and hallway were stained and funky smelling. The bathroom shower leaked. And there are very limited food options on site. Oh and the garden view? A concrete turf with an old basketball court.
Came down recently for a work trip. I had never been to the area and Rose at the Tiki Bar made us feel right at home! She was kind and very well experienced with the area! The other two waitresses that were at the Tiki Bar were awesome also, even-though their names escape me. I was very impressed with the set-up of the hotel, very accommodating and covered walk ways for when a storm came through. We will definitely bring the family down as it is geared towards families for sure. Overall I had a great experience
PROS- This hotel was better than the resort on Disney property we stayed at. The rooms are bigger, the bathroom is better and the Price is a lot better. Pool has a water slide and waterfall. Pizza Hut in the lobby is good priced and tasted good.Cons- Staff is not friendly, elevator is very old was scared to get on it. They pre authorize your card for 50 dollars per day over the total room rate and then when you check out they charge your card. So until that pre authorization comes off it looks like they charged you 598 for a 2 night stay. I don't like that at all. When I questioned that I was told to read the fine print on the form when I checked in and the sign on the counter. Very rude. I honestly did not meet a nice person working in this hotel. Very different when you are at Disney all day and every worker is happy and makes you feel welcome and then you come here and they are rude.
