You should lower your expectations before coming to this hotel. In a city where there are so many options to stay, this hotel needs to up their game. From offering basic amenities such as conditioner to subpar maintenance. Shower dripped the entire time. After two flushes into our stay (liquid only) the toilet clogged. It appears to have had a "remodel" somewhat recently but obviously done on the cheap. Carpet stains in halls. Staff was less than helpful and one in particular was grouchy and unaccommodating. Not at all what we expected for a 4.5 rated hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
We are hopeful in this hotel. It is very nice, has a heated pool and jacuzzi.Very like the room.It has an event from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm in which is the social hour where soft drinks, wines, beers are served.the good attention of Mayra stands out.Very attentive, very cordial.
We stayed here for 5 weeks over Christmas and New year. We was greeted and checked in by a very welcoming and helpful reception guy. Other members of our family were going to join us at a later date and he said they would do their best to place them in a room near to us when the time came and indeed that did happen. We were told we had a top floor room looking over the pool and we were glad about that as other reviewers had pointed out that they were good rooms. When we got to our room we were a little dissapointed because our room was in the corner of the L shaped building which meant that from our sitting area we were just looking out onto the windows of other rooms so here comes the only two negatives I have to comment on. Firstly....room 513 (and I'm assuming 413, 313, 213 and 113) is to be avoided if possible due to the feeling of being stuffed in a corner. Secondly....the rooms do look a little dated. That said, the room was clean and with ample room and there was a handy kitchen with a large fridge. The complimentary breakfast was adequate and we always left there full and ready to hit the parks. This saved us money and time that we would have spent if we had needed to go out to get our breakfast. The location of this hotel is really good. It is just a 10 min drive away from Disney springs and not much further to all the other Disney parks. Sea world and discovery cove is close too. Although Universal is a little further away, it is still really easy to get to. The staff at the Hawthorns are really friendly and helpful. I've mentioned about the reception guys being good but we found everyone to be pleasant. Special mention for Eduardo and Marilyn who were absolute gems at breakfast times. Always made time to chat with us and make us feel welcome...very important from our point of view. Also Mayra who runs the complimentary beer and wine nights, she was lovely. Not forgetting Miller (hope I have got the name right) he is the engineer. We had two small problems with a light flickering and water in the sink going down slowly. As we were leaving our room we saw Miller outside and told him about these problems and he came in and fixed the problem immediately. You don't get that kind of prompt service in most hotels so well done Miller. Even the house keeping lady Gladys was so lovely and did a good job of keeping the room clean. If I were to come to Orlando again would I stay here again ? Yes I would. I would ask for a different room but would be happy to come see everyone again and enjoy a good holiday.
We stayed here during a business trip to Orlando and we had a great time here. The service was excellent thanks in many ways to Mayra, who was very polite and provided us with great customer service. The rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel has a media room, game room for kids, a well kept pool and jacuzzi and also has free self parking. They had a happy hour from 5:30 to 7:30 Monday thru Thursday in which they would give you 2 free drinks and snacks per hotel guest. All in all we were very happy with our stay here and would come back.
Great place for a family to stay for a reasonable price. One bedroom suite with two queen beds and pull out in living room was a good value for our family of 6. Full kitchen is great for quick cooking, snack storage and fridge storage. Quiet hotel, nice, free hot breakfast. Free parking and free wifi. Customer service was always wonderful and management response to any concerns was immediately addressed.
