Staybridge Suites Orlando Lake Buena Vista
- What's Included
I am thoroughly unimpressed with this property. I booked a room here in a hurry. Unfortunately, my usual spot was shockingly overpriced. I still paid more than usual, but I know the ES brand well and have always experienced a great night. I arrived late in the evening. I pulled up to the valet. I politely informed the valet attendant I am checking in. He asked me to pull up, but there are (no less than) 4 cars parked in front of the building. Where can I go? I can't move any further, so I leave the car where it is and I go inside. 2 minutes later I hear my car alarm go off. Someone apparently tried to open a door. I disarmed it from the lobby. 5 minutes later my alarm goes off again. Now I'm annoyed, but I don't want to get out of line, because when I arrived the line at the front desk was 4 or 5 people deep. I was (almost) next and there were 3 more people behind me. Then. A large rowdy crowd of (what looked like) a Brazilian Soccer Team entered from a party bus and decided to hold a club meeting in the lobby. All in, I waited almost 15 minutes to reach the front desk. I received the room from the front desk. The parking lot is VERY confusing (even with a map). The buildings aren't numbered. I park, get to my room and the 1st key didn't work, thankfully the 2nd key did. I turn on the lights and they are the daylight/fluorescent kind?! Really?! Blech!! They make everyone look like they need iron or recently ate bad sushi, additionally the color of the light hurts my eyes. Then! Surprise! No bar soap! Refrigerator? It was turned off? (Meds had to stay on ice). Furniture? It's newer but already worn. Then! Two dead palmetto bugs! Call 'em what you want! They're large flying roaches! There was one in the bathroom and one in the bedroom. (I guess they forgot to check out?) THEN! At 11:45PM just as I'm about to slip into bed, my friends, (the Brazilian Soccer Team) decide it is time for a friendly game of Ping Pong and Foosball in the courtyard by the pool! With both table games going simultaneously, it sounded as though there was a woodpecker stuck in the steel drum of a cement mixer while dragging a piano! For additional ambiance the sound of beer bottles, crashing metal gates, and loud cheering created a true authentic experience. Also, it was quite annoying. I let the "1st Annual Table Top Olympics" continue for about 10 minutes before I called the front desk. 20 minutes later their begrudging moans and groans could be heard as hostel ..er hotel security put the kibosh on their Olympic dreams. The gate slammed (no less than) 10 times as they all left their make-shift Grecian Arena. Incidentally, sound transfers VERY well in these rooms. Anyone walking on the catwalk or even talking in their room can be heard. I am writing this BEFORE I've been able to get to sleep. Even as I'm writing this the gate downstairs is opening and closing more than a Florida's Turnpike tollbooth. If I don't get much sleep. I'm not going to be happy. If I'm not going to be happy. I don't write happy reviews. If I don't write happy reviews I don't come back to places I don't write happy reviews for. ..see you in the morning
Special thanks to Marcela and staff who made our birthday celebration special. The free cocktail hour from 5-7 was great. They topped it off by bringing out cake and ice cream which was amazingly great. The rooms were nice and clean. Special shout out to Pee Wee on the omelette bar. The breakfast was great!
We came in Monday to celebrate our anniversary weekend and immediately ran into this sign pool out of order...The front desk tried to tell us it was noted on there website. My wife goes downstairs at 10:00 am to get a cart so we can checkout we couldn't get a cart until we called corporate and received one almost immediately.Seems like they want to force you to use there bellmen to move your luggage..I would recommend that you call any Embassy Suites hotel directly and make sure there isn't any type of construction going on!!!Look at time at bottom of tv..
This hotel has great bus service to Disney, Universal and Epcot. The bus picked up at the entrance to the hotel and returned . The hotel does have a overnight parking fee and if using this hotel to go the amusement parks there is really no need for a car.The included breakfast was a hit for all guests and started at seven in the morning. There is abundant seating and tables so that is not an issue and the food variety was extensive. They also offer a early evening snack and cocktail complimentary.
i would like to mention 2 outstannding people of the breakfast crew VANESSA and LIZANGELA their smile in the morning and cheerful greating in the morning was one of the most wonderful ways to stare the day. both of these ladys did all they could do to make my stay a plesent one I took notice as to how they worked so hard to keep everything clean and make sure that all the guest were taken care of
