Roach hotel and horribly uncomfortable king size bed. It was almost u shaped. My husband and I rolled into each other all night. Shower was never hot..luke warm at best with no pressure on the flow. Disappointing
Booked this hotel six months in advance. Was surprised when told that I had to pay for parking while staying at this hotel. Was told that I was receiving an upgrade when I checked in which consisted of a microwave in the room and a view of the fireworks from Disney World. Never saw any fireworks and doesn't 99% of hotel rooms provide a microwave in the room?
Good breakfast buffet. Rooms are very clean and buses are reliable. Restaurant is OK but hotel is very close to Disney Springs for a wide variety of food. Down side is extra $13/day charge for parking your car etc but I believe they all do that.
My family of four booked an oversized room on the top floor. When we arrived, we were informed that due to damage caused my Hurricane Irma, our room was no longer available. It would have been nice to have been informed before we arrived that the room we were planning on staying in, was not available. While we were certainly disappointed, we knew that Hurricane damage wasn't the fault of the hotel. So, we remained optimistic and checked out our new room. Nice view, but it wasn't near the size we were expecting. We went back to the front desk and requested a room with a little more space....something closer to the size we had originally booked. They moved us... this time to a "corner room." They also removed the resort fee as a courtesy which was a nice gesture. It was a little bigger, even had a sofa. The balcony was large. But, to get outside, you really had to pull and pry the doors open. I was also worried about the condition of the balcony railing. With two young kids, I didn't feel safe with them holding onto the railing. It looks rundown, old, rickety and not safe. Inside the room, the decor is so outdated... 1970's style blue chair, popcorn ceiling and the loudest air conditioner in Florida. There are chargers near the TV, but if you have the TV on and your cell phone near-by...charging...get ready to hear some buzzing/static noise in the TV. So 1970's.The bed was average. The paint was drooping from the ceiling in the bathroom. The couch was like plywood with a thin cushion. About the only thing that worked right was the fridge, which was bigger than average. The first morning we went to the breakfast buffet, we were informed by the waitstaff that we had to use paper plates and forks because the hotel was planning to shut the water off. This was the first we had heard of the water being turned off. When we checked in the night before, we were never informed of this plan. Thankfully, for our family it wasn't a problem as we were at the parks all day. But! You would think that management would have at least let us know. The only notice we saw about the water being shut off was a letter left in the room sometime after we ate breakfast. That evening trying to get hot water was a challenge. The water was luke warm at best. Again, the lack of communication...was frustrating. The breakfast buffet is a nice convenience. The waitstaff were all very friendly, welcoming and attentive. There's a collection of 5 cold cereals, Mickey waffles, cooked to order omelettes and fried eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, country potatoes with peppers and onions, french toast, oatmeal/grits, fruit, cottage cheese and grocery store style danishes. The food is fine, not great, not terrible. The coffee was good. I don't think I would have paid $15 for the buffet, had it not been for my voucher from my AAA rate.Overall, this hotel needs some major renovations. If you are looking for a very inexpensive place to stay, this is your place. If you are looking for a place that is clean, quiet, well run and doesn't feel outdated and out lived, then look elsewhere.
Staff was the best part of our stay! The rooms are great and well kept for how old they are, but I'm sure they will be renovating in the near future. Great location and kids eat free with all you can eat breakfast, so that is a nice option.
