Buena Vista Suites
- What's Included
My husband and I just finished up our week-long trip to Disneyworld and Universal Studios in Orlando, and we were pleasantly surprised by how accommodating the staff was. Particularly Isabel, who helped us out when we brought up that our room had a strange smell. She immediately apologized for the inconvenience, and initially offered to let us switch to a new room first thing in the morning (we had visited the Concierge at the end of the day when we returned from the parks). She wanted to have us switch rooms as soon as possible, but there were no standard rooms available until the next morning. THEN, she went above and beyond by offering us a King size suite to move into instead that very same night for no additional cost. She felt so bad about the smell of our original room, that she didn't want us to have to live with it another night. The new room smelled just fine, and was on the same floor, so it was an easy switch. And, of course, it offered all the amenities of a King Suite, when we only really needed a standard room, so that was a really lovely surprise. Having breakfast included in the stay also helped us keep our costs down so we didn't have to spend SO much money on food in the parks. I was expecting a typical continental breakfast, but they even had eggs and rotated sausage, bacon, hash, pancakes, waffles and potatoes as well (depending on the day). The food wasn't extraordinary, but it was complimentary and all you can eat, so it made our lives much easier in the long run. Overall, we had an excellent stay at this Hawthorn Suites hotel.
We stayed four nights here. The front desk Isabella and staff Mayra were both very nice and helpful. We stayed at another hotel before moving to Hawthorn. This hotel is way better than Baymont Inn and Suite. Will stay at Hawthorn again.
All we can say is that it doesn't get any better than when an issue may arise that you can count on the man named RAFAEL! Who is he, you ask? He is the GM of this property....Our experience is that this man, RAFAEL is on property, involved, caring, overseeing every aspect of the operation. What's more this man, RAFAEL is most professional and something you see rarely...SINCERE and does indeed take customer satisfaction seriously. The front desk staff most pleasant as is the other intricate parts of this property. With the current staffing from Rafael on down it can only get better.
We stayed here back in March / April. We booked 2 rooms, one for myself and my girlfriend and one for her parents. Although at first, my girlfriend's parents had an issue with their room - it was quickly resolved by the helpful staff and they were moved to a better room.Everything about this hotel was brilliant, we found the staff extremely helpful, especially the lady serving nachos/hotdogs and he free drinks in the evening (which is a brilliant idea-especially when you've been at the parks all the day). Our rooms were big, clean, comfy and quiet. The pool was a lovely place to relax, if you wanted to head to the parks later on or in the evening. The breakfast was a saviour, and filled us up everyday, meaning we spent less on food whilst out at the parks. The shuttle buses to the parks were probably the most surprising thing (having stayed at other hotels and had numerous issues with them before) but we were the first stop every morning meaning we were always able to get a seat and first drop off on the way home. There was also a lynx bus right outside that would take you to Disney Springs and then you could go to Typhoon Lagoon/ Blizzard beach from there. We are planning on visiting Orlando again in 2019, and we are 100% staying here again - and they'll be 3 more of us! We cannot wait.
So we stayed here last two weeks in August , we had two rooms and there were five of us and the rooms were excellent , spacious and cleaned daily , and Sheron the maid was lovely and always friendly and said good morning to us every day .The breakfast was good and something for everyone The shuttles to Disney were very efficient and always on time .The evening receptions with Myra were also great she was really friendly and really helpful , and a beer and nibbles at the end of a busy day around the parks was always very welcoming The outdoor pool area was great always plenty of beds .The reception area was large and the staff very helpful. We would return to this hotel and my only request for the future would be a hotel bar please .
