Our Opinion

Not the newest or most impressive of Las Vegas resorts, but if you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel in a central Strip location, Bally's is a good choice. It is located on the same corner as the Bellagio, Flamingo and Caesar's Palace and is right beside and connected to Paris Las Vegas. Renovated rooms in the Jubilee Tower are spacious and contemporary.

Overview
Bally's gives you panoramic views of the desert & mountains and its unique changing neon columns welcome you as you enter this classy wonder, the hotel that calls itself 'A city within a city.' Teeming with amenities in a superb central location on the Strip, a 1.6 mile long elevated monorail links Bally's to the MGM Grand Hotel, Casino & Theme Park.

Location: Central Strip, directly beside the Paris Las Vegas and across from the Bellagio.

Cleans and Friendly

We stayed at the Cromwell and attended a conference at the attached Paris. Every morning I walked through Bally's to get to my destination. Every Dealer said good morning as well as other staff members. The cocktail service was excellent and I enjoyed the aluminum bottles. The overall experience was clean and fresh. Great location!

JC's Vegas trip

The gambling floor had the machines I was looking for. Less smoke in the casino that others. Staff was friendly and courteous. Atmosphere was good. The casino floor was clean and staff was visible on clening up the gambling area.

Oct 2017 Trip to Vegas

We just had our 2nd trip to Vegas and stayed at Bally's this time. I honestly only have 1 complaint. I believe that Bally's and all hotels in Vegas should have security at all elevators taking you to room floors. We stayed the previous year at Treasure Island and they had security at all elevators leading to room floors. You could not even get upstairs unless you had your room key. Sadly in todays world I believe this is an important step in keeping all guest safe. At Bally's anyone at anytime of day/night can get on any elevator and go to any room floor. This would be my only complaint. As far as the room we had an excellent room, (facing Paris and part of the Bellagio) the hotel is very well located on the Strip you are pretty much right in the middle of the strip. Excellent location. Easy access to anything on the strip.

As expected, lot of fun

We went with 3 other couples and stayed at ballys, we’ve stayed there 3 times now and have had good experiences every time. Not a top of the line hotel but definitely not bottom of the barrel either, it was a fair priced hotel and very accommodating of our needs. If your at all interested in Michael Jackson you must watch the show at Mandalay Bay, it was amazing

Deceptive reservation practices.

My wife and I planed a late vacation this year, and so we went to Vegas. Bally's was mid strip, and moderately priced, and the rooms were spacious. Since we are non smokers, and sleep in a king size bed at home, we reserved a non smoking king room with our credit card. We had read up on the express checking kiosks, and had followed the process on-line, and had even done the advanced check in from home with plans to use the kiosk on arrival. The advanced check in even asked about what time we would arrive, and we were there almost exactly when we said we would be there at 9:30pm local time. That's about where the good news ended. The attempt to use the kiosk showed that "our room wasn't ready yet, and they would send me an e-mail when it was" Really?, Room not ready at 9:30PM? We went to the registration desk, and got a story that they didn't know why the kiosk said that. They issued us keys, and off we went to the room. It wasn't until we arrived at the room that we found that it was not the king room we reserved. This was not mentioned at the registration desk!So we went back down to the front desk assuming that there was a simple mistake. We were told that rooms are assigned on a first come first served basis, and a registration for a room doesn't mean you will get that room! No Non-smoking King rooms were available! We reluctantly decided to take the room with the two smaller beds because we had been traveling all day, and didn't have the energy to begin looking for a correct hotel room at this time of night. The room was reasonably spacious, and a non-smoking room as we expected, but the carpet was old and dirty. The TV cabinet doors were either ripped off, or just missing, leaving the mechanism visible. However the television was a reasonable flat panel HD tv with a good selection of channels. Several places, especially in the bathroom the wallpaper was peeling, or had patches that were also peeling. The sink cabinetry and mirror had pealing paint, and the mirror molding was deteriorated, and falling apart.Housekeeping threw things away that we were not done with, and had not put in the trash.Summary: Pros: Middle of the strip. Reasonably sized rooms, Variety of dining from inexpensive to higher end. Good monorail access.Cons: Lower level walkways are deteriorated, and have so many coats of wax and dirt that they are black. Lobby area is not ventilated nearly as well as other nearby hotel / resorts.I don't go to Vegas to gamble, but at Bally's just getting the room you reserve IS a gamble, and I lost! I was also discouraged at the staffs lack of assistance, They had that attitude that "this is just the way it is"
