Hāli`i Kai was the best!

Hāli`i Kai made our stay very relaxing. First thing off the bat, their front desk person, Pua, was the sweetest person we've ever met. She made us feel welcomed, taken care of, and comfortable. Our condo provided us with everything from central AC to even having laundry detergent. The pool was beautiful, especially at night. Over all, Pua and Hāli`i Kai made our stay the best!

Relaxing getaway

We stayed in unit 24A for a week and enjoyed the condo every minute we were in it. The beds were super comfy and the kitchen has everything we needed and then some. It's nice going into a condo rental when there is simple condiments in it like salt, pepper, some seasonings, tin foil, zip lock bags, and many others. They all came into use. We were very thankful. The owners of the Condo were pleasant to rent from and they had plenty of extra items in the condo to use... Tennis rackets and balls, boogie boards, chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, and lots of snorkel gear to name a few. The laundry room was equipped with soap and cleaning supplies. The outside patio was nice to sit at and have dinner. This unit is less than a 10 minute walk to the pool/gym area. I highly recommend this unit to rent! Oh FYI... Stop at Costco on ur way to the condo and stock up... It's definitely worth it!

20 D

We had a nice stay at Halii Kai. It's a lovely property. If you enjoy hanging out by the pool in your swimsuit, be warned that there is very little shade and no umbrellas. This was our first time to Halii Hai and we booked our trip through Costco which means we didn't choose which unit we stayed in. Now that we've been, we will look into booking our stay ourselves to have more control over which unit we stay in.20D has a nice warm, shady garden view Lanai. Only problem was the Lanai for 20D has only one piece of outdoor furniture to sit on. We had to use a dining room chair so we could both enjoy the Lanai together. The property manager was unable to help us.When we arrived we drove south to Costco and Safeway for food. If we go back, we'd go to the food market at the Queen's Marketplace for whatever we can't get at Costco. Prices are close to the same as Safeway and the market at the Queen's Marketplace had fresh and interesting items. We hope this information is helpful, if you're planning a trip to Halii Kai.

A Lovely Resort

This is a very beautiful resort. As you drive through the complex you'll notice well kept exteriors and wonderful landscaping. The pool area overlooks the ocean and has a beautiful design. Overlooking the pool and the ocean is a bar/restaurant with a nice menu. It's a wonderful way to watch sunset. The staff is pleasant and professional. Sapphire, the bartender, was absolutely delightful and a positive ambassador for the resort and Hawaii. The units are privately owned so each one is appointed and furnished differently. We were in 17 B which was comfortable but in need of a update. It was billed as a garden view. Unfortunately the lanai overlooked the street. The master suite was large with lots of closets. The guest suite was nice. The units come with a full kitchen plus a washer and dryer. The main area included a living room, dining room plus lanai. The front office team was helpful, responsive and very nice. Areas that could use improvement include providing a better map of the complex that actually shows where each unit is including the unit number. When arriving for the first time, it is difficult during the day to find a particular unit and nearly impossible at night. The bathrooms do not have grab bars in the walk-in shower nor for the tub/tile combination. They do provide a shower stool upon request. There are second story units and no elevators. We enjoyed our stay so much we will return later this year.

Gone down hill fast!

Fend for yourself, over $500 a day... 2 rolls of toilet paper for 3 weeks, 1 kitchen garbage bag, master tub so gross ( filled with a years worth of human hair) I almost puked, cigarette burns in the carpet, broken blinds and can't open the bedroom window. Burnt out lights in 3 rooms, left us without a broom and striped the cupboards bare of any laundry, dish soap or pantry and fridge items left from other guest! 5th time renting a unit in Hawaii and all of us in the condo are extremely disappointed! 2 stars only for the location, pool area and bar/ restaurant staff!
