Outrigger Fairway Villas
- What's Included
Arrived today 4th May after a fabulous stay at the Outriiger Waikiki Shore. I was very excited about a continued Family experience , the Outrigger Fairway Villa was a , Unit F-34, was a shock . The carpet in the master bedroom carpet was discolored with stains and black skid marks, it looked filthy. The lamps in the bedroom were clearly torn and all beds were hard as rocks with one of the twin beds slumped in the middle . The was also cans of Paint in the pantry. Front desk said they'd clean stains (those stains arent lifting) , then possibly move on the 5th . We just moved 5 adults -1 infant & $334 of groceries & luggage to a 3rd floor unit; exhausted we thought to make a go of it & now discovered the fridge was not cooling. We'll see what happens tomorrow so will hold final review. This place is so gross though
We booked out stay thru Costco Travel and got a package deal here for a 2bd/2ba. Our unit was on 2nd floor overlooking the golf course. Liked that we were on the very end unit so not much noise. Some units have garages and others had a carport. We had a carport with assigned parking spot. Flight arrived after offices closed so we got instructions for lockbox and entrance. This is a gated location so you need code to enter. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. They have a small pool area with jacuzzi and an attendant that monitors the pool. There is a small open air gym and bbq grills right next to the pool. You are conveniently located next to the Kings shops and Queens shops are across the street. There are many places to eat but since we were in the condo we headed to Costco for food and had breakfast/dinners at condo. The unit itself was clean and somewhat updated in the living room with rattan furniture and kitchen. They even delivered a new refrigerator during our stay because the owner said the one in there wasn't working properly. The master bathroom needed a major upgrade. Shower tiles were old, sink counters and faucets were from the 80's and they added swinging "bar saloon" type doors between the bedroom & bathroom which was really irritating. My husband unscrewed them and stuck them in the walk in closet and replaced them before we left. There were some beach chairs and mats in closet for our use also. Liked that the washer/dryer was in the unit. There were some small stains in the carpet in the master and 2nd bdrm but it was pretty minor. The 2 twin beds were so much more comfortable than the king bed which was a little hard for us. They really also need to get much more comfortable pillows. There was wifi available in our unit but not that great. Kids were trying to watch Netflix and the streaming took so long they quit. Not sure if we would choose to stay here again only because this came in a package deal. There are other locations which were equally as nice but much more comfortable sleep. Overall the location was great, ammenities were good, but the sleep comfort could be better.
This was our first time staying at a condo property. The Fairway Villas was recommended by our travel agent and we were not disappointed. Check in and check out were both quick and easy. The property is private and relaxing. The grounds are beautiful and well mantained. We had a 1 bedroom unit in Bldg I and it met all of our needs. The location was very convenient to the beach(bay), shopping and dining.
We booked directly with the owner via VRBO. Each unit is individually owned and the quality of th furnishing depends upon the owner. N24 is a great unit and the owners Nick and Anna are great to deal with. You can find their VRBO listing and check the photos for yourself. The lanai has a great view of the 4th tee of the Beaches course and overlooks the lagoon and Kings Shops. You also have mountain views and the sunset. The unit also has lots of beach gear including chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, coolers and snorkle gear. The wifi is fast, flatscreens in all rooms with lots of channels and best of all for me free long distance calling to Canada and the US. The Fairway Villas is located at the Waikoloa Beach Resort. There is an excellent shopping, restaurants and Anaeho'omalu Bay beach is nearby. There is a decent pool and fitness center. The pool in April was warm, but the air temp at this time was over 85 degrees F. I cannot speak for the other units, but I would recommend N24.
Stayed with my family for 4 nights. The condo we stayed in was 2 bedrooms. It was spacious and clean but perhaps a little dated. Everything was on hand and they have lifts in every complex for rooms on higher levels. It has a small gym and a small pool which you have keys to get into. There is 2 shopping centres Kings and Queens. Kings is smaller just down the road from complex and Queens is across the road which is a lot bigger. The queens supermarket is better than the kings one and has a lot more choice. Daylight mind restaurant in Queens is lovely for breakfast and in Kings the fish and chip place is good. If you want good music and food at night if you walk along the beach to the Lava Lava club its wonderful (for lunch as well.) The beach hires snorkels and flippers by the hour and a few other activities .The Grand Circle Island tour is a must as it shows you a lot of the island and you visit many places Very Central accommodation would stay again
