This is paradise

Rented a privately owned condo so I can't comment on renting directly from the development. This place is so beautiful and peaceful. The pool and beach club is resort quality and the grounds are so beautifully manicured. Staff is very friendly and are very unobtrusive. We spent many evenings watching the sunset from the beach club. This place is second to none and we can't wait to come back!

17F You had me at Aloha. I miss you Halii Kai. 💔😭

My two daughters and their husband and boyfriend and I all stayed here in this paradise for 6 short days. Let me begin by applauding Jamie in the front office for awesome customer service and all with a smile. She was friendly and professional 100% of the time and made our stay beautiful. Thank you Jamie! Now to the Ocean Club... immaculate pool and bar area, beautiful open air gym. Also, a BBQ and hot tub. The salt water pool is perfect and overlooks the ocean and is the place to be at sunset. Clean bathrooms in the area too and clean towels for you to use while at the pool. We received superb service at the bar and thoroughly enjoyed our bartender named Quinn. We looked forward to spending time at the pool and bar because Quinn made it a fun place to be. He is a great conversationalist and pays attention to all of the guests equally. Kudos to Halii Kai for having such an awesome bartender. We were sad to miss Quinn on our last day at the pool and wanted to tell him that we truly appreciate that he made our stay fun! Tips: Enjoy the pool at sunset and bring your camera for photo ops. Bring flip flops. Bring a flashlight. The Big Island is dark due to regulations set to keep lights from interfering with the observatory. The pool opens early but it seems that it closed at 9pm. The restaurant and bar close earlier. Side note: Halii Kai is a place to relax and enjoy your downtime. It is quiet and beautiful and lovely. But If you are looking for a party this probably isn't the place you want to be. The pool is for leisure time and not for jumping and playing in. The pool staff keep a close eye on what's happening in the pool area and will let people know if they are breaking the rules. I would say this wouldn't be a fun place for children or teenagers. Also, you can't bring in any food or beverages. You can only buy from the restaurant. Make sure to bring flip flops and a shirt or cover up in case you want to eat. You must have shirt and shoes in the bar area. The pavement also gets really hot anyway so flip flops are a good idea. I will definitely stay here again in 17 F which has a distant view of the ocean. It is a two level with the master and other large bedroom upstairs. The third bedroom is downstairs and has a pull out futon. All rooms have a television with limited cable channels. The living room, dining room and kitchen are gorgeous. Vaulted ceilings and fully equipped kitchen. Washer and dryer ( bring laundry soap etc). Coffee pot (Bring coffee etc as coffee supplies are limited) and there's a microwave and oven and stove top. Full size refrigerator. Bathroom downstairs is standard tub and shower sink and toilet. Upstairs the master has a large tub and separate shower stall. Double vanityWith sinks. There's a second lanai off the master. (There's also one on the main floor that has two tables on it. )Second room upstairs is a nice size with a queen bed I think. Bathroom is in the hall and has a shower, sink, and toilet. I could go on and on. This is a VERY NICE place. No complaints other than I wish there was a BBQ on the lanai and the toilet on the main floor was noisy ( which I kept forgetting to say something about so it wasn't too bothersome). Clean and beautiful and is a second level unit which keeps bugs out and that makes me happy. Air conditioner worked great. So good that I wish that I had more blankets. They have a few nice beach chairs in the closet in the laundry room, a boogie board, some beach towels and a few other things. So much more to say but I'll just stop and say you won't regret staying here. Say hello to Jamie and Quinn and enjoy your stay in paradise!

Late summer getaway

We stayed in unit 8F, available through Kona Coast Vacations. It was a very nicely appointed 3 bed/3 bath condo. We had plenty of room. The lanais opened up on a beautiful golf course along with a spectacular ocean view. The sunsets were absolutely amazing. There were enough beach equipment and tools for us to use. We will definitely be return to this place! The Ocean Club staff were professional and very friendly. The live entertainment during happy hour was delightful. We really enjoyed the ocean-side views of pool area and enjoyed the sunsets while having dinner.

Beautiful Home

We stayed in Unit 20F, 3 bedrooms 3 bathrooms and it was beautiful, clean, updated and well stocked. The kitchen had everything needed to cook any kind of meal and a BBQ on the lanai. One closet had beach chairs and mats, they weren't in the greatest condition but we did use them. We purchased a beach umbrella and left it for others to use. Overall it was a great place to stay, but it would have been great to have beach access and a bigger pool with shade. The staff was awesome, very helpful and friendly. Will probably return and stay here again.

Best vacation ever! See you soon, paradise!

Stayed in unit 16E with my family of 4. Myself, my hubby, 13yo and 6yo. Loved staying on the first floor while I sipped wine or coffee on the lanai and the kids cartwheeled in the gorgeous lawn. The rooms were nicely furnished and the appliances were fairly updated. The unit was well equipped and we only needed food and seasonings. Beach and court toys were stocked in the unit. The front office had extra laundry and dish tabs if needed. The staff was quick with requests and extremely friendly. The pool was perfect ...about 1:1 kid to adult ratio and the deepest was 4ft. Loved the little restaurant to grab a quick drink or snack while lounging poolside. Did I mention the beautiful views?! If I go back to Waikoloa, I will only stay at Hali'i Kai.
