This was a great place to stay. We booked with Virgin Holidays and upgraded to a suite with a view of the fireworks. Everyday the towel fairy arrived while we were out and replaced all the towels, made all the beds and even put the dishwasher on. Frankie Farrells was a great place to eat and the service was great. Close to all the attractions. Would stay here again
There was plenty of space , rooms were great kitchen was clean and close to attractions will absolutely stay again however I will bring my Own pillows and blankets because those were not good at all but overall definitely worth staying
great overall expiriance, will definatly come back!great staff; everyone was friendly and helpfull.Frankies farrels Pub has great food and quick service. the pool bar was also well stocked, had good2for 1 specials and excellent bar staff.
This resort was great. The price for a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo was less than what you'd pay for a standard room at one of Disney's lower end on property resorts. The drive to Disney was 10 minutes. The pool and the grounds were great, the room was very clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. I plan to stay here again on my next trip to Disney.
There is no doubt that not many places in Orlando offer this type of accommodation for families. The rooms are spacious with all the amenities you would have at home, allowing you to cook and clean rather than eat out and bring endless changes of clothes. They are also quiet and have the odd touch of luxury (namely the jacuzzi bath). It is a big place with 5 buildings but easy to navigate and also has a supermarket and a pub among the facilities. Parking is plentiful and its location is ideal for Disney, I-Drive and even attractions further East. Would we stay there again? In the absence of similar, newer facilities then yes. The pool is also a nice large area and kids enjoyed playing there. The downsides are that even though we booked a renovated room, it still had issues. Lights didn't work and the window blinds are extremely flimsy and do not block out any light at all hardly - so if you are light sleeper and like to sleep in of a morning, you need to bring so form of black out curtain with you. We had the need to call maintenance twice during our week. First time no show at all and second we time we had to call twice and they appeared after about an hour. We also booked early and called at least three times to get a rennovated room. That we did but just two floors above where work was continuing. As 80% of the rooms had now been done, we seemed to have gotten the short straw there too as we were met by workman, noise and dust on every trip down the elevator. So not really looked after during room allocation despite multiple polite requests. The hotel is also a little tired and tatty around the pool area, with fibre glass showing and most of the seagrass roof of the bar having come off. The pirate ship is effectively just a slide, you cannot go on deck as it were - in case you were wondering. That itself is also in need of a spruce up. We were affected by Hurricane Matthew and because of that wished to extend our stay two nights. We were asked to come back to reception twice to check availability and in the end we gave up and booked elsewhere. Not very helpful on that as they effectively kicked my young family into the street in favour of new arrivals. Good yes, amazing no and a touch overrated on here in my opinion. Overpriced too.
